The Mysterious Portal

Prolog

Ivy was flying around to all her friends telling them she was going to Granada soon. Every one could see she was very excited but really had no tdea where Granada was and why she was going there. Banshee was really enjoying being in the treehouse with Ginger and the two Garson Fairies. Ginger was trying out some new recipes while Keiko and Amelie were entertaining Banshee and making her laugh a lot. Back at the palace everything seemed to be normal, it was another hot day so everyone including all the elves were were wearing very little in order to stay as cool as possible. After Tulip and Lilly made hunch for everyone at the palace. Alieta asked Lilly if she could go with Ginger to the neigbouring town to learn about banks. Lilly was more than happy to go with her, she had never left Fae Land since she first arrived and considered it an adventure. Ginger packed some supplies and brought some money with her and they both headed out. How do you like being on a horse? asked Ginger. I like it, said Lilly. Nice and bouncey. Well you can fly if you want, said Ginger. No not now, I want to stay with you so we can talk and stuff. Flying slow is harder to do then going fast. Okay then, hang on, I am going to go a bit fasted now, said Ginger.

Chapter 1

  The rest of the day went like any other day in Fae Land just that Alieta had to sit on the steps by herself. When Ginger and Lilly got to the town, the bank was closed so Ginger took Lilly to a hotel to spend the night and get a early start in the morning. Needless to say everyone that saw the two of them were quite surprised to see an elf and a fairy riding a horse in their town. The following morning Alieta went outside to check the sun dial. Wow, we are in for another hot day. I don't remember it being so hot for so many days in a row, she thought to herself. Alieta looked to the side and saw a elf heading her way fast. Oh hi Penny, what is the rush, are you going swimming? asked Alieta. No but maybe later, said Penny. Too hot to where my dress. I agree, said Alieta, so what's up? Well I just saw the wierdest thing. I was walking to town when I saw what looked like a window or something. I could see through it but everything was blurry behind it. A squirl ran out in front of it and looked like it got sucked in then the window then vanished. I took off fast then figured I should tell you about it. Hmm, that does sound wierd, said Alieta. I will let Jazmen know about it when I see her. Thanks for letting me know. Okay, I think I will go in the palace and have some ice cream then go to Sandy Lake and hang out in the water, said Penny. Good idea, said Alieta. The palace gang will probably go there too when they all get up. Oh good, I hope Phonixa and Repellia come, said Penny. They are a lot of fun to play with in the water. Well they are probably in the dining room now, said Alieta. Just tell them it is another hot day and invite them to go with you. Okay I will, thanks Alieta. Then Penny headed for the palace. I wonder what Penny saw, Alieta thought to herself. Poor squirl, I hope it is okay.

  Alieta went to go back in the palace when she saw Ivy flying her way. Okay here she comes, I know what she is going the talk to me about, thought Alieta. Ivy landed in front of Alieta. Hi Alieta, isn't it a beautiful day, said Ivy. The sun is shining, all the trees and plants are happy. It is too hot, said Alieta. A bit cooler and yes it would be a wonderful day. It's not that hot just do what I have been doing and fly around. Flying keeps you cool, said Ivy. Yes I suppose it does but it is cool in the palace, that is where I am staying for a while, said Alieta. Oh, well before you do that, can I ask a favor from you? asked Ivy. Sure what is it Ivy. Well I talked to Gabriel last night and she said it was okay and it was very imptortant to Fae Land that I go for some reason. Go where? asked Alieta. Granada of coarse, said Ivy. Gabriel said if it was okay with you then she will take me. So you really want to go to this strange place? asked Alieta. Yep, don't you? asked Ivy. No I like it here, said Alieta. Ya I do too but it would be nice to visit somewhere different, said Ivy. Please can I go. I will be good and Sapphire will be there to take care of me. Okay Ivy but please stay out of trouble. There are only humans there and they may not understand our type with wings and pointed ears, said Alieta. I won't get in trouble, I am a grown woman now, no longer a kid anymore, said Ivy. Yes I know, said Alieta. Just tell me what it is like there when you get back, I'm told Granada is much more advanced than us when it comes to science. I will, Gabriel told me to take notes, said Ivy. Gabriel, Alieta said okay, come and get me, yelled Ivy. Don't you want to pack some things first? asked Alieta. Nope all I need is me, Sapphire can make me anything I might need, said Ivy.

  In a few moments Gabriel appeared. Hello Ivy and Alieta. Beautiful day isn't it, said Gabriel. See Gabriel agrees with me, said Ivy. Alieta says it is too hot. Well hot is much better than cold, said Gabriel. So you all set to go to Granada? Yep sure am, said Ivy. Now Alieta, she won't be gone long. Should be back in a day or two, said Gabriel. So don't worry, she is in good hands. I will be back for Jazmen later so she can get Mika ready. Who is Mika? asked Ivy. Just a very pretty young elf we need to bring back here.You will like her, said Gabriel. Everyone likes Mika. Okay off we go to Granada then they both vanished. Well there she goes, my Ivy to a land in a different reality. No dought she is going to have fun there. I just hope she doesn't like it there more than in Fae Land, thought Alieta.

  Ginger and Lilly got up early and headed back to the bank. When they got there the door was still locked. Maybe we are too early, said Lilly. What time is it? Not sure, I didn't check before we left the hotel. Lilly looked in the window. Hey there is someone in there. Knock and see if she will let us in. Ginger knocked on the glass door and the lady came to the door and said they were not opened yet. Then she saw Lilly's wings and unlocked the door and let them in then locked the door behind them. My my an elf and a fairy, said the woman. You two must be from Fae Land. Yep, this is Lilly and I am Ginger. Alieta wants us to see what a bank looks like and talk to some one to find out how it works. Alieta, the queen of Fae Land? asked the woman. Yep, she wants to start making some banks in Fae Land because our treasury room is too full, said Ginger. Well must be nice to be such a wealthy country, said the lady. Well my name is Janet and I am the bank manager. So what do you want to know? I am well versed in all the banking functions. Well Lilly needs to look around and see what everything looks like. She is the best at making inside furiture and decorating, said Ginger. I need to know how a bank works so I can teach people and hire them to work in it. Well if you want I would love to move to Fae Land and run it for you. I can teach the girls how to take deposits and give out withdrawls. You would do that for us? That might be better then, said Ginger. Yes you bet I would, I visited Fae Land once for a few days when I heard there was a Fantasy Pixie Forest there that was opened to the public. That was the most amazing and fun vacation I ever had. All I have to do is sell my house here then I can move. Do you have any houses for sale. No we build them when someone needs one. I have two being built right now, said Ginger. Okay so you Lilly have a look around and I will tell Ginger the basics of banking, said Janet. Okay, what is behind that big metal door? asked Lilly. That is the bank vault. We keep all the money and gold in there. We have gold coins and gold bars to make more coins with but mostly we have gems, said Ginger. Gems, like diamonds? asked Janet. Yep and rubies and emeralds too. Over time people would trade them with us for stuff, said Ginger. Well a very very wealthy country then, said Janet. Follow me and I will show you everything and tell you how things work. They followed Janet around the bank and found out a lot about how a bank works.

