The Big Break

Prolog

  Two weeks had pasted and everyone had found out that Avan and Tara could kill devils. They were fairly busy for a while and even had to split up because the forest was starting to get attacked from different sides at once. They got so good that they could kill devils while flying around the forest. For the past three days there had been no attacks so maybe most of the devils were gone. They started to get bored because they always had to hang out by the palace. They went to Alieta and asked her if there was something else they could do seeing the devil thing had slowed right down. Alieta told them that she was getting reports from Jazmen that people were waving down her sprites on patrol and were wondering when they could meet the two friendly she devils that they heard so much about. The two sisters were surprised that they had become that popular and people from all over Fae Land wanted to see and meet them. Alieta first called Gabriel and asked her if she knew how the devil situation was. Gabriel told her that as far as she knew there were only a few left on this continent but there were some across the ocean but not being that bad seeing there was very little magical places there yet and only reports of two she devils in the southern hemisphere in a land called Down Under. Alieta asked Gabriel if she thought it was okay if the two of them took a break before going after those last handful of devils seeing that they have not seen any of Fae Land yet except for the palace areas and people really wanted to meet them. Sure, said Gabriel, why not. Those other devils are not that active anyways so they can take care of them later. This made Tara and Avan very happy and told Alieta that Pippa promised to take them on a tour of Fae Land when they were ready. Perfect tour guide, said Gabriel then said she will let them know when it is time to go back and get those last devils. Then Gabriel disappeared...

Chapter 1

The Tour Of Fae Land

  The three of them were out on the palace grounds then Candy and Zan came out and joined them. So when can we go? asked Tara to Alieta. Well if Pippa is not busy, you two can go now, said Alieta. Tara and Avan looked at each other and smiled. Where are they going? asked Cindy. Pippa said she would take them on a tour of Fae Land when they were ready and they are ready now, said Alieta. Oh, said Cindy. Then maybe I should take Zan on a tour of the rest of Fae Land also. I have heard from other elves that the people in the northern areas of Fae Land plus people in Cumberland all want to meet Zan too. Well that will give everyone something to do for the next couple of days, said Alieta. She called for Pippa and she popped up very fast. Hi Alieta, how can I help you? Well we were just wondering how busy you are? asked Alieta. Oh pretty busy most of the time but I got an assistant now to help in the redirecting of new pixies to the East Woods so all is under control, said Pippa. So how is that going? asked Alieta. Oh great, said Pippa. The East woods has lots of pixies in it now. Lots of pixie dust is being spread all over Fae Land night and day now so Ivy is super happy. Good news, said Alieta. Well have you the time to take Avan and Tara for that tour that you promised them? You bet, I can use the break also and it will be a lot of fun too, said Pippa. Can I bring Pippie too, she likes to hang out with me, asked Pippa. Sure, I don't see why not, said Alieta. Now Jazmen says that everyone wants to meet our two she devils so it is okay if you land and talk to them if they look like they will be happy to see them, said Alieta. That would be fine also, said Pippa. Most of the folks have not met me either and Pippie has not seen much of Fae Land also. Good, said Alieta. Now the two north provinces want to meet them also so this tour will take a couple days probably but I need them to return to the East Woods every night just in case they are needed. Okay, they are fast flyers I heard so not a problem, said Pippa. Just wait here and I will go get Pippie and she disappeared. Now Candy you two will be on horse back and will probably have to stay over night in places, especially Cumberland that has a lot of people living there and lots to see. Now I will give you some money to pay for your overnight stays. Zan looked worried and asked if the human men there were okay now, they did try to kill me, she said. They are all good now, said Alieta and want to meet you very much. Zan smiled and said okay lets go Candy. Alieta went and got Candy a bag of money that would also cover eating and shopping in some of the very unique stores in Cumberland. Okay off you two go and see ya in a couple of days, said Alieta.

  Pippa and Pippie appeared ready for the tour. So do you have any money? asked Alieta. Why would I have money, I don't need it, said Pippa. Well what about if Tara or Avan see a store that they may like something in, said Alieta. Still don't need money, said Pippa. We have Pippie! Alieta smiled. Oh yes that will work too, said Alieta. Okay you two ready? asked Pippa. Yep they both said together. Then let the adventure begin and they all took flight. The twins and Ginger came out and asked where they were going. Alieta told them that Candy and Zan were going to be gone for a few days touring around and Tara and Zan will be doing the same. Oh so what are we going to do now. They are all the excitement here, said Repellia. So you three don't find me exciting, Alieta asked the girls. Well yes but not like them. They are just more out going than you, said Phonixa. The fairies are fun also but they don't come out of the forest that much. Alieta thought to herself and knew that she was right and Phonixa and Repellia need some adventure in their lives too. Well then time for you four to come with me and I will show you that there is always lots to do in Fae Land, plus you can meet some of my friends too, said Alieta. Really, said Repellia, that would be fun I think. So where will we be going. Oh places you have not seen yet and neither have most other people plus the two northern provinces, said Alieta. Now we will be gone a while so do what you have to do for an over night stay, I am sure Tabitha will want to come along also so tell her to get ready then get your horses and I will get mine. Then off we will go. You have a horse? asked Phonixa. I have lots of horses, said Alieta. Most the horses in the stable are mine but the pure white horse is mine for riding. Cool so you won't be flying then, said Repellia. Nope horse back riding is fun too so get a move on and I will tell Jazmen to take over while we are gone. The girls all ran back into the palace all excited. I'll show them that I can be out going and exciting too. Okay, road trip so I need riding clothes Alieta said to herself.

  Alieta came out first then Ginger waited for the rest of them to come out of the palace. Tabitha came out next looking all happy. Okay where is Repellia and Phonixa? asked Alieta. They will be out soon, they have new outfits they bought a little while ago to finish putting on, said Tabitha. They are very picky at how they look. New outfits for a trip across Fae Land, they should be wearing old jeans and a t-shirt, said Alieta. That is what I said to them but nope they said those new clothes were just for a trip like this, said Tabitha. You will, see, they look great. They look great what ever they wear, said Ginger. I know but they wear certain clothes depending on what they are going to be doing, said Tabitha. Phonixa said it is important for them to look good seeing they live with Alieta in the palace. Alieta smiled then saw the twins come out of the palace looking like cowgirls. Okay we are all set, said Repellia, how do we look? Like you work on a horse ranch, said Ginger. Good, we were going for the country girl look, said Phonixa. Okay lets get our horses and head out, said Alieta. They walked over to the stable and got there horses. Alieta came out of a private stall with a pure while mare, perfectly groomed. Wow Alieta your horse is beautiful, said Repellia. Yes she is a beauty, I call her White Lighting, she is a very fast runner, said Alieta. I have been trying to fine a black stallion but those are very hard to find, said Ginger. Okay lets go everyone. Time to head out, said Alieta. They all rode past the palace then took a right heading north towards the grassy plains.

Chapter 2

The Winged Adventure Begins

  Avan asked Pippa if they could see that lake Zan told them about first. Sure she said lets go. It is just over there past the town, said Pippa. They saw that a few people were in the water but landed anyways to have a closer look around. Wow it is really beautiful here, said Tara. I have never see here before either, said Pippie. It very pretty. Are they waving at us? asked Avan. Looks like it, said Pippa. Lets go and see what they want. They walked over and three young girls came out of the water and looked very happy to see them. Look it is Tara and Avan and a fairy too with a pixie, one girl said. Hi girls. This is Pippie and I am Pippa. They all smiled. Your names are almost the same, said the girl. Yep but we are very different, said Pippa. Can I touch your wing asked one of the girls to Tara. Sure, said Tara. You can touch mine too also, said Avan. The three girls rubbed their wings and said they felt so soft. We have never seen she devils before or a real fairy. Sometime at night we see pixies flying around though, but that was from a distance plus lately they have been flying around and looking at plants during they day, said a girl. Yes the pixies are helping Ivy take care of Fae Land now, said Pippa. Oh we have never seen her either, they said. We heard she is beautiful. Yes she is very pretty, said Tara but very busy. So we heard that fairies do magical things, said one of the girls. Yep we love doing magical stuff, said Pippie with a smile. Here, hold out you hands, she told them. She made her wand appear and gave each of them an ice cream cone. Wow! That was awesome and our favorite flavor too. You all should go to the park over there and see everyone. Lots of people are there that would love to meet you four, said one of the girls. Okay we will do that, said Pippa. The girls all sat down together and started eating their cones and the four of them flew off to the park.