  After about an hour Janet unlocked the banks door. Now stick around a bit and you will see what people do when they come to the bank, said Janet. There are a couple of chairs over there. The two of them sat and watched as people came in to do their banking. When people noticed them they would come over and chat a bit. Lilly was having fun making ice cream cones for everyone. After a bit Ginger and Lilly said goodbye and headed back to Fae Land. It was getting close to supper time so they stopped and had a picnic on the way. Lilly made them burgers and fries. By the time they got back to the palace, it was starting to get dark so Lilly flew back to the forest and Ginger went in the palce and found Alieta sitting in her den. Hi Alieta I'm back, said Ginger. Oh good, so how did it go? asked Alieta. Very nicely, said Ginger. Janet is a bank manager and explained to me how to operate a bank. Lilly was able to walk around see what needs to be done on the inside. Janet said she will move to Fae Land and run the first bank for us and teach our girls how to work in a bank. Janet was very nice to us. Ginger sat down on the carpet. So how did things go today? asked Ginger. Well Ivy is in Granada now, said Alieta. She was very excited to be going there. So do you think she is going to be okay? asked Ginger. I don't know but prpbably, said Alieta. Gabriel assured me she would be just fine and probably back tomorrow or the following day. Good, said Ginger. I am going to have a bath then go to bed. That was a busy day for me. I think I will do the same, said Alieta. When Jazmen gets back I have to tell her about some strange window that opened up. Penny saw it and said it sucked a squirl in it then vanaished. Really, I wonder what it was, said Ginger. I don't know but tomorrow is another day. I will worry about it then, said Alieta.

  In the morning Alieta and Ginger met in the dining room. After having breakfast they both went outside to check the sun dial. Another hot day, said Alieta. What's that four in a row now? Yep, looks like we are having a heat wave, said Ginger. I have a lot to do today, I need to check and see how those two new houses are doing then I need to talk to the foreman and see if he knows anything about buliding a bank. After that it will be back in my bikini and in the water at Sandy Lake. Sounds good, said Alieta. I have to stay here though and see if Ivy is coming back today. That Mika girl may be coming today also. They both started to walk back towards the palace when Ginger spotted something odd. Hey look over by the maple tree, said Ginger. What is that? My that must be what Penny saw yesterday, said Alieta. Don't go near it, lets see if it will go away. Soon it started to fade away until it was gone. So what do you think it was? asked Ginger. Not sure but looked more like a doorway than a window, said Alieta. Maybe some kind of portal. What's a portal? asked Ginger. Haven't you read any science fiction books? asked Alieta. They are used to travel great distances through time and space. In the books they are usually man made but this one seems to have a mind of it's own unless there is some wizard creating it. Okay but what is making it show up out of nowhere? asked Ginger. Beats me it is very wierd for sure, said Alieta. Well I am taking the long way around to the construction site, said Ginger. I am not going anywhere near where it appeared. Good idea. I am going to call Gabriel and see if she knows anything about them.

  Alieta called for Gabriel and in a few moments she appeared. Yes Alieta, what can I do for you? asked Gabriel. Well do you know anything about portals? asked Alieta. Well yes, said Gabriel. I created one for Sapphire so she can travel back and forth from Granada and Fae Land. Why do you ask? Well yesterday Penny told me she saw what looked like a window while walking to town and it sucked a squirl into it then vanished and just a few minutes ago Ginger and I saw what looked like a lit doorway then faded way. Really, where did you see it? asked Gabriel. By the maple tree over there, said Alieta. Well that is very odd, said Gabriel. There are some natural forming portals but not around here and they are very unstable but never move around. Do you think a wizard may be creating it? asked Alieta. Well why create a portal and not walk through it, said Gabriel. Besides that would take some very powerful magic and only Merlin would be able to do that but why create a portal here when he can just teleport the Fae Land. Ya, it doesn't make sense to me either, said Alieta. This might be happening because I created that portal for Sapphire, said Gabriel. Just don't go near it if you see another one, said Gabriel. You never know where you may end up or if is safe but more than likely it will take someone anywhere in Granada if it is stable. Unstable portals will rip a person apart. Oh I don't plan on getting near one, said Alieta. Okay now later today, some time after supper, I will be bringing Ivy and Mika here along with Jasmen but I still need her in Granada so she can help Layla pack. So how did Ivy do? asked Alieta. Is she same girl we all love that left here. Gabriel smiled. Oh there is no changing Ivy, said Gabriel. She is exactly the same and is having lots of fun. She did exactly what we thought she would do and will start the wheels turning here. You will see and stop worring about her so much. Ivy is a big girl and can take care of herself. She will probably have to go back again soon now that she has seen what she calls the future. Okay, I will just feel better when she is back home, said Alieta. Okay then, see you later on, then Gabriel vanished. So now I wait, thought Alieta. I wonder what Ivy did that was so important and why she needs to go back.

  The rest of the day went uneventful. There was no more reports of portals and after everyone finished supper Alieta asked everyone to stick around and meet the new girl Mika but first hold back until she gets used to her new surroundings. Alieta sent a messenger out to get Alexa to come to the palace and meet Mika. In about an hour Gabriel showed up with the three girls, Ivy, Jazmen and Mika then she vanished. Hi Alieta, I am back, said Ivy with a smile. Good, everyone missed you Ivy, especially your sister. Your first task here will be going to see her and giving her a big hug. Okay I will do that, said Ivy. So what's with the books? asked Alieta. This will be something new for Fae Land and very good too. Gabriel said I could bring them from Granada. Okay so what is it? asked Alieta. Well it is a new way of making energy from the sun. It is called electricity and not as bad and powerful as lightning. Wow, you have been busy then, said Alieta. Yep very busy and now I need Alexa to help me. Some of the stuff in these books I don't understand, said Ivy. Okay good because Alexa will be here very soon. She will want to welcome Mika too, said Alieta. Okay good, said Ivy. I am sure Alexa will be able to figure this science stuff out. Okay but first off you go to see Sara. She has been driving me crazy asking about you, said Alieta. Didn't you tell her you were leaving. Oops I didn't, said Ivy. It was a spur of the moment thing but she knew I wanted to go to Granada. Well get going you nut and it is really nice to have you back with us, said Alieta. Ivy took off home. So Jazmen how is Sapphire, doing. Did you make a report? asked Alieta. No report needed, said Jazmen. She is doing what she does best. That is one powerful fairy yet she won't go outside much unless she is invisible. She is always saying she doesn't want to get in trouble with Gabriel. She thought she was in trouble when she first saw me there. Alieta laughed. Well I guess it is her natural way of being as a powerful fairy nymph, said Alieta. So are you going back to Granada? No we got everything packed up fast thanks to Sapphire, said Jazmen. Layla said there was just a few more tings she needed to take care of for the two of them first. Now you best go see Jessica. She was asking about you also, said Alieta. Okay, I hope she has a new batch of candies ready, said Jazmen and off she flew. So Mika, that leaves just you and me for now then you can meet some of the others here, said Alieta. First let me say, welcome to Fae Land.

  I have some important things to take care of in the palace so lets sit on the grass and talk for a few minutes before I have to leave, said Alieta. Okay, said Mika. First I need to tell you some of the rules of Fae Land. There are not many but some differ from what you may be used to. First of all no one is allowed to walk around without a top on even though lots of the elves here want to during this heat wave we are having. Some of the girls sin bathe nude at Sandy Lake and sometimes skinny dip. That is fine, just use your own discretion if there are children close by. Okay that makes sense, said Mika. Now the people of Fae Land dress very sexy, especially the palace gang so sexy clothing is fine so long as the private areas are covered. That is it for the main rules that you need to know. Ginger will fill you in with the minor ones. There are no laws in Fae Land like I heard about from Gabriel because there is no stealing of violence going on here. Everything at the stores are very affordable to every one and if someone is having a hard time they can just let me know and I will fix things for them. So do you have any questions? Not really, it is so green and beautiful here and the air is so clean and fresh, I do love your outfit, said Mika. Very sexy and looks good on you too. Alieta smiled. Thanks dear but wait until you see Zan and the two she devils. Now first I see your ears are begining to show through your hair. It is a good thing Gabriel decided to get you here now. Mika touched one of her ears with her hand. Oh my they are way bigger now, they were smaller just an hour ago. Yep, that is the magic of this land, said Alieta. Your ears will probably be fully formed by the end of the day and soon after your entire body will become Fae as it should be. You are a high breed elf like your mother was. So what does high breed make me? asked Mika. Well that is yet to be seen, said Alieta. Your mother was connected with nature plus could sense good and bad in people. You will probably have more talents seeing your father was a powerful wizard. Tomorrow you will meet Merlin. He will know what is growing in you. Cool, I have only read and seen movies with Merlin in them, said Mika. Well I don't know what a movie is but I suspect it is like a play, said Alieta. Okay that is all the time I have for you now. Come follow me to the palace steps and I will send Ginger out. She will be in charge of getting you settled here. Oh I like what you write about Ginger. Very cute and friendly, said Mika. She was in your books a lot though there were no pictures so I had to just imagine what everyone looked like. So do I look like you imagined. Oh way better and a bit taller, said Mika with a smile. Well Ginger is very cute and my best friend, said Alieta. Okay lets go, ask Ginger anything you want. She has been around for a long time and is extreemly smart. The two of them got up and Alieta left Mika on the palace steps.

Chapter 2

The Two Sisters Arrive

  In a few minutes Ginger came out of the palace and sat on the steps beside Mika. Hi Mika, nice to meet, said Ginger. I had to go to my room and change out of my bikini. It was very hot today and spent most of the day in Sandy Lake. So today I am going to just fill you in about what you should expect here in Fae Land. You have barely met anyone here yet so I will start with the palace gang that will come over one by one except for Phonixa and Repellia. They usally hang out together seeing they are very pretty human twin sisters and live in the palace. They are very girly girly like. Zan usually hangs out with Tara and Avan and there is the newcomer Rose that is the daughter of Quazar plus Miyo another human girl that sings beautifully. The books I read didn't mention any of those people except Zan and the twins, said Mika. well it was designed to introduce you to Fae Land and just some of the main people here, said Ginger. From what Alieta told me just a few books were left for you to read. Plus the latest people to come here haven't been written yet. Well I read about Phonixa and Repellia, they are supposed to be very pretty. So tell me about Quazar and Rose first, said Mika. Well Quazar is the king of the overlords and is in charge of keeping the universe in order. He is a big guy with wings and looks a bit like a handsome demon. He hooked up with a pretty human girl once and she gave birth to Rose that is what we call a Demi God. She is very powerful from what Quantum told us but Rose is all good so she won't hurt anyone here. So does she look like a demon also? asked Mika. Not at all, said Ginger. She is quite attractive and she is only twenty years old. The two sisters imediately befriended her and said she looked like a goth girl what ever that is. Oh that is a girl that dresses in black and dies her hair black plus wears black makeup on her face, said Mika. Well that is Rose alright, said Gnger. Just then Phonixa and Repellia came over. Wow Phonixa, look at her, she is really cute!

  Oh good, can the two of you keep Mika company while I go inside and check on the kitchen staff please? asked Ginger. Yep, no problem, said Phonixa. We want to talk to her anyways. Ginger got up and went back into the palace. So Mika, I am Phonixa and this is my sister Repellia. Stand up so we can have a good look at you please. Mika stood up for them. Wow, she is really cute, said Repellia. Cute, she is gorgeous, said Phonixa. Prettiest elf I have ever seen except for Ginger of coarse. Mika smiled. Well you two are very beautiful too and you are right Ginger is very sexy looking, said Mika. So you have had sex before? asked Phonixa. Us two are still virgins. We tried with our boyfriends once when we went camping but their parents put an end to that fast. Oh I don't have sex yet. Don't want to get pregnant, said Mika. It is nice to go on dates though. Ya we like to go dancing with them and having them pay for dinner. They are really nice to us, said Phonixa. So what is Granada like? No one here would tell us anything about it. It is like the place is a big secret, said Repellia. Okay, well Granada is a country with very few rules. There is no violence there are mostly girls there, said Mika. We have a few nude beaches but most of us like to wear sexy bikinis. The best part about Granada is there are tons of stores and shopping malls. Anything you can possibly want can be found there though some stuff is very expensive. Really, we love to go shopping, said Repellia. Of coarse all girl love shopping, said Mika. People like to go to the malls juat to hang out most of the tome and meet people, at least us younger girls do. Wow, no wonder no one told us about this country. We would of wanted to go with Ivy also, said Phonixa. Actually you have it way better here in my opinion, said Mika. No tall skyscrapers blocking out the sun and you have to watch were you walk or you may get hit by a car plus everything is expensive, at heast the good stuff is. Alieta told me that things are very affordable here. Ya food and clothes are cheep here and if you take Ginger with you shopping she gets the best deals and discounts. Really, I will keep that in mind, said Mika.

  Okay, you are definately going to belong to our group with Rose and Miyo, said Repellia. When you get your own place we will come and visit, said Repellia. Oh here comes Tara and Avan. Have you seen them yet? asked Phonixa. No but I heard they dress sexy. Sexy, they may as well be wearing nothing and they are super pretty once you get used to their wings and tail. You stay here and we will go get Rose and Miyo. They both headed into the palace as Phonixa waved at the two she devils as they passed over them. Mika looked up and saw they were headed straight for her. Tara and Avan landed very close to her which frightened Mika. Well hello Mika. You don't have to be scared of us, said Tara. What do you think Avan, does she look like anything Gabriel told us? Well she is very pretty, said Avan. Very pretty for an elf. Ya But I am still prettier, said Tara. What do you mean, we are twins, said Avan. Ya but I have nicer hair. No you don't, what do you think Mika? asked Avan. Umm you both are very pretty for what ever you are, said Mika. Bith Avan and Tara smiled at Mika. So I take it no one has told you about us yet, said Tara. Nope I only had three books to read back home. Well we are she devils but not the bad kind, said Avan. God created us to kill all the evil devils and demons. Only us tow can kill them which makes us the most powerful beings on the planet. Pretty cool don't you think. Yes very cool so you don't hurt people like me? asked Mika. Nope, it os not allowed but why would we want to hurt a pretty girl like you, said Tara. Will you stip hitting on Mika, she just got here, said Avan. I am not hotting on her, maybe just flirting some but I flrt with everyone, said Tara. Mike smiled. You two are funny and definately act like sisters, said Mika. Ya we hear that a lot from people, said Avan. So how did you like Phonixa and Repellia? They were very nice and very easy on the eyes, said Mika. They went on the palace to get Rose and Myka. Ya they are very new here like you, said Tara. Myka can sing and dance like pixie Ginger and Rose is cute also but has very powerful magic in her because her father is an overlord. Well my stepsister will be here soon but she is like a real sister to me, said Mika. Yep your Layla will be here tomorrow morning. Sapphire will bring her here, said Avan. Is she pretty like you? I guess so, she is older than me some and has nice long blonde hair, said Mika. Sounds nice then, we will look forward to meeting her also, said Avan. Anyways we need to stretch our wings some, so nice talking to you said Tara then they flew off. Wow it is going to take some time getting used to this place but should be a lot of fun, thought Mika.

  Mika saw Ginger walking over with a horse so she waved at her. Hello again, said Ginger. So you have met the two sisters and I saw you with Avan and Tara. I hope they didn't scare you too much. No not really. They just landed real close to me, that's all. Ya they like to make an entrance, said Ginger. They are very nice though as I figure you found out. Yep and funny, are they really that powerful? asked Mika. Yep they sure are, nothing more powerful anywhere said Ginger. Now do you know how to ride a horse. Nope, never been on one, said Mika. Well you will have to learn. I will teach you tomorrow. You will be staying at Jazmen's and Jessica's place until we get the home for you and your sister ready. Just rhen Myka and Rose came out. Hi Ginger, Phonixa told us to come out and meet Mika, they said she was really nice, said Myko. Yes she is so hurry up and say your hellos because we have to get over to Jessica's place where she will be staying for a bit, said Ginger. Oh that is okay then, we can always talk later, said Miyo. Is she staying in Fae Land. Yes I am along with my sister, said Mika. Awesome, always good to have more friends, said Miyo. Okay now jump up on the horse and I will take you to Jessica's place, said Ginger. But there is no saddle, said Mika. Oh we don't burden the horses with heavy saddles, said Ginger. We all ride bare back. It is fun and it feels good. You will see. Ginger boosted Mika up on the horse and then she jumped on and started to ride off but Mika almost fell off. Hang on tight Mika, I see your are going need a few lessons, said Ginger then rode off to Jessica's place.