  When they got there they saw that there were a lot of human people there all having picnics and playing games. Well they all look like they are having fun, said Tara. They got on the ground and walked towards a group of people sitting on beach blankets eating snacks. Look mom. Angels are coming, said a little girl. They all turned and saw the four of them. No dear not angels but close though and she smiled at her daughter. They all got up and said hi. We have heard so much about you two from Peter. He said that you two were beautiful and very friendly, said the father. Oh so you know Peter then, said Tara. Ya he made that real fun game. We bought one and play it all the time, said the mother. So he also said that you two can kill devils. Is that true also? asked the father. Yep but most are all gone now so we are taking a break, said Tara. The little girl went up beside Pippie and tugged on her hand. Yes dear, said Pippie. Are you a fairy? she asked Pippie. Yes I am she answered. I love fairies. I have drawings on my bedroom walls of fairies but they are not as pretty as you, the little girl said as she looked up at Pippie with her big blue eyes. What is your name? asked Pippie. Victoria, she said. I just turned nine years old a few days ago she said proudly. Pippie and Pippa smiled. Well then Victoria, here is a gift from me. She made her wand appear and touched the girls wrist and a pretty bracelet appeared. Wow, a real magic wand just gave me a pretty bracelet mom. The mother looked over that was still talking to Tara and Avan. Really how did she do that? she asked Victoria. Like this, said Pippie and gave the mother a matching bracelet. The mother's eyes opened wide. Real magic and a real fairy, I heard about you but was unsure if the talk was real. Yep I have five sisters, we all love doing good magic, said Pippie. Is that one of your sisters? asked Victoria. No, that is Pippa, she is queen of the pixies and a very good friend of mine, said Pippie. Wow a queen like Alieta, she said. Ya our mother is the queen of the fairies, said Pippie. So you are a fairy princess? asked the mother. Yep, all six of us, said Pippie. Now those two bracelets are like the ones our mother gave us when we were young like you are Victoria. They will get a bit bigger when you go to take it off and fit perfectly when you put it back on but mostly they are magical in that they will let you feel where your mother is if you every get lost, said Pippie. Same as yours, Pippie said to the mother. Thank you Pippie, said the mother. Can Pippa do magic too, asked Victoria. Well sort of, said Pippa. You see we have magical pixie dust on our wings and when we fly around some always falls off and lands on plants and trees that helps make them grow, plus the dust can heal small wounds, said Pippa. That is having magic too, said Victoria. Pippa and Pippie smiled. Yes I suppose you are correct, said Pippa. Tara noticed a crowd of people were gathering. Wow it seems that everyone here likes us, said Tara. Are you kidding, said Victoria's mother. Fae Land loves you all!

  They talked to some more people then Pippa took them both to Eden. They flew around it first and they could all see how pretty it was from above. Can we go down there? asked Tara. I don't see any people at all so is it like holy land or something. Pippa smiled. No it is just a very magical place and the center of Fae Land's Magic, said Pippa. People don't come here much because they know that most of Alexa's team live in Eden and they don't want to intrude on them. Why would they get mad at them? asked Avan. Not at all. Actually they would welcome them and show them around and even invite them to their home, said Pippa. They are really nice and love meeting new people. They flew down and started to look around. Wow, mom was wright this is just as beautiful as Fairy Land but lots of room and lots of magic here. I can feel it, said Pippie. Yes this is the source of all of Fae Land's magic. It is very strong, said Pippa. They looked around and saw a nice place with lots of flower beds every where. Lets have a picnic here suggested Pippie. Anyone hungry? We are always hungry, said Tara with a smile. Good, then let me set it up for us, said Pippie. She made her wand appear again and made a big picnic blanket that they all would fit on then created a bunch of different types of sandwiches and very tasty fruit drinks. They all sat down and enjoyed a nice picnic. Carmen and Zatsuky were out picking some flowers for their vases at home and saw them having a picnic. They walked over to them and said hi. Hi Carmen and Zatsuky, said Pippa. Wow I have never really seen you two this close up before, said Pippie. Carmen and Zatsuky smiled. You are very tall, Pippie said to Zatsuky. Ya she got the long legs in the family. Oh so you are sisters? asked Pippie. No we are best friends but we all consider us as one big family, said Carmen. So you don't need long legs, you are very pretty, said Pippie. Zatsuky and Carmen both smiled. Well living in Eden keeps us young looking, said Carmen. So how is the devil situation? asked Zatsuky. We got most of them, Gabriel said there is no more close to Fae Land so we are taking a break and Pippa is showing us Fae Land, said Avan. So you two want to join us? asked Pippie. Sure why not, what do you have in all these containers, asked Carmen. Lots of snack food and fruit, said Pippie. Sounds good, said Zatsuky and they both sat down and joined in on the picnic.

  Where have you four been so far? asked Zatsuky. Well first we went to that small lake not far from the park, said Pippa. Okay that is Casper Lake. People like to swim a bit in there, said Zatsuky. Yep three small girls were in the lake when we flew down and they came and talked to us for a bit then told us there was a lot of people in the park just up stream a bit, said Pippa. Nice so how did the people like meeting Tara and Avan? asked Carmen. We met a nice family with a little girl and they really liked us and said every one in Fae Land loved what we did here for everyone, said Avan. Then a bunch of other people gathered around and we all talked to them too, said Avan. Ya it was really nice to see that no one was afraid of us and really liked us, said Tara. Pippie made some bracelet for some of the girls too, said Pippa. Well it is good to see you are getting to know the people here that you are protecting, said Zatsuky. Carmen and I have traveled a long way to get here and during our travels we met many people but none were as loving and friendly like the people of Fae Land. It took us almost three weeks to get here but it was well worth the trip. Wow that is even farther than where Fairy Land is, said Pippie. Yep very far south from here, said Carmen. Okay, lets open up these containers and Avan pass over that basket behind you, said Pippie. Got some nice sweet stuff in there. Time to eat and recharge.

Chapter 3

Alieta Surprises The Girls

  Alieta first took them to the beautiful lake where Zan and Candy went skinny dipping. Wow very pretty around here, said Phonixa. I can see why people skinny dip here. The water looks really clean and it is sort of hidden by all those tree. I don't think I would like getting naked outside in the open, said Tabitha. Oh that will probably change when you get older, said Repellia. They rode on and Alieta told them that they will take a short cut through the park. When they got there she saw that a lot of people were at the park so she rode on to say hi to everyone. People were waving at them and they all waved back. Victoria saw Alieta and ran up to her. Hi Alieta. You look so nice today. Well thank you dear, said Alieta. We saw the queen Pippa today also, she was very nice and look what Pippie gave me and she showed Alieta the bracelet. Very pretty, said Alieta. She gave one to my mom also, they are magical, said Victoria. Alieta remembered when Guen gave the two little girls the friendship bracelets in town. Hi Alieta, nice to see you out and about, we met Avan and Tara today, said Victoria's mom. They were wonderful. Very polite and friendly. Everyone here was happy to finally meet them. Well that makes me very happy to hear that people like them. They were worried that they would not fit in. Are you kidding I told them that Fae Land loves them, said the mother. Yes I see that now and they deserve it too, said Alieta. Who are the pretty girls with you? asked Victoria. Oh the cute red haired elf is Ginger, my best friend then Tabitha is visiting for the summer while school is out, said Alieta. Then my other two girls are Phonixa and Repellia that are twins that live in the palace with me, said Alieta. Your girls, so they are princesses too like the fairies? asked Victoria. Oh no they are not my girls that way but they are my family though, said Alieta. Well they look like princesses too me, my mom always says to trust my eyes and they look like princesses so they are princesses, said Victoria then smiled at the girls. She is so adorable, said Phonixa to Ginger. To us you are a princess too, said Repellia. Victoria smiled and said, sometimes my dad calls me his little princess. Then she, said good bye and ran off back to her father. She is something isn't she, said Alieta. Yep, a bit of a handful at times but she is only nine, said the mother. So where are you off to. Oh it is a secret. I want to surprise the girls, said Alieta. Oh I think I know where, said the mother and smiled. Okay have fun and off Alieta and the girls headed out again.

  So where are we going? asked Phonixa. You will see soon, we are almost there, said Alieta. Now do you see way ahead of us that looks all reddish, asked Alieta. Yes, why is it all red? asked Repellia. Well it is a village that only has one kind or trees that grow there called red maples. They are very pretty and where I get my maple syrup from for the palace, said Alieta. Oh okay, said Repellia. But much more goes on there, said Alieta. They soon made it to the village and was greeted by an elf welcoming them all. They got off their horses and the elf led the horse away by herself. She can manage all five horses by herself? asked Tabitha. Yes she can talk to the horses, said Alieta. Cool, said Tabitha. I have never seen this place before, said Ginger. I know, said Alieta. Not many people have been here. If you look around it seems to be out in the middle of nowhere, said Alieta. They all looked and saw that it was miles from the nearest woods or other land marks. They walked in towards the village and saw lots of red maple trees and some had buckets on them catching the sap from the trees. Is that where maple syrup comes from? asked Repellia. Yep, said Tabitha, and red maple trees make the best and sweetest of all maple syrups. Very good, said Alieta to Tabitha. Now here is the main area of the village. There are no roads like you all are used to, just stores and homes built randomly everywhere. At least you would think they are random at first look, said Alieta. An elf came out of one of the shops and said hi to Alieta. Who have you got with you dear? Did you hear that, she called Alieta dear, said Phonixa to Repellia. These are my girls I told you about the last time I was here, said Alieta. Oh how wonderful, we all love to see the young ones visit but that rarely happens, said the elf. Girls this is Tasha and she is the best cook around, even better than Ktara but don't tell her I said that and Alieta smiled. Get her to come here and I would love to show her some things, said Tasha.

  So come in and I will make you something to eat, said Tasha. They all went in and saw a couple more elves sitting and eating, they looked up and said hi to Alieta then went back to eating. They all sat down at a table and Tasha came over and asked them what they wanted to drink. That very nice juice you make would be good for all of us, said Alieta. Okay then and she left. She didn't ask us what we wanted to eat, said Ginger. Alieta smiled. No, she only makes one thing a day. It is always fantastic, said Alieta. Tasha came back out and gave everyone their drinks. So where are we exactly? asked Ginger. Oh you are in the elder village dear the oldest village in Fae Land. We were here just as Fae Land started to form after the rains, said Tasha. It wasn't called Fae Land then though. I will be right back with your order and she left again. So is it true that they we here first, asked Ginger. Yep, way before me anyways, said Alieta. Not really sure where they came from though. And she is just as old? asked Ginger. Yep, not bad looking for a girl that is many centuries old, said Alieta with a smile. Well ya, she is actually quite pretty, said Ginger. Well thank you dear. I wash my face every day and she smiled at Ginger. Now here you go all and enjoy the food. Then she left. So what is it? asked Phonixa. I don't know but what ever she makes always taste great, said Alieta and started to dig in. Okay then, said Phonixa and tasted a bit of hers. Wow, this is super good. I told ya, said Alieta. They all started to eat and Tasha watched them behind her counter.

  When they were all done, Tasha came and cleaned off the table. That was very good, said Tabitha, what was in it. Oh some lamb and pork mixed with a bunch of other stuff with special herbs and spices. It is very good for you, said Tasha. So Alieta, while you are here go see Sable. She will be mad if you didn't visit her while you were here. Oh I will, I want to talk to her anyways, said Alieta. Good said Tasha, I always knew you were going to turn into a good girl. You used to be such a brat and trouble maker when you were younger, said Tasha. Alieta was a brat, said Ginger, no way. Yes way dear but that was a long time ago, said Tasha. She did manage to always make friends and now she is a queen so she has changed. She really wasn't a bad brat though, just always had to do things her way all the time. Funny thing is that usually it was a better way. Okay Tasha thanks for feeding us and here is the money I owe you from last time also. Thank you dear. See you all again, tell that Ktara about me, said Tasha. She sounds like she may have promise. News travels fast here in Fae Land with all the pixies and they say people she is the best cook in Fae Land. Okay I will, said Alieta. Here take some candies with you, they are very good., said Tasha. Did you make these too? asked Phonixa. Heavens no, a wonderful sprite in the elf village makes them, said Tasha. Her name is Jessica and has a sprite deliver a few boxes to me every month. They are very popular here among us. I know Jessica, she makes lots of amazing sweets, said Ginger. I imagine she does, said Tasha. They all took a few candies each then they all got up and thanked Tasha for an amazing dinner and left. Ginger tuned to Alieta and said that she talked to you like you were her daughter or something. Well she sort of was along with some of the others here, said Alieta. You see a long time ago when I could first fly and was in Cumberland that was just all forest then. Five of my friends were bored and flew out to find some adventure. We came across this place and was greeted kindly and was made very welcomed. The six of us stayed for about fifteen years I think and learned a lot from these very kind but extremely smart elves. So you could say that they were my first family. When we went back to Cumberland we saw that people had started to move in and were constantly under attack from various creatures. We flew back and told the elves what was happening so they gave us some special enchanted armor and bows and arrows that never seemed to run out and would penetrate anything. After a few quick lessons we went back and started to defend these people and soon we were loved by them. I then created my first army of winged soldiers. Man those were the days, said Alieta. Ginger smiled. There is so much about you that I have not heard about yet. Yes but the best things happened when we became friends, said Alieta. Oh ya, I totally forgot, said Ginger, What Is that? asked Alieta. A man came by a few days ago and said your order was almost done and will be delivered in about a week. Sorry I just forgot, said Ginger. Oh that must be the statue, said Alieta. Statue, you had a statue of yourself made? asked Ginger. No silly it is of the first queen of Fae Land. Alexa saw her when in that time line room under the palace. I went to Cumberland and they had hand drawn portraits of her in the archives so I asked them to make a life like statue out of marble of her for me. That was a while ago. It is going up in front of the east wing of the palace. Cool, said Ginger. Phonixa put one of the candies in her mouth and was surprised at how good it tasted. Hey these candies are super good. Yep I buy a box from Jessica every week, said Ginger. Alieta tried one also. My goodness, these are amazing, said Alieta. Next time you go to see Jessica get me a few boxes too!