  When they got to Jessica and Jazmen's house. Ginger jumped off the horse then helped Mika down. Wow, this is a big place, said Mika. Yep, Jessica makes a very good living selling her candies and Jazmen makes a good wage also as the General of Fae Land's army, said Ginger. Ginger knocked on the door and Jessica let them in. Okay Jessica here is Mika and she will be staying with you two until their place is ready, said Ginger. Ya okay, Jazmen filled me in. I have her bedroom all set up for her, said Jessica. Good, so I have to get back to the palace so get aquainted and show her around, said Ginger and she left. Well hello Mika, nice to meet you, said Jessica. Nice to meet you too, said Mika. It smells so nice in here. Ya that is me making some candies all the time, said Jessica. Most of them are made in my candy factor but I still like to make some here just for fun and to keep them on hand all the time. Would you like to try a few? Ya, sure would, said Mika. Jessica grabbed a box and handed it to Mika. Mika opened it and took a few out then gave her back the box. Go ahead try one, said Jessica. Just suck on them slowly. Mika smiled then put one in her mouth. Wow these are fantastic, said Mika. Kind of sweet and sour plus fruity flavored. Yep everyone loves them, said Jessica.   So lets go upstairs and I will show you the room you will be sleeping in, said Jessica. It is nothing fancy seeing it is just a guest room but it will do you for a few days and it has a double bed in it so your sister can stay in there with you when she comes tomorrow. Okay, that will be fine, said Mika. They headed up the stairs to the spare bedroom. Okay here it is, said Jessica. Like I said, nothing fancy. Looks fine to me, said Mika. The bed is about the same size as mine back home. Between Layla and myself we have a ton of clothes. After our parents died they left us a million dollars each plus the house so we really didn't need much except clothes is something a girl can always buy and use. Shoes too but we are not bringing all of them, said Mika. Just sandals and a pair of sneakers will do here. Ya most everyone here goes barefoot except for the humans, though the women are barefoot more often now, said Jessica. Well we can live out of our suit cases for now, said Mika. No use unpacking them then repacking them again in a few days. Good, so can we sit and talk a bit. I'd like to know more about you. Jazmen was very short at telling me about you two.   First thing in the morning, Layla and Sapphire showed up on the palace grounds with several suit cases. Ginger walked over to greet them. Good morning you two, said Ginger. So you are Mika's sister. Very nice to meet you and welcome to Fae Land. My name is Ginger and I will be filling you in with the do's and dont's here. I kinda did that already while we were packing all these suit cases, said Sapphire.That's a lot of stuff you have there, said Ginger. Ya it is mostly clothes, said Layla. Mika said that everyone here usually walks around barefoot so most of the shoes we left behind. Okay that is true, said Ginger. Now just for a recap then. The two main rules are no going topless but nude sun bathing and skinny dipping at the lakes and beaches are allowed but just watch for children. Best you go to Sandy Lake were no young ones go. Ya Sapphire told me already and that is fine with me, said Layla. Now you will be staying at Jazmen and Jessica's place until your home is ready, said Ginger. I'll have a few elves bring these suit cases there for you. Ya I told Layla that there are lots of stores here where she could buy new ones seeing the two of them have lots of money, said Sapphire. That is something I have to figure out yet. What does two million dollars look like in gold or gems? They all use paper money over there. Wow, that sounds like a lot, said Ginger. The palace accountant will have to figure it out. Okay let me know because one of these suit cases is full with paper money that Layla took out of her bank and I can change it into what ever you want, said Sapphire.   Sapphire and Layla reappeared in Jessica's kitchen where the two of them were still in their nighties. Wow you are one sexy sprite, said Sapphire. Down girl, said Jessica. We just got up and haven't got changed yet. So all those suit cases will be here soon, elves are brining them but I have to get back to Granada and make breakfast for Leila or she may make it for me, anyways one of us will make breakfast, said Sapphire, then she vanished. Does she always act a bit nutty like that? asked Jessica. Well while I was packing yesterday she kept making me laugh but I have only known her for a very short time, said Layla. Typical fairy then, said Jessica. Hi Layla, how do you like my ears? asked Mika. Wow they grew fast, said Layla. They actually look really good on you just like that nightie. Ya Jessica lent it to me, said Mika. she is really nice and makes candy that tasts amazing. Well I was just about to make some breakfast, said Jessica. Would you like some? No I ate already back home, said Layla. Needed to eat the eggs before they went bad. So where are our suit cases? asked Mika. They are coming, said Layla. Some elves are bringing them, all eight of them. I closed our joint account and all the bills are in hundreds so they completely filled one suit case. Sapphire said she could convert it all to gold and gems once the palace treasure figures out what two million dollars looks like that way. Why don't you all use paper money here? Why would we use paper money when we have real gold coins, said Jessica. Paper miney sounds like it would be easy to lose especially if it is windy. No wind is going to blow away a purse of gold coins. Okay, I can't argue with that logic, said Layla.

  Jessica made breakfast for Mika and herself while Layla sat with them chatting some. After they finoshed eating the elves showed up with the suit cases and Jessica instructed them to put them in the kitchen and take a box of candy with them for briinging the luggage. Mika jumped up and started checking all the suit cases, looking inside each one. What are you looking for? asked Layla. We packed all your clothes. Good but that is not what I am looking for, said Mika. Found it and she pulled it out. What is that? asked Jessica. It is my cell phone, said Mika. That won't be anygood here, said Layla. I know not right now but it has all my contacts in it and pictures and when Ivy figures out those books about electricity she brought with her I will be able to keep it charged, said Mika. What is a cell phone, asked Jessica. It is a device that we use to talk to our friends over long disitances and it takes pictures too, said Layla. Mika ran over to Jessica then turned it on and showed some pictures on it. I charged it fully just before I left and it stoll has eight percent battery power. Mika scrolled through some of the picture she took of her friends that amazed Jessica and was especial interested in the backgrounds with all the big buildings and cars parked on the side of the road. This is what Granada looks like? asked Jessica. Yep some of it, that is just the downtown area in the main city, said Mika.

Chapter 3

Meeting Palace Gang

  Mika put the cell phone back in the suit case. How would you two like to check out my hot tub? asked Jessica. You have a hot tub here? asked Mika, that is awesome. Now we have to look and find what suit case has our swimming suits in. You don't need them, I have a bunch of extras, said Jessica. So lets go up to my room where you can pick out a bikini then go relax in the tub for a while. Heels like it is hot outside so we probably won't need to heat up the water. They all went on the bikinis then went outside and got in the tub. This is a very big hot tub, said Layla. Ya I wanted it big because I have friends that come over so I needed the room, said Jessica. So lets sit and enjoy! They all sat down in the tub and started talking. This is really nice, said Layla. Just the right temperature. Ya I don't like it too hot, said Jessica. The sun is keeping it at the right temperature for me today except at night then we have to light the wood. So you have to have a fire going underneather to heat it at night? asked Mika. Ya, how else can the water heat up, said Jessica. Oh I forgot, you don't have electricity here yet, said Mika. So what is that? asked Jessica I heard you mention it when you were talking about Ivy and your cell phine. Something that will make life easier, said Mika. It is a type of energy that makes things work. Ivy is going to work on it with Alexa she told me. Well if Alexa is helping then for sure something will happen, said Jessica.There is someone coming, said Layla. Oh don't worry that is just one of Alieta's messengers. The messenger got up on the deck and said hi to Jessica. Sorry to bother you all but Alieta asked me to tell Mika and Layla to come to the palace when you are settled in, said the elf. Though it looks like you two are settling in nicely. Yes nothing better than having a soak in the hot tub first thing in the morning, said Jessica. Yes I see that. Wish I could join you but I am on duty right now, said the elf. The elf looked over at Mika. My you are a cutie. Prettiest elf I have ever seen, said the elf with a smile. Then the elf headed back towards the palace.