Chapter 4

Zan In Cumberland

 The two of them were riding north towards Cumberland and Zan asked how much longer it was until they got there. Well do you see that big forest area ahead way off in the distance, said Cindy. Yes it looks very far away, said Zan. Well yes but it is about another hour away at this speed, said Cindy. So lets go faster, said Zan and she took off ahead of Cindy. Hey wait for me, Cindy yelled. In less than an hour they were at the forest edge of Cumberland. Okay let the horses rest, said Cindy. Yes it is best if we walk with them together. It is better for their heart, said Zan. Okay then, you seem to know more about horses than I do, said Cindy. Yep I used to ride horses all the time. I could tell they felt better when they kept moving slowly after running fast, said Zan. They continued in and followed the road that lead to the first town in Cumberland. When they got to the town they saw lots of people walking around doing things but no one noticed them at first. They kept walking then a woman noticed them and came running over. Oh my, you are that girl that we thought was a she devil. Yep but I am no devil, said Zan. Yes we know that now, said the woman. Come with me please, there are some people that need to talk to you. Okay, said Zan and Cindy and they followed her. They got to what seemed like the middle of town and the woman, said wait here. Cindy noticed that a bunch of people had followed behind them. The woman came back out with three men. Oh those are the men that tried to kill me, said Zan and she disappeared. Tell her it is okay. We will not harm her, said one of the men. You hear that Zan? Yep and she reappeared. Good, said the man. Now first we want to say sorry for thinking you were an evil she devil. We had never seen a real she devil before so that was our mistake. Now after Apollonia and Ivy came and rescued you, not long after Alieta showed up here very mad at us all. I had never seen her that mad before. She was so mad that she kept changing from English to eleven then back to English. She told us that you almost died if it wasn't for the fact that Apollonia and Ivy came for you and teleported you back to the palace and a fairy was on hand to heal her she would of died. She asked who it was that hit her with the sword. That was me said one of the three men and he came forward. Yep that was him, said Zan. Well she actually came up to me and slapped me hard on the side of my head. I saw stars. Man she is strong. Zan now had a smile on her face. Then Alieta continued to ask questions like why they thought a pretty defenseless girl was a threat to them and how is it possible that she could scare anyone. Then she said something that we all here will never forget. God sent her here to see if she would get excepted by you all first. She is the very last of her kind that was hunted by other men in the south for their horns. Triffies were Gods first creation and he was very sad to see what almost happened here in Cumberland. Most of the woman started to cry and even a lot of the men had tears in their eyes. She wanted to punish us but she said that she was not like that. We will just have to live with the fact that we made a very big mistake. She then flew off still looking mad. Everyone was speechless. We wanted to do something to make up for our mistake but we figured we best not stir the pot that was on fire right now. A couple of weeks later the three of us headed out to the palace to say sorry to the Triffie but several winged sprites stopped us lead by Jazmen and told us to go back. No one from Cumberland is allowed anywhere near Zan or in Fae Land at this time. That was when we found out her name and she actually was the queen of the Triffies. Talk about feeling bad all over again. So we turned around and went back home. Now Alieta kept doing business with Cumberland through her messengers and soon we were able to make deliveries to the palace again. It wasn't until a man named Peter came with an invention that he had that Zan invented for him and took to the factory that mass produced products that we finally thought we could try and make amends with her. We met with the owner of the store that mass produced products and he said Alieta was his investor so we asked him to stop all other work and everyone was to work on Peter's submission. Everything was done at next to no cost and soon the finished games were done and sent out all over Fae Land first. Several free games were given to Peter at his home. That is where we are at with now with out a word from anyone except for now, said the man. You did that with the game I drew up for Peter and his family? asked Zan. Yes we are part of Fae Land and being told off so badly by our queen was devastating, said the man. Well we just had to fix things some how.

  Zan was very happy and went to each man and hugged them. When she hugged the man that cut her the most then he said ouch. Oh sorry, said Zan. Oh no that was not your fault. I had to wear a neck brace for two weeks after Alieta hit me and it still is a bit sore, said the man. Zan smiled and said, "That woman, is stronger than she makes out to be". Alieta is very strong woman". I sure know that now, said the man. So you two are our guests for as long as you want to stay and please stay for at least a day or two to see that we really are not bad people. Okay, said Zan. I am hungry. Is there a good place to eat? They all smiled. You bet Zan and it is on the house, said a man that owned the finest eatery in town. Everyone else dispersed but the woman that had gathered around wanted to do something special for Zan so they took off to figure out what they could do. In the eatery the owner gave the two of them menus. Order what ever you want, he said. Zan looked at the menus then asked the man why everything was mixed up. Well as we create something new we just add it to the menu on the bottom of the page, he told her. That is too confusing, said Zan. Why? he asked. Well if you put all fish dishes and all beef dishes and all pasta dishes and so on together separately then that would not be confusing, said Zan. Wow look at the prices, said Candy. More than three times that in Fae Land. Zan looked around and saw only one other couple in the place and no kids. You make people pay too much also. You make money here. Well yes but not a lot, said the man that was beginning to see that Zan was no dummy. Okay if you want to make lots of money then make prices like Fae Lands. Then in here will be always be full of people and you will make many more times the money that you make now. Yes I tend to agree with you there but it takes time to make these special dishes, he told her. So what. People will wait if the food is very good and put free bread and butter on the table while they wait. Maybe bread with garlic baked in it, she said. You know that would probably work, he said to her. What is this I don't understand this word. Oh that is escargot, he said. It is not in the dictionary. Cindy smiled and told him that she read the entire dictionary. Your kidding she read the entire book?asked the owner. Yep she is extremely smart, said Cindy. Must be he said. Well that is French for snails, he told her. Oh I don't know French yet, she said, where do they speak French? asked Zan. He smiled. Far away but they are baked in the oven in a special bowl with lots of butter and cheese on top then sprinkled with seasoned bread crumbs. It is an appetizer he told her. Okay we start with that okay, said Zan. Then she looked at Candy. Snails really? Okay why not and I will have the curried chicken please, said Candy. Me too, said Zan what ever that is, then they both gave the menus back to the man. Can we have some nice pink fruit juice too please, asked Cindy. Yes you can and he left. He then returned with their drinks. He went to the other couple and asked if they had made up there mind yet. Well everything here is too much for our budget so I suppose we should go somewhere else, said the man with his wife. The man looked at Zan then said to the couple that everything on the menu is two thirds off and will remain that way from now on. Really they both said. Okay then we will eat here then and bring our kids next time too, they said. He took their order then went to Zan and said you are a genius then went back in the kitchen. Soon he came out with the escargot that smelled really good. Well here goes, said Cindy and she picked one up with the small fork then shut her eyes and put it in her mouth. Hey this is pretty good, she said. Why haven't you tried yours yet. I wanted to see if you liked it first, said Zan. Do you think I am stupid. Cindy laughed. You are a character, she said. They finished the appetizer and the man came out with a sign and put it in the window. Then grabbed their bowls. Was that okay he asked them. Yep, perfect snails, said Zan. What was that you put in the window? Cindy asked. Oh it is a sign telling everyone the new low prices, he said. Now you are smart too, said Zan and smiled. A man came in and told the owner that the room is ready for them to sleep overnight in. Oh good, said Zan. After we eat it will be getting dark soon. Triffies need to sleep a lot to feel best the next day. Okay then, no wake-up call then, said the man. No I can wake up all by myself. Cindy chuckled. She is adorable, said the man. What were we ever thinking. I saw the price changes too. Good move man. Not my idea hers, and he pointed at Zan. Amazing I am so glad God has let her back into our lives. Then he left.

  After they finished eating, Candy went to pay the waiter but he said the owner told him it was on the house. What does that mean" asked Zan. It means all you had here is free, said the waiter. Really so do you have ice cream too? asked Zan. Well yes we do of course, direct from the dairy farm in Cumberland, said the waiter. It is the freshest and best ice cream anywhere. Do you make milkshakes, like the fairies make? asked Zan. There are fairies in Fae Land now? asked the waiter. Yep seven right now I think, said Zan. Wow, I never knew that but yes we make very nice milkshakes too, said the waiter. What flavor would you like? Chocolate please, said Zan. Me too please. Ivy always says there is room for ice cream, said Candy. It would be so nice to see Ivy again on a much better situation, said the waiter. She has only been here once and that was at a bad time. I have heard she is an amazing forest sprite. She is more than that she is the Queen of the forest and all of the plants and trees in Fae Land, said Zan. Ivy is the girl that makes everyone so happy in Fae Land. Really. I hope she comes to Cumberland then, I would love to meet her, said the waiter. The owner came back out. So was everything okay he asked. Yep just want our milkshakes, said Zan. Zan be polite, they already gave us enough, said Candy. Don't worry about that, there is never enough we can do here for Zan, said the eatery owner. Have as many as you want. One each will do, said Candy. It is getting late and almost time for bed. Yes it is, he said. Give these two creamed topped milkshakes then show them where the hotel is across the street when they are done.

Chapter 5

Tara And Avan Meet Ktara

  After sitting with Zatsuky and Carmen they got up and Pippie made everything vanish. Have you two met Ktara yet? asked Carmen. No, is she a team member too? asked Avan. Yes she is and an excellent tracker and the best cook in Fae Land, said Zatsuky. You three want to go there? asked Pippa. Sure said Pippie. Alieta said show you Fae Land and that is a very good spot also, said Pippa. They all headed over to Ktara's place and saw her outside doing some gardening as usual. Hi Ktara. Look who we found, said Carmen. Ktara looked up and said wow. Those are the best looking she devils I have ever seen. When did you ever see a she devil? asked Zatsuky. Well never but devils can't be as good looking as these two. Hi I am Ktara, very nice to finely meet you two. Nice to meet you too, said Tara and Avan. So what are you doing? asked Tara. Oh just some gardening. Everything grows fast in Eden including the weeds, said Ktara. Here let me help you, said Pippie. She made her wand appear and flew along her entire garden with it. There you go, no more weeds. Ktara looked and couldn't find a single weed. Well thank you Pippie. It usually takes me a few hours to do what you just did, said Ktara. We should invite Viridian and her gang over too. said Ktara. She lives just around the corner. Okay I will get them, said Pippa and off she flew. Viridian and the gang came around the corner and joined in with everyone. So nice to see you two again but on the good guys side now, said Viridian. Yep, it seems that it was always intended to be this way, said Tara. So killing devils must take some major effort, asked Viridian. Nope they are easy to kill now. Once Apollonia figured out what we had to do then it became very simple after that, said Avan. So you two going to stay here in Fae Land? asked Carmen. Ya we like it here plus it seems that everyone likes us too, said Tara. Well protecting Fae Land and everyone living here puts you high on everyone's like list, said Pippa. Well most of the devils are gone now so we will be looking for something else to do soon, said Avan. Well you can help us, I am sure Alexa wouldn't mind but you have to follow her instructions though. She always gives the attackers a chance to retreat, especially human armies. Oh we would never kill a human bad or good but we could definitely scare the pants off them with a couple of blasts, said Tara. So you blast the devils to death. Nope we do the freeze shift thing for that, said Tara. The blast thing is good for killing smaller creatures like gargoyles and stuff. One blast and they are in pieces. Really, said Ktara. Yep see, and Tara put her arm in the air and let out a blast. They all watched it disappear behind the cloud. Wow that went far, but what is that falling now. Looks like a big bird. Oops said Tara. Must of hit another devil. What luck. I will get it, one blast won't kill it. She flew up as they all watched and as soon as she got close to it the devil looked to try and attack her but then Tara turned it to ash then flew back down. Don't worry the ash will disappear before if hits the ground. That was truly amazing, said Pippa. Like it took no effort at all. Well I had to fly up there so some effort but yes devils and demons are easy to kill. They don't belong here anyways. Pippa smiled. Everyone else was still looking up watching the ash fall then disappear. Okay then, said Carmen. We have two super powers on our side now.

  So that was some major entertainment so what do we do now for fun? asked Zatsuky. Well it is getting close to supper now, said Viridian so I need to get back and get supper started. Ya me too, said Ktara. Well I can make your supper for each of you before heading back, said Pippie. Ya Alieta told us that we had to come back each night just in case Tara and Avan were needed, said Pippa. Okay, that saves me some work, said Ktara. Can we eat at your place? asked Carmen. Yep, best not to eat alone, said Ktara. Me too, said Viridian. I could use a day without cooking. I will go home and set the table and wait for you to finish here. So where are you four going tomorrow? asked Ktara. Oh to the North East Province. They are mostly farmers but lots to see there also Alieta told us. Ya especially now seeing we just stopped another Troglodyte attack not too long ago, said Zatsuky. So do they know about you two yet? asked Carmen. We don't know, said Avan. Well just act yourself and they will warm up to you fast. What does that mean, warm up to us? asked Avan. Carmen smiled. It means they will like you. Oh okay, said Avan. Pippie went inside with Ktara, Carmen and Zatsuky and put out some plates and glasses on the table. Okay make a turkey dinner for us please with all the fixing. Really you three must be hungry. Well you are not here all the time so why not live it up some, said Ktara. Okay and Pippie did her thing then went back out side. Thanks Pippie she heard them say. They all went to Viridian, Ivy and Sara's place, and Pippie went inside and saw the table was ready for her. Okay what would you all like to eat? asked Pippie. Well what did Ktara get, asked Ivy. Full turkey dinner, said Pippie. Wow that sounds great. Can we have that too? asked Ivy. Yep and Pippie waved her wand and made the meals for them. She went to put it away but as she turned she saw that they only had one small couch in the living room. This isn't right she said to herself and waved her wand and replaced the one couch with a full living room set and end tables plus more. Now that looks better she said and left. Ivy got up and looked at the new living room. Man I love fairies, she said then sat back down and started eating. Okay all done lets go back to the palace first and see what Alieta is doing before I go back to the forest. They all flew off and saw that no one was outside as usual at this time. Not even a fairy. I wonder where everyone is? asked Pippie. You go back to the forest Pippie and I will go and fine out where Alieta is. Probably in the dining room at this time, said Pippa. Okay we will head to the woods, said Tara. See you tomorrow, and they flew off.

  Pippa flew into the palace and went to the dining room and found Jazmen sitting there at the table all by herself picking at some food on a plate. Hi Jazmen, where is everyone? asked Pippa. Away, how was your day? asked Jazmen. Well better than what your day was from the look of you, said Pippa. Well Alieta put me in charge and said she and the girls would be gone for a couple of days. But she didn't tell me that Candy and Zan were going away for three days and neither did she tell me that you were taking the she devils for a tour of Fae Land so I have been here alone all day with the odd elf looking in on me, said Jazmen. Wow you definitely sound lonely, said Pippa. Where were the fairies? Just Pippie came with me, said Pippa. In the forest I suppose. Okay, tomorrow I will tell the fairies and Ivy the situation out here. Tomorrow will be a lot different, said Pippa, I guarantee it, said Pippa. Okay, said Jazmen. Now get some sleep and I will see you in the morning. Okay, said Jazmen again and off Pippa went. Maybe I will have some ice cream for desert, Ivy calls it happy food, Jazmen thought to herself.

Chapter 6

Meeting Some Very Special Elves

  Alieta and the girls slept at the lodge in a room the elves set up for them to stay over night in. In the morning they all went back to Tasha's place to have some breakfast. She brought Alieta a coffee just the way she liked it and the girls got orange juice then she served them all mushed up eggs. Hey this is what you like making, said Ginger to Alieta. Yep, where did you think I got the idea from, said Alieta. Okay I get it, this used to be your home, said Ginger. It still is when ever I want it to be, said Alieta. Now eat up because today we are going to meet two very special friends of mine then we will head out to Cumberland that is not far from here. They all ate up then Alieta took them to a place that smelt a bit like burning metal. Now in here is Tess lives. She makes the most amazing armor that you can find anywhere. She makes armor like a blacksmith? asked Tabitha. Well no, not exactly, said Alieta. The dwarfs make the original shape first when she reshapes it to custom orders. But she does make all the cloth and leather armor. She made the new armor that Alexa has now plus I still have the armor that she made me a long time ago, said Alieta.

  They walked inside and found Tess sitting at a table reading a big map in her study. Oh look it is Alieta and she got up and gave her a hug. My you look good, she said. Fae Land must be treating you well. Yes it has, been very busy but I am taking a bit of time off right now with my girls, said Alieta. Oh yes I see that and how pretty they are plus nice and young too, said Tess. I am not young, said Ginger but thanks anyways. Well you look young to me, said Tess. Twins too how nice, hope you are teaching them well. So what can I help you with today? asked Tess. Well first I want you to meet Tabitha that visiting and staying at the palace while she is on summer holidays from school, her father is the Mayor of Prayden. Then we have Phonixa that is a fire holder, she always wears something red so we can tell them apart. Then Repellia that can move objects with her mind and finally my best friend Ginger. I see, does Ginger have any talents? asked Tess. Ginger has many talents, said Alieta. She helps out at the palace, pretty much runs it and takes care of all the legal stuff in Fae Land. She lives in the palace also and never lets me get lonely. Oh that is the best one of all, said Tess. Ginger smiled. Now read me and you will see what I want, said Alieta. She can read people to? asked Tabitha. Oh yes dear but not as good as that forest sprite Ivy I have heard about, said Tess. You should bring her here one day for a little visit, I would love to see and talk to her some, said Tess. Okay I will, said Alieta. Tess held Alieta's hand then said oh I see. Okay I will get started on it, said Tess. Then I will send it over to Sable to give it the finishing touches. Sounds perfect, said Alieta. Okay we are off to see Sable before we leave. Tasha said she would get mad at me if I did visit here while I was here. Very smart that Tasha and very correct, said Tess. They all started to leave but as Ginger was passing Tess she put something in Ginger's hand. Show this to Sable and tell her I gave it to you. She will know what to do with it. Okay, said Ginger then caught up with the others.