  They all got out of the tub and went inside to get dressed then headed out to the palace where Alieta was waiting for them. Okay, I see you all came, said Alieta. Yep, I thought I would come to the palace for lunch, said Jessica. Been a while since I had fairy food. Good idea, said Alieta. Now first I'd like to weclome Layla to Fae Land. Sorry I wasn't available earlier. Thankyou, said Layla. Now Ginger told me she already told some things about Fae Land so first we have to deal with your money. Now Ginger told me that you brought a suit case of money totalling two million dollars but it is all paper money. She also said that Sapphire will change it into gold coins and gems but needs to know what that looked like before she could use her magic and convert it. Now that is a good thing because paper money has no value here. Okay Sapphire told us all abiut what currency was used here but banks in Granda don't give out gems and gold, only mints are allowed to use gold but even coins are not made of pure gold. Gold in the mint backs the paper money meaning the more gold Granada has in the mint the more paper money and coins can be made and sent to the banks. Okay Ginger has someone coming to Fae Land to teach her how all that works in the new bank we are building but we have to wait for Sapphire to come back to Fae Land to meet with my teasurer then make the gems and gold coins for you two. So we are going to have diamonds and gold at home now? asked Layla. Well that is not how we do things with people that have lots of money other than Yeanny, but she is a wizard and has a safe place to keep all her gems. Sha just comes to the palace when she needs to exchange gems into gold coins. You two however will be given a bag of gold coins each then the treesurer will set up an account for each of you where you can come and get more coins when needed but your gems and gold remain in the palace treasury for safe keeping. Also you can set up anccount with what every stores you deal with and once done you just have to sign the reciet and the store owner will submit it to the treasurer and she pays them and it is deducted form your acount. Now one million dollars each ia a very large amount of money in Fae Land. That will last you a very long time seeing everything here is quite cheap compared to human cities and towns else where on this continent. If you want to buy someting expensive like jewlery just tell Cindy the store owner you have an account with the crown and you will be good to go. All you have to do is sign for what every you are buying. Cool, said Mika. That is like having a bank card. I suppose so, said Alieta, what ever that is. So what we want to know is where are home is being built, asked Layla. Yes that is the next thing I am going to talk to you about, said Alieta.