  Okay just over there is Sable's place. She is the strongest enchantress of all. She enhances all the armor and weapons I bring her plus very special items like rings and bracelets that Tess makes, said Alieta. They went in and saw Sable writing in a book. Hi Sable, how are you today. Oh just fine Alieta but still having trouble with this one enchantment. Oh what is that ? asked Alieta. Must be very hard for you to be having trouble with it. Hard yes, at least the result is isn't working but something very important to me anyways, said Sable. I just can't get it right yet. I want to be able to wake up and just say a few words to my cup then it fills with coffee just the way I like it. Alieta giggled. Yes I hear ya, said Alieta. I have fairies to do that for me when they are around. Yes well I don't but I did hear about them. How are those cuties doing. Oh they are doing great and having fun plus making improvements to Fae Land. Very fun loving and a bit nutty like Pippa, said Alieta. Oh Pippa, she still comes by a lot. She likes Tasha's sugar cane in lemonade drink and she also keeps us informed about things that go on in Fae Land. Very nice girl, been around as long as us, probably longer, said Sable. Pippa is very old? asked Repellia. Oh yes dear and very smart too, all the other pixies respect her in an odd pixie kind of way. She is queen of the pixies now, said Alieta. Yes she told me, she should of been made queen a couple of centuries ago, but yes she is a bit nutty too, said Sable. I like that in her. Sable, Tess gave me this ring and asked me to give it to you and you would know what to do with it, said Ginger. Oh let me see that please, said Sable. Oh yes, give me a moment dear. She put the ring in her hand and squeezed it tight then said a few words in old eleven then placed it back in Gingers hand and placed here hand on top then said a few more words. There you go dear, now put it on. You must be very special to Alieta because she rarely gives me one of these rings to enchant. The only other one I did was for Mother Nature then she gave it to Alieta to give to that cute little girl Alexa. So this will make me translucent like Alexa's ring? asked Ginger. Yes it will dear. You must stay safe you know. Now Tess is a good reader but some times she takes a bit of a look around when inside when she shouldn't. She must of found you to be important to Alieta, said Sable. Only this pure gold ring can be enchanted this way. All the rest do other things but this is the best and has the strongest magic.

  Okay now who are these very pretty young girls you brought with you this time? asked Sable. Well the girl with the blue top is Repellia that can move objects some with her mind and her twin sister in the red top Phonixa that can hold fire in her hands, said Alieta. Then the cute blonde girl is Tabitha from Prayden that is spending her summer holidays at the palace with me. What I forgot to tell Tess was she is Cindy's great grand daughter. Really, Cindy the angel, that is so wonderful. Cindy stops by here sometimes to check on the elves that work here, said Sable. What about Zan the Triffie that Pippa told me about, how is she doing? She is doing great and is with Candy right now touring around Fae Land, said Alieta. She is staying in the palace with me also. Well seems like you and Ginger have plenty of company now in that big building of yours, said Sable. I am glad for you. Well I have to get to work, hope to see you again soon. Bring me some more armor. I don't want it to get rusty, and she smiled. Very funny, said Alieta. Well I still try to raise a smile, said Sable. Okay we are off to Cumberland, said Alieta. The three teens have never been there before. They all left and went to get their horses.

Chapter 7

The Farm

  Zan and Candy spent the night across the street in a very nice hotel and were given the best room in the place. They both had a nice double bed to sleep in and lots of pillows. It did not take long for the two of them to fall asleep after a very busy and eventful day. In the morning they were treated to a complementary breakfast then they asked where the next town was. The hotel owner told them that the next town was being expanded and was under a lot of construction. Oh said Cindy. So where else would be nice to see in Cumberland. Well maybe the big farm to the west that has corn fields, chickens and cows, they make dairy products there and Alieta gets all her milk products including ice cream from them. It is run by a very nice family with three girl triplets and their brother with their parents that are very friendly. Candy knew of the three girls but that was all. Zan got excited and said we have to go there! Okay we will, said Candy. How do we get there she asked the hotel owner. Just take the main road west and it will take you directly to the farm, he said. They went out and were surprised to see a large gathering of people all looking at them. A woman went up to them and said we just wanted to show you two how sorry we are so we made this nice street party for you two and would love for you to join us in a celebration of the return of Zan to our great province. The music started and people started to dance and Zan told Candy she loved dancing so the two of them joined in and had a very good time and met a lot of people. After a while they told every one that they had to leave and go see the farm that they were told about. That is fine and it is not far away but we are all going to keep dancing because this was a day to rejoice, said the woman. They went and got their horses and headed along the west road. Soon they reached the big farm and and saw the family outside working away. They rode up along the main road to the farm then the brother ran up to them and asked who they were and if they were here to place an order. Well no, said Candy. We are just touring Cumberland and the people in town told us that this farm was a must see. The father then walked over and saw Zan. Oh my goodness, he said and called for his wife. Look dear it is Zan, the girl that everyone in town thought was a she devil. Oh she is so pretty, how could they of every thought she was a devil of any kind, said the mother. Please come and we will take your horses for you two. We are so glad you came to visit us, said the mother. They were taken to the front of their home and then the father called for his daughters. They came running over and said yes father what do you want? Look girls, it is Zan and her elf friend, said the father. Really, said one of the girls, she is here! Yes girls now wipe off some of that dirt from your clothes and introduce your selves to them. Hello. I am Janet, I am Kimberly, I am Ambrosia and this is our brother Jeff. Zan looked at all of them, then said "Very pretty young girls and a handsome young man. You have a very nice family here." Yes we do and they are all hard workers and keep this farm running perfectly, said the father. So this is Zan that we have heard so much about, said Kimberly. Yep, that is me, said Zan. You three are very similar looking and obviously the same age. Very pretty also. Yes they are nonidentical triplets but very close to looking the same and even the towns people still get them mixed up, said the mother with a smile. Nice handsome boy too! I feel that he is very protective of his sisters. Ya I love my sisters and make sure they don't get in trouble and help to keep them safe, said Jeff. That makes for a very good brother, said Zan. So girls would you please show Zan and Candy around but we need to borrow Jeff for a bit to help his father out, said the mother. Okay and they took Candy and Zan for a tour of the farm.

  Now first of all this is where we keep the chickens that lay the eggs for us. They are really funny at feeding time, said Ambrosa. Really how is that? asked Cindy. Oh they look like they are dancing as they peck the feed off the ground, said Ambrosa. Funny, dancing chickens, said Zan. We don't keep them in cages or anything, but at night we just chase them into the barn which is a lot of fun too. Then shut the doors. They will lay eggs during the day out here and also at night in the barn. Eggs are not are main product here but what ever we don't use, the rest we sell. We always save a couple of dozen for Alieta because she told us that she loves eggs in the morning and usually all mushed up, what ever that is all about, said Janet. Oh they are amazing. You get three boiled eggs and peel them then put them in a cup or glass then add butter then some salt and pepper then use your fork and mix and mush it all together then eat them with toast. Easiest way to eat eggs and very tasty, said Candy. Yes that does sound good and fun also, said Kimberly. The chickens here never run into the corn field because it is just all dirt out there but sometimes the come out to the yard. Then we have to chase them back, said Ambrosa. When they see our Dad come out they all run back by themself. I guess they know not to mess around with him.