  So your house will be ready in two days. The outer structure is done and is being worked on by a couple of carpenters and some other tradesmen, said Alieta. Once it is done Lilly will get with you two and do her magic making furiture, paint the walls and what ever else you need. She will read you so she will have a very good idea what you two will like. So we don't need to buy any furniture at all? asked Layla. Nope not at all. She loves decorating homes for people, said Alieta. Now it is just at the west end of Eden and east of the Pixie Forest. It's not ttha seclude seeing you can walk to Carmen and Zatsuky's place and a few of the other heros. That's a new area that I have been thinking of developing seeing that Fae Land is getting new people all the time. Also we are building Banshees home close to yours and she is a very nice and important girl also so you will have a fairly close neighbor. Okay, that sounds okay then, said Mika. How far does Ivy live from there. Oh not far at all. You could walk to her place in fifteen minutes or so. Five minutes to Carmen and Zatsuky then Ktara's place is next followed buy Ivy's family. Plus the centaur family is close by too. Now I have to baby sit today for Yeanny. She has business to attend to else where. Okay that is fine, said Mika I think we are done for now anyways. Alieta smiled. Well you are going to meet the most loved person in Fae Land. Her name is Sakura and is the cutest thing you will ever see. She is very energenic and funny. Just keep in mind she is only seven years old, actually almost eight now. She tends to talk very fast and a lot asking questions faster than you can answer so just tell her to slow down when you need to and she will do as you say but best enjoy here doing her thing first. Okay we can handle a eight year old girl, said Layla. Alieta laughed. We will see, said Alieta and she walked off. Wait for me, said Jessica. I am waiting for Tulip with you. What your not staying to help us meet Sakura? asked Mika. Nope, your on your own with her, said Jessica and she caught up with Alieta. This is going to be funny to watch, said Jessica to Alieta. So what do we do, just stand here, said Layla. I don't know. Maybe go to where Jessica is, said Mika. Just then a pink streak flew by them. It stopped fast then turned back and flew right at Mika and Layla. Hi, your new, I am Sakura. My Mom said two pretty new girls supposed to be here. Which one is Mika and which is Layla. No wait, let me guess. Your are the elf so you are Mika and that makes you the human Layla. Wow you are tall. I am small but bigger than my friends the fairy nymphs. Sakura was flying around them checking the two of them out as she talked. Do you like pink. I love pink. Pink everything except my shin. You are a very pretty elf Mika. Do you like to play, I love to play. I am going to be eight soon you know, did I tell you I like pink, I forget things somethimes but I am very smart at least that is what my Mom says.   I am sorry, I always get excited when I meet new people, said Sakura. Sakura was looking way up at the two of them so they got down for her. That's okay Sakura I like meeting new people also, said Mika. You are very cute, just like Alieta said. Yep cute and pink, that's me, said Sakura. You though are the prettiest elf I have ever seen. Pretty tall too. Just about as pretty as Ivy but she isn't an elf, she is a forest sprite and she is one of my best friends, said Sakura. Yes I have met Ivy. We are friends now also, said Mika. So I saw you can fly and quite fast too. Is there anything else you can do? Yep I am very fast, just as fast as a pixie, maybe faster. I can shrink very small and disappear. I think that is it. Oh I am a very good drawer, just ask Alexa plus she taught me how to count to one hundred. She is my teacher with som of my other best friends that are fairy nymphs that make pretty flowers. So are you here for lunch? Yes we are, said Layla. Good, Tulip is the best at making food of all the fairies. Okay I better go see Alieta. She is taking care of me while my Mom is away, she is a powerful wizard, said Sakura and she flew off. Well once again we are left out here alone, said Layla.   Just outside of the elf village there was two elves walking to town to do some shopping. It was still very hot out so they were wearing their bathing suits. So what are you going to buy Kandice? Probably just a new skirt, said Karman. I want to change my look some. I am tired of looking like all the other elves. Me too, said Kandice. I am going to look for those short shorts like the Repellia and Phonixa wears all the time and one of those sexy short t-shirts. Ya we are pretty and can dress sexy too, said Karman. Just then a new portal appeared in front of them. What the heck is that? asked Karman. Beats me but I think we better get out of here, said Kandice. Ya I'm with you, said Karman and they both ran away from the portal. In a minute they looked back to make sure it wasn't following them. Good it is gone, said Kandice. We better go to the palace and tell someone about it. Really, we have never gone there before, said Karman. Well we can't just wait to see Ginger in the village, said Kandice. But what if the queen is out there doing stuff, she might get mad at us, said Karman. Don't be silly, Ginger said she is really nice and anyone is allowed to go to the palace groundss, said Kandice.   Okay here we are and there is a bunch of people here, said Karman. So do you see Ginger anywhere. No but there is Jessica in front of the palace with someone, said Kandice. Well we hope you don't think we are crazy but we saw the weirdest thing not long ago while we were going to town to buy some sexy clothes like Phonixa and Repellia, said Kandice. Ya we want to look sexy like like them, said Karman. Okay, yes they are very pretty and can dress sexy, said Alieta. What was it you saw? Well we are not sure but it was round and floated about a foot off the ground, said Kandice. Yep and it had rings that spun and glowed different colours, said Karman. It scared us but when we looked behind us it faded away. Do you believe us or do you think we are nuts. Lots of our friends think we are nutty and laugh at us all the time, said Kandice. Alieta giggled. No I don't think you are nuts, a bit nutty but that is a good thing, said Alieta. And yes I saw a portal also while standing out here with Ginger and Penny saw one earlier, said Alieta. I already talked to Gabriel and she is looking into it and says to stay away from them incase they are unstable portals. So it was a portal, to where? asked Karman. That we don't know yet, said Alieta. Oh okay, can we stay here for a while? It feels safe here with all these people around, said Kandice. Yes you certainly can, said Alieta. How come I have never seen you two before. Your very enjoyable to listen too. A lot like Sakura over there. Well we don't want to get in the way and bother the palace people, said Karman.   So what did Kandice and Karman want? asked Jessica. You know them? I have never seen them before but man they were delightful to listen too, said Alieta. Ya they come in the candy factory store from time to time, said Jessica. All the elves know them, they are very cute and go everywhere together. I think they live together too. Did you notice they talk back and forth and even finish each other's sentence sometime? They are nutty like a pixie and can be very funny just like our Sakura here. Yes I did notice they took turns talking and couldn't help from giggling even though they were very serious and I think scared. Really why? asked Jessica. They saw a portal open and close just like Ginger and I saw earlier, said Alieta. I told Gabriel about it so she is looking into them. If this keeps up people here are not going to feel safe anymore. They asked if they could stay here where there was lots of people. I said yes of coarse and to come back any time. Ya those two would mix in with the palace gang perfectly, said Jessica. It's always a joy when the come to my factory. They walk tin and past the store section and walk up to who is ever working in the warehouse and ask to buy candies. The first time the came to the factory I was in the ware house and handed me a fair size chunk of pure gold for two boxes. I figured that chunk was worth at least twenty boxes so I told them they could have free candies for the reast of the year. Sakura pulled on Alieta's arm. Can I go talk to them now? asked Sakura. I promise to be good. Yes they want to meet you, said Alieta. They have just heard about you. Now no talking fast and maybe let them talk to you. I am very sure you will like them. Okay, said Sakura then flew over to them. Hello, I am Sakura. Alieta said I can talk to you two now. I mean listen to you two. Hello Sakura, this is my very best friend Kandice, said Karman. Good, said Alieta so now they are with Repellia and Phonixa talking. Yep they want to dress sexy like them and like shopping to so they will be good together, said Sakura.   Okay everyone ready to eat? asked Tulip. We are just waiting on Ivy and Alexa, said Alieta. Oh, she is on her way, said Tulip. She showed me some science books but I couldn't figure them out. That is why Alexa is coming, said Alieta. Okay maybe she will understand them then, said Tulip. Pretty advanced stuff in those books. Soon Ivy showed up still carring her books and Alexa showed shortly after and sat on the palace steps together. Okay Mika and Layla go stand beside Tulip and watch her do lunch for us, said Alieta You two get to go first seeing you are new here. Okay this will be easy seeing there is not that many people here, said Tulip. Tulip made her wand appear then made the table first. Okay hope you two like pizza and beef stew, said Tulip. Yep pizza is perfect, said Mika. Tulip then made a nice big extra large pizza and two big bowls of beef stew and a bunch of other things to add some variety plus some sugar cookies. There we go, said Tulip. Dig in and enjoy. That was awesome Tulip, thanks so much, said Mika. Yes I would have never believed it but seeing is believing, said Layla.   After everyone ate and Tulip made the table disappear then she headed back to the cove. Layla went to talk to Alieta some more about Fae Land seeing she hasn't seen much of it yet. Ivy and Alexa walked over to Mika. Hello Mika, nice to see you. My your a pretty elf, said Alexa. I think she is prettier than me, said Ivy. Well that is hard to do so lets just call it a tie, said Alexa. Now I have some questions about these two books. Seeing that you come from a place that already has electricity and lights, I was hoping you could tell me how it all works. Well I will try, said Mika. Okay this book is on how to make solar cells and the other one is how to make a light bulb and a socket for it, said Alexa. Now I am still reading up on them but lets say I we get both made. How does the electricity get to the light bulb? Oh that is easy, said Mika. You need a lamp that has the socket in it. You screw the bulb into the socket then two wires are connected to the socket, one negative and one positive that run to a plugin on the wall which is conected to the solar cells. There is a switch that is on the lamp that turns the bulb off and on. Okay I think I am following you there. Now it says that the bulb needs to have Argon gas in it so the tungsten filement so the light bulb lasts longer. Now I know what tungsten is but I never heard of Argon gas before and how how do you get it to stay inside the bulb? asked Alexa. Well argon gas is in the air everywhere just like oxegen and hellium but I don't know how they separate it or how they get in the bulb but I know the glass bulb has to be sealed air tight ir it won't work properly, said Mika. I bet Merlin kniws how it is done, he knows all about science, said Ivy. Really, Merlin the wizard, my Mom used to talk about him some when she was alive, said Mika. She said that he taught my Dad Zotac all about the magic og science and could do the most amazing things. Yes Merlin will definately be needed but first we are going to need more help making this lamp, said Alexa. We have architects that can look at the drawings and hopefully come up with something. Well that will be the easy, said Mika. You make the lamp base out of the same stuff you make bowls, vases and cups with. I can help when you need to know more first you need the solar panels though. Without them the rest is useless and I want this to work so I can keep my cell phone recharged. Okay, thanks Mika, I have some more reading to do on these solar panels but I think I can figure them out easy enough, just need to get some clean sand from the beach to make silicon.   Jessica and Layla walked over to Mika. So how are they doing with the electricity thing? asked Jessica. They seem to be making headway, said Mika. That Alexa seems to be very smart and said she already has a good idea how to make solar pannels. Yes Alexa is very smart, said Jessica. So why did Ivy go in the palace then came out with a big bucket? Something about making silicin from sand at Sandy Lake, said Mika. Well that sounds odd but I am sure she knows what she is doing, said Jessica. So are we all done here now so we can go back to my place? Sure might as well unless you know of somewhere else we can see, said Layla. Yes there is, said Jessica. Let's go to my candy factory, said Jessica. Layla hasn't tasted them yet plus there are a bunch of people working there that would love to meet both of you. Okay that sounds great, said Mika. You have to taste these candies Layla, they are amazing. Sure I like candies, said Layla. Good lets go then, said Jessica. It is on our way to my place anyways. They all waved goodbye to everyone then started walking to the factory. Well there they go, said Alieta. Two new young girls that seemed to adjusted quickly to being here. We Fae Land is easy to like, said Ginger but the electricity sounds like a good thing but call me old school, I still think magic is way better. I agree but Gabriel said that God has a plan, said Alieta. Well it must be a good plan then, said Ginger, he doesn't make bad plans at least not around here. Hey her comes Phonixa on her horse. I thought she went shopping.

Chapter 4

Welcome Home

  Phonixa jumped off her horse while holding something and walked over tho Ginger and Alieta. Hello, I am back and I have this big bar of what looks like real gold, said Phonixa. Ginger looked at the bar with shock. Where did you get that? asked Ginger. It's Kandice and Karman's, said Phonixa. They were going to just cut off some slices but I told them they needed coins to go shopping with and I showed them mine. They didn't have any so I figured I could bring it to you and the treasurer could convert it to coins for them. Do you no how many coins it would take to convert that big bar? asked Ginger. Nope not really but a lot I am guessing. Where did they get it? asked Ginger. Well it can be hard to understand them sometimes the way they talk fast and back and forth but what I understand, their mother gave it to them, said Phonixa. She got killed a few years ago by some creature attack. They have a whole bunch of them in different sizes. I wanted to bring a smaller one but they said take the big one. They don't like the big ones because they are too heavy. Alieta started to giggle. They are sounding more and more like pixies as time goes on. Ya they do talk like pixies, said Phonixa. This bar came from a mint, said Ginger. There arn't any of them around here. It says "Melborn Mint. 6.25lb, 99.9%" on it plus a serial number. Ya it is kinda heavy, can you take it from me. Your an elf and way stronger than me. Um sure but do you know where Melborn is Alieta? Nope, never heard of it, said Alieta. Oh they said they were from the west not far from the ocean. It took them two months to get here by horse and wagon, said Phonixa. Do you think it is stolen Alieta. Most people don't have gold mint bars. Could be but I didn't know there were any fae that far west. Oh Kandra said elves were used to mine the gold and melt the gold into bars. It sounded wierd to me, said Phonixa. Take it and have our accountant put a value on it but for the mean time give them five hunder for it, said Alieta. They can come back later to get the rest but I need to talk to them first. Ya I figured that, they have a while bunch of them, said Phonixa. They are definately paying for dinner with that much money! Alieta giggled again. See Ginger a very unusual day we are having today.

  For the next couple days life in Fae Land seemed to be back to normal. Mika and Layla's new home was finished and Banshee's house was near completion. Mika and Layla packed up there things and got ready to go to their new home. Ginger went and got them and also brought two horses for them to keep, complements of Alieta. Okay you two, ready to go to the new home? Yes we have everything packed back up in the suit cases, said Layla. Well just leave them here and they will get delivered to you later today, said Ginger. There is a lot that still has to be done seeing there is no furniture yet. Lilly will be there soon and she will take care of that for you. She is amazing at making furniture and decorating. So have you two learned how to ride a horse yet. I already know how to ride, said Layla. Mika here has never learned though. Jessica has no horses for her to practice on. Oh ya, I never thought of that, she has wings. I should of sent one over for her, said Ginger. Well we have to ride today because it is too far to walk. Have you rode bare back before? Yep, it is the best way, said Layla. Okay lets go outside and get Mika on a horse then set out, said Ginger. Now just hang on to the horse Mika, it will follow the other horses. They all went out and got Mika on a horse after a few attemps, then set out. In about twenty minutes they got to the house. Now it normally only takes fifteen minutes top to get here from the elf village but I rode slow for Mika, said Ginger. They all got off the horses but Mika fell off of her's. I'm okay, said Mika. Just slipped. Layla smiled and shook her head. I better teach her fast before she ends up breaking an arm or leg. Well if she does one of the fairies can heal her. They heal also, said Ginger. Now put your horses under the shelter, there is lots of room in there when friends come to visit.They all walked up closer to the house. So what do you think? asked Ginger. Wow it is awesome, said Mika. Looks so modern. Well we wanted it to look something like you are used to so one of the carpenters grabbed a magazine from Cumberland called Homes Of The Future. They did have to make some changes but this is what they ended up going with, said Ginger. Now lets have a look inside. They all headed towards the front door.

  Okay it is empty now but Lilly will fix that, said Ginger. Now I have to get back to the palace so have a look around. There are the bedrooms across from each other and bathroom is in between them on the other side of that wall. Each bedroom has a door into the bathroom. There is a small bathroom over there too. Lilly needs to set up a kitchen for you but as you can see there is plenty of room in here. Ya it is bigger than our other place, said Mika. Okay see you later and enjoy, said Ginger and she left. In a few minutes Lilly showed up and flew in the open door. Hello Mika and Layla. I am Lilly. Alieta said you two need some furniture and stuff. Ya, not too much though. We like lots of open area, said Layla. Okay so not cluttered, said Lilly. Let me read you two and I will get a good idea what to create. Lilly read Layla first then Mika. Okay this will be easy, she said. She made her wand appear and created a nice sofa and chair plus a coffee table and foot stool. How does that look? asked Lilly. Looks perfect, said Mika. Okay let me set up the bedrooms, said Lilly. Now I already put two long deck chairs outside seeing you have a very nice place to sit outside. Lilly then went into the left bedroom then in a minute came out and went in the right bedroom. When she came out she stood in front of the north wall that had a basic kitchen set up then raised her hands and made it look much nicer. Okay that will work, said Lilly. Now some pots and pans and plates, cups, cutlery. Cooking tools too and that should do it, said Lilly. She then added food to the ice bos and the pantry. Now there is food in that ice box but no ice cream yet. Alieta is having Tempressa come over to flash it for you. Flash it, what does that mean? asked Layla. Oh she is the ice queen and can make ice, said Lilly. I can't make frozen water. She will be by today also. So if you need anything else just tell Ivy that lives not far from here and she will let me know. Okay, thanks Lilly, you did a great job, said Mika. Then Lilly flew out the door. Ice queen, never heard of anyone that could make ice before, said Layla. Yep, I haven't met her yet but she is one of the heroes in Alieta's books, said Mika.

  In about half an hour Tempressa walked in and said hi. I saw the door was open so I just came in, is that okay? asked Tempressa. Yep, everyone is welcomed here, said Mika. Okay, thanks. I hear you need your ice box flashed, said Tempressa. Yep, Lilly just made all this stuff for us but there is no ice cream in it yet and I get cravings for it all the time, said Mika. Tempressa smiled. Ya people here really love their ice cream, said Tempressa. I like it too, just about anything cold works for me. Tempressa went over to the ice box and opened it. Well she well stocked it for you. Yep lots of stuff to make, said Layla. I like cooking but Mika burns toast so I do all the cooking. Ya I was like that at first but I studied how to cook in books and now I am real good at it. Okay lets get this done then we can sit and talk a bit. Tempressa pointed her finger and made lots of ice appear in the ice box. There, that should hold you for a while. Wow that was amazing, said Mika. Ya everyone says that the first time they see me do it, said Tempressa. They all went over to the couch then Layla and Tempressa sat on the couch and Mika pulled over the long bench so Tempressa could put her feet up on it and sat on it. So when did you start being able to make ice? asked Mika. Well I suppose I was born with the talent like my sister, said Tempressa. So you have a sister, said Mika. Does she live in Fae Land also? Well no, said Tempressa. There is a long story about her but in short she got killed a long time ago during an orc attack but Gabriel and God brought her back as Mother Nature. Your siter is Mother Nature? asked Layla. Yep and she is very busy all the time so we don't get to see each other that often but I do invite her for dinner sometimes, said Tempressa. She is the one that made me the Ice Queen. I have a palace way up north but I like it here better. There are a lot of untold stories that us team of heros have. So this land Granada, we were told is in a different reality. Yep much more advanced than here, said Mika. Mostly girls live there though, way more girls than guys but we all stay busy, hang out at the beach plus shop a lot. Wow sounds interesting, said Tempressa. Kind of the same as here. Way more female elves and sprites than male. Well I have to go see Viridian and flash her ice box too. She makes these wonderful fruity ice sticks that everyone loves. They sound like popsicles, said Mika. That is what we call them in Granada. That sounds like the perfect name for them, said Tempressa. I will tell her what you said. Anyways off I go. Then Tempressa got up and left. Wow she was very nice, said Mika. Ya and dangerous too I bet, said Layla. Bet you she can freeze a person solid. Yep and creatures too but just bad guys I read in the book, said Mika.