  Now over here in the barn is where we milk the cows. It is a lot of fun doing that, said Kimberly. Let me show you how milking is done. Kimberly sat on a small stool then grabbed a otter with each hand the started to pull them downward. Milk then sprayed out into the bucket under the cow. That looks easy and fun, said Zan. Do you want to try? asked Kimberly. Okay and the two of them switched places. Zan started to squeeze the otters but nothing was coming out. Maybe the cow is empty, said Zan. Kimberly giggled. No silly, you have to squeeze then pull down, said Kimberly. Zan tried that and still nothing came out so turned an otter toward her to see if the hole was blocked but when she did that milk sprayed her in the face. Everyone giggled. Yep not empty, said Zan. Nice warm milk tastes really good, she said as she wiped her face and licked the milk off her hands. This may look easy but is really not so easy to do, said Zan. You want to try asked Zan to Candy. No I already know how to milk a cow, she said. Well it does take a bit of practice first but once you get the hang of it, then it is easy, said Ambrosa. Now once we get a few full buckets of milk from each cow, we take it over to that churn where we make butter from the cream that settles on the top of the milk. It takes a bit of time and muscle to make the butter so usually Jeff does that part or our father, said Kimberly. So what is this for, asked Zan. Oh that is my favorite thing in here, said Janet. It is for making ice cream. I love making ice cream and it is not that hard to make. Ice cream is my favorite food, said Zan. Mine too, said Janet. Now all you do is put the cream and milk inside from the top then close the lid. Then add all the crushed ice in this outer chamber area surrounding the milk inside. Then close the lid tight. Then you just turn this lever that mixes the milk and cream nice and fast. As soon as you feel that the milk is getting nice and thick then you open the lid and add some sugar and what ever flavor you want the ice cream to be. Close the lid again, then start mixing again. When all mixed you put ice cream containers under this valve and fill it then close it tight then put them in this icebox to freeze hard. Sounds easy but complicated too, said Zan. Oh if you like ice cream like me then you learn very fast how to make it. I make the best ice cream around anywhere, said Janet. Yes Alieta buys it from here and it tastes so good, said Candy. Yes Fae Land is our biggest customer of dairy products and she buys a lot of ice cream directly from us, said Janet.

  Now lets go back outside and take you to the corn field. It is very big and fun to play in, said Ambrosa. They all walked over to the huge field of corn plants. Wow this is a very big field of corn, said Candy. Yes we supply a lot of corn cobs to Cumberland and Fae Land every September when the cobs are ready to harvest. Alieta buys some from us for her harvest festival each year. We also cook and bag corn kernels then freeze them for markets, said Ambrosa. So what do you play in here with all the plants? asked Zan. Oh mostly tag and hide and seek, said Ambrosa. It is fun and also keeps the crows away from the corn around harvest time. We also put up scare crows to help keep them away. What is a scare crow? asked Zan. Oh it is a man shaped figure stuffed with straw and we put some old clothes on it and a hat then tie it to a post. It looks like some one is in the field all the time. It works most of the time but playing tag works a lot better, said Ambrosa with a smile. So right now we don't need them in the field but by next month we will be placing six of them all over the place in here, said Janet. So that pretty much finishes the tour of the farm except for the vegetable gardens by the house that our mother loves to take care of. She is very good at growing them, said Janet. So lets go back to the house and see what everyone there is doing, said Janet. When they got there the mother invited them in for a nice home made meal. They all went in and sat at the big kitchen table and had an amazing meal. Then she served everyone ice cream sundaes for desert. Wow these are good, said Zan. Yep, the ice cream doesn't get any fresher, the mother said. Now we have an extra room with a couple of beds in there with fresh sheets on them. So feel free to go to bed when ever you want. Us farmers get up early and go to bed soon after supper. Us too, said Zan. Yes we will be heading home tomorrow, said Candy. Time to get back and see what is going on. Been a very nice change though. Glad you liked it here, said the father. Come back any time. Okay thanks, said Candy.

Chapter 8

The Unexpected Party

  Pippa went into the fairy forest in the morning and told the fairies what was going on with Jazmen and how she was pretty lonely. Oh we can fix that, said Sunflower. I will go and meet her for breakfast like we all used to do with Alieta when we were living in the palace. Us too said Lilly and Chestnut. Okay good said Pippa. I will go and tell Ktara too, she is usually outside in her yard most of the time. Maybe she will come with Carmen and Zatsuky also after breakfast to keep her company. Maybe have a little party together, said Pippa. Sounds good, said Sunflower. Now Pippie and I are taking Tara and Avan to the North East Province for a look around. Then we will be heading back. Not sure what they do there but we will soon find out, said Pippa. Okay said the fairies then Pippie and Pippa flew off. Okay said Sunflower, lets go make breakfast for Jazmen then off they flew. The rest of them stayed to wait for Ivy and Sara to come to the cove. Pippa and Pippie met Tara and Avan in front of the palace then flew off together. They stopped at Ktara's place and told her about how sad Jazmen was yesterday from being lonely. Ktara was glad to help and figured Viridian Zatsuky and Carmen would go to the palace today also. They all took off again for the North East Province. Back at the palace the three fairies went into the palace then to the dinning room to wait for Jazmen. When she came down she was surprised to see them all there waiting for her. Hi girls. Why are you here? asked Jazmen. We are having breakfast with you, said Sunflower. Oh, okay but I thought it was really busy in the forest, said Jazmen. So what, said Chestnut, having fun with you is much better. Jazmen went to sit in her normal spot but Sunflower stopped her. You get to sit at the head of the table today Jazmen. You are queen for the day! Jazmen smiled then sat in Alieta's spot. Okay so lets have breakfast, said Sunflower and then she made her wand appear them made eggs and bacon with toast and orange juice appeared in front of them all. Lets eat everyone, we will need the energy for today.

  Pippa brought them all to the Prayden then saw that it was mostly forest. They found an opening and landed there. Hmm, not much here to see, said Pippa. Lets follow that path and see where it takes us. They walked along and it lead to a small town that had some people walking around. They headed for it and saw a man come towards them and said hi to them. Hello sir, said Pippa. Oh those two must be the she devils that Jazmen told one of our men about when he was at the palace. Yep they are, said Pippa. This is Tara and her sister Avan. Well nice to meet you two he said. Oh very nice to meet you too they said back to him. He is good looking, said Tara. Will you stop hitting on every man you meet Tara. Well I am a woman you know, said Tara. Yes and a very pretty one at that, said the man. See he likes me, said Tara with a smile. So who is this pretty looking girl you have with you? asked the man. Oh that is Pippie, she is a fairy princess. Really, a real fairy. I heard about the fairies but never though I would see one way out here, he said. So come with me and meet some of the people here. There is not a lot of us but most live in this town ahead. They all followed him to town and he yelled out for everyone to come meet their new friends. Out came the people and saw Tara and Avan first. Oh so these are the friendly she devils we were told about, said a woman. Yep, the one with the darker hair is Tara, and the one in the red hair is Avan. Wow those are some sexy outfits, she said and kind reveling too, she said. Well they are the ones God gave us and they are very comfortable, said Tara. I bet they are, she said. Well you can't argue with the man upstairs, though they do make you less threatening, that is for sure, she added. Now we have been graced with Pippie also that is a fairy princess from the new forest that we have all heard about. My goodness she is so cute, said the woman. Lovely wings too! So walk around and meet everyone and make your self at home said the man. I am sure everyone wants to meet you all.