  Well I am going to ride to the palace and get some money so I can buy ice cream and check out what stores they have here, said Layla. Okay, get chocolate for me, said Mika. Ya I figured that, said Layla. Mika went outside and got her horse then rode off to the palace. Well now what, wondered Mika. Maybe go see if Ivy is home. Just then an elf messenger walked in. Hello, can I come in? she asked. Yep, come in, said Mika. The elf walked over holding a pot of flowers. I brought you a house warming present. I didn't think you had time yet to buy any. No we haven't, said Mika. Thankyou, they are beautiful. So do you have a message for me? Nope, I am off duty today, said the elf. My name is Penny and I am one of the cooks in the palace. Ginger told me this house was very nice and different from the ones in the village and she was right it is beautiful. Yes they did a great job in it and Lilly just finished making all the furniture in here for us, said Mika. She also told me you and Layla were from a different reality that was very advanced, said Penny. I love reading science fiction stories and tales of the furure. What is it really like where you come from? Well let me put the flowers on the table and lets sit on the couch, said Mika. So what would you like to know? asked Mika. Everything, do you have space ships and riims that light up magically with the flick of a switch and at night the city lights up like it is still day time? asked Penny. Mika smiled well sort of but nothing is magical, said Mika. We do have some space ships but they just go up out of the earths atmosphere and circle the globe for a bit but have to come back once the air gets close to running out. We have sent some people to the moon and back but that is all. Mars is the closest planet to us and it would take forever to reach there. I imagine some day in the future they will make bigger and faster space ships. Oh okay, that was what I figured but going to the moon must of been inportant. Yes very important but lots of people think it was all fake but it was real enough, that is for sure, said Mika. Now yes you can turn on lights in a room with a switch but that is the science of electrcity. Ivy and Alexa are working on making it here also. Okay that is good news, what else is different there? asked Penny. Well we use elecricity to run all kinds of modern inventions like kitchen appliances and stereos that play music for us and we use gasoline to power cars that we use to drive and get to different places fast. That is why I don't know how to ride a horse yet but Layla is going to teach me. Penny smiled. Ya you will need to learn, Fae Land is a big place, said Penny. Ya I kind of figured that one out, said Mika. So with all thise amazing things why did you come here? asked Penny. Because this is where I am from, said Mika. I don't know how my mother and I got to that reality but there are no elves, sprites and fairies there. My ears started to grow so Gabriel told me I had to come back to where I belonged. Really but Ivy went to Granada and she has pointed ears and wings, said Penny. Ya well Ivy was more into finding out about electricity and didn't see that many people and thise that did see here figure she was just wearing a costume betending she was a fairy or something. Ya a very pretty one, said Penny. Ya that too, said Mika and they both laughed.

Conclusion

  Later that day after Penny git back home from visiting with Mika she told her friend and room mate Aiko, all about what Mika told her about all the amazing wonders that were at the land where she came from. Aiko was amazed at what Penny told her but figured she was making most of it up but didn't tell her that. Penny went for a nap and Aiko decided to walk over and see Mika and fine out if all Penny told her was true and if there was any proof of what she said. Aiko was the type of person that was very logical and needed to see proof before she would believe anything or see it with her own eyes. She left a note for Penny saying where she was and would be home soon. On her way there she was mostly thinking about what Penny told her and all the things Mika told her and wasn't watching where she was walking for the mist part. As she was walking near the end of the elf village she didn't see the round portal that was dimly lit at first laying on the ground. She walked right in it and when she was in the middle of the circle, it glowed bright then vanished, along with Aiko.

  The next morning, back at the palace, upstairs in Phonixa and Repellia's bedroom, Phonixa got up before her sister and went to her dresser to find a top and shorts to wear. Man I need to go dot some more shopping for clothes, she rhought to herself. I need more variety and especially some really nice tops. Maybe if I do some nice stuff for Kandice and Karman they with take me shopping. She plulled out a pair of shorts and a red t-shirt then just as she was about to close the dresser drawer a blue portal appeared on the floor directly under her and she vanished. Along with the portal. Repella rolled over and saw Phonixa was not in her bed so she figured Phonixa already went down to the dining room with out her. How sweet, she didn't want to wake me, thought Repellia. She then rolled back over and went back to sleep.

  Alieta was outside and saw Penny coming to the palace to start her day of working. Good morning Penny, how are you today? asked Alieta. Really bad, said Penny. Why, what's wrong? asked Alieta. It's Aiko, she is missing, said Penny. Yesterday she was at home with me after I came back from giving Mika a plant for a house warming present. I took a nap but slept through the night but when I woke up she was't in her room so I checked in the kitchen and there was a note saying she went to see Mika and would be back soon. Okay so maybe she is still there, said Alieta. No she would never stay away all night and she said she would be back soon, said Penny. Besides she would of come home in the morning if she did. Do you think she got trapped in that portal thing? Not sure, said Alieta. Maybe she stopped in town to have some breakfast. Nope, she left her money purse at home, said Penny. Okay you go in the palace and stay there, said Alieta. I will have some sprites fly around and look for her and check Mika's place too. Okay, thanks Alieta, said Penny then went inside the palace. I best call Gabriel and let her know that the portal may have taken it's first victim, thought Alieta. Before she could call her, Repellia came out and was looking around. Hi Repellia. You are out her early, said Alieta. Ya well I am just looking for Phonixa. Have you seen her? asked Repellia. No she hasn't been out here yet, said Alieta. Then where is she. I checked everywhere in the palace, said Repellia. She can't just vanish. I saw her early this morning looking in her dresser so I figured she didn't want to wake me so I just rolled over and went back to sleep. But when I woke up again her drawer was still open and her pillows were not fixed on the bed. She always makes her bed when she gets up. I checked the bathroom then got dressed and went to the dining room but she wasn't there so I came out here. Where can she be? Phonixa would never go anywhere without me. Oh my, not her too, thought Alieta. Then she called for Gabriel. Penny heard Alieta call for Gabriel so she turned around and walked back to her.

  In a few moments Gabriel appeared. Yes Alieta, I was expecting you to call soon, said Gabriel. Oh good you two are here too. How have you been doing Repellia and Penny. Been a while since we talked. I am fine and been doing good, said Repellia. I just can't find my sister. Same here but Aiko is missing, said Penny. Well don't worry I know where they both are and they are doing just fine. Actually very fine, said Gabriel. Oh good, Penny is worried sick about Aiko, and so is Repellia, said Alieta with a tone of anger in her voice. Well they will be back, well not sure when they will be back but they are coming back, said Gabriel. So where is my sister? asked Repellia. In Granada dear and very safe and in good hands, said Gabriel. Her and Aiko are both with Sapphire that is living with Leila a very nice girl that will be coming to Fae Land eventually. Granada, wow Mika told me all about Granada, said Penny. So when is she coming back? Well I was going bring them both back home but Aiko wants to stay longer and Phonixa wants to stay longer too but only if Repellia comes also. She doesn't like being separated from you, said Gabriel. Do you want to go to Granada also? asked Gabriel. You bet, said Repellia. When can I go? Now if you like, said Gabriel. Okay, let me get some money first then I will be right back. Oh never mind that dear. Fae Land money is made of gold and not used in Granada, said Gabriel. They use paper money mostly. Leila has been given enough money to take care of everyone for quite a while. Sapphire can fit you with clothing and make food. I know you two love to shop so you will be able to do that but first you have to sit and listen to Leila. It is her place and she will fill you in with the ways of Granada. Okay. I will, said Repellia. Would you like to go also Penny? I know you don't like sleeping at night without Aiko there, said Gabriel. As amazing Granada sounds I still say Fae Land Is the greatest place on the planet to live, said Penny. I would rather stay here. Alieta smiled. Now Alieta, Penny gets afraid at night when she is alone. Poor thing can barely sleep when no one is around. I am hoping you will let her stay in the palace until Aiko comes back. I would but there are no empty rooms left, said Alieta. Yes there is, said Repellia. Our room is empty. She can sleep in my bed. Perfect, said Gabriel, God bless you dear. Now also I talked to Quazar about these portal reports and he said they are uncommon and he can't stop them because he is not allowed to effect a planet with people on it but he knows about it and said it is a stable portal to the next paralell reality. Because of the heat wave and when I opened the first portal for Sapphire, portals may open up randomly. Okay so more of my people may end up in Granada? asked Alieta. Maybe but the portal is a two way door. It opens up in Granada also. You may have unsupecting visitors from there so do you best to calm them down because Fae Land is nothing like they have ever imagined, said Gabriel. Now lets go Repellia, your sister is waiting for you. Call when you need me Alieta as always. Then they both vanished. Okay so days being unusual just became straight out wierd, said Alieta. Well Penny at least you won't have far to walk to work now. Yep and I get to be one of the palace gang for a little while, said Penny with a smile.