  Jazmen and the three fairies finished their breakfast then Jazmen asked what is next. We check the sun dial like Alieta does every morning, said Sunflower. Okay lets all go, said Jazmen. They all went out and checked the sun dial. Yep a little after seven, said Chestnut. An elf came over and said, "Nice to see some fairies out here again. It's been very quite around here with out you all around". Well stick around because we all plan on having fun today, said Sunflower. Cool, said the elf. So what kind of fun are we having today? asked Jazmen. Oh you will see, said Sunflower. Well Pippa did tell me last night that today wasn't going to be boring like yesterday, said Jazmen. So how is today looking so far? asked Chestnut. Pretty good so far, said Jazmen with a smile. Well if there is going to be some fairies out her today then I can get a couple of my friends to come hang out also, said the elf. Just because Alieta is away with Ginger and the twins, doesn't mean we can't have some fun too. Yep and once Ivy and Sara get to the cove at eight then maybe they will come too, said Lilly. But what is everybody going to do? asked Jazmen. Your the queen for the day, you figure it out, said Lilly. We will do what ever you say, so long as it is fun! Back in Prayden, Pippa asked what there was for them all to see here in this province. Well not much really, said the man. We are a live stock province and supply most of the meat to Fae Land. Mostly animal farms and slaughter houses, he said. Don't really think Pippie here wants to see a slaughter house. What is a slaughter house? asked Tara. Oh it is where the animals are killed and then bled out then cut into pieces for sale at the markets, said the man. Yuk, said Pippie, sounds gross. They all laughed. Okay never mind then, said Pippa. What do you all say we head back to the palace and see what is going on. I have a feeling that it is going to be fun there today. Okay they all said and flew off.

  Back at Ktara's place she decided to get Carmen and Zatsuky to come with her to the palace. They liked the idea seeing nothing was going on so they all got dressed up nice like Ktara and headed out. They saw Viridian outside and invited her too. Viridian got changed then headed off also. While going by Paisley's place. Ktara decided to knock on there door anyways figuring they were just making out as usual. Paisley answered and was happy to see them all dressed up. What is going on? asked Paisley. Oh we are all heading out to the palace to keep Jazmen company. Everyone went on a break or something and left her in charge yesterday all alone with nothing to do. So a party then, said Paisley with a smile on her face. Ya, why not, said Ktara. Hey Titus want to come to the palace with us girls. No I am hanging out with Diego today at his place, said Titus. Okay then. When you get there tell Alexa to get dressed up and get her little butt to the palace, said Paisley. Okay dear, said Titus. She went back in and got all pretty looking and then headed out with them. At the centaurs place. Oaklyn was outside with Taiyo. Hey where are you all going dressed up like that, she asked them. All girl party at the palace, said Paisley. Awesome, let me get Starlite. She will definitely want to go with us too, said Oaklyn. When Titus got to Alexa and Diego's place he told Alexa about the all girl party at the palace and to get all dressed up. She was all happy and got Angus to deliver a note to Tempressa, about the unexpected party.

  Now the town in Cumberland is not that far from here. We will get there in less than an hour, said Alieta. Let me see that ring, said Phonixa. Okay, said Ginger and went to take it off. Oh no dear leave it on. Never take it off. It will never tarnish your skin, it is pure gold, said Alieta. Oh okay, said Ginger. She showed Phonixa it on her finger. Oh kind of plain looking but it does look like gold, she said. Yep and to me it is much more valuable then gold, said Ginger. Alieta smiled and they started on their way. They got to Cumberland and saw that they had just missed a party of some sort. Oh look it is Alieta said one of the women. She must not be mad at us anymore. Hello girls, what did I miss. Oh Zan and Cindy were here and we threw them a small party just for being so forgiving of us. She is so sweet and adorable, said the woman. Yes she is, said Alieta. So where were they going? asked Alieta. Well Cindy asked where the next town was but we told her that it was being expanded and a lot of construction was going on there. One of the men told them that there was the dairy farm to the west not far from here where you buy all your dairy products and the triplet girls lived. Zan wanted to see the farm so they left about an hour ago. So do you what to go there too? asked Tabitha. No not now. First I want to take you to that nice eatery up the street, said Alieta. It is bit on the expensive side but the food is very good, said Alieta. Oh not expensive anymore, said another woman. It seems Zan told the owner that the prices were all wrong and the menu was too confusing. She told him how to fix the menu and to lower all the prices to Fae Land's pricing. She said lots more people means lots more money. It seems to be working because now the place has a lot more people in it and it has only been one day. Ya that is our Zan for sure. Very smart girl, said Alieta. Yes she is, now did she really read the entire dictionary, asked the woman. Alieta laughed. Well yes she did actually, said Alieta. Wow "I could never get past a the "A's", she said. They all headed over to the eatery and saw the place was almost packed. Wow this has really changed, said Alieta. Oh hi Alieta. Very nice to see you again and you brought friends too. Yes these are my friends from the palace, said Alieta. We are just touring around Fae Land some. How nice, he said. Now there is this big table here by the window, so have a seat and I will get you all the menus. Wow very busy in here for a change, I have never seen it so busy before, said Alieta. This is definitely Zan magic, said Ginger. The owner came back and gave them all a new menu plus had a waiter give them all a glass of ice water. Then they left. Hmm, the menu is all organized now and nice reasonable prices too, said Alieta. Yep Zan magic for sure. They all decided what they wanted and they gave the waiter their order. Okay I will be right back with your free garlic bread to nibble on as you wait for your meals and he left. Free garlic bread too, said Alieta. Never heard of that before. They all got their meals and ate up while they chatted. Alieta paid the bill and they all left. So do you want to go see Zan and Cindy at the farm? asked Repellia. No lets leave them be, said Alieta. Lets head for the North Eastern Province of Prayden where Tabitha comes from.

  They all got on their horses and headed out. They were about half way there when Alieta saw Pippa, Pippie, Tara and Avan flying south. Look, they must of already been in that province and looks like they are heading back to the palace, said Alieta. Pippa saw them so she flew down to talk. Hi Pippa, said Alieta. You all done now? Yep, nothing to see in that province said Pippa but the people were very nice. What you mean, nothing to see? asked Alieta. Yukky slaughter houses was what Pippie said. We passed, I didn't want to see them at all either so we decided to head back to the palace and keep Jazmen company, said Pippa. Your girls don't need to see animals being killed and cut up either. Yes you are right, said Alieta. Now you said you were going to keep Jazmen company, Is there something I should know about? asked Alieta. Well yes, said Pippa. You all took off and left her in charge with no one around. All the girls were gone plus Tara and Avan. The fairies were all busy in the forest so when I got back at night I found her sitting alone in the dinning room looking very sad. Oh my god, I never even thought about that, said Alieta. She must of been bored stiff. Ya even the elves out side we not around without any fairies at the palace, said Pippa. We are headed back now but I did tell Ktara what was going on with Jazmen plus Sunflower, Lilly and Chestnut went there to make breakfast for her. Okay, good said Alieta, We will head home too seeing I don't want the girls to see a slaughter house either. Okay, said Pippa, see you all there and flew off. Poor Jazmen, said Ginger. She must hate us all now. Well maybe a bit but she would never hate us, said Alieta. Okay lets all head back now and have some fun. Yeah! all the girls cheered. Mission make Jazmen happy!

Jazmen and the three fairies were hanging out on the palace grounds when a bunch of elves came over and asked what was going on? You will see, said Sunflower. Look there are people coming, said one of the elves. Told ya, said Sunflower. Jazmen looked and could see them and as they got closer she saw that they were the heroes and they were all dressed up. What is going on? asked Jazmen. Just some of your family coming to be with you, said Sunflower. Just then Pippa showed up with her crew. Well Pippa did say that today I was going to be fun, said Jazmen. Hi Jazmen, we are back, said Pippa. Already? asked Jazmen. Ya there wasn't much to see in Prayden and slaughter houses didn't sound too nice to check out so we decide to come back and be with you, said Pippa. Jazmen gave Pippa a big hug. I am your family too you know, said Pippa. Yes I know Pippa. Look who is coming, said Jazmen. Yep I saw them when flying here so I flew down and asked them what was going on and they said an all girl party at the palace. A party, for me? asked Jazmen. Yep an all girl party, said Pippa. But they are all dressed up too. Sure why not be an all pretty girl party also, said Pippa. The team arrived and came over to Jazmen. You ready to party girlfriend? asked Paisley. Yes but look at all of you so pretty and sexy, said Jazmen. I can fix that, said Pippie. Out came her wand and then Jazmen had a beautiful dress on. Wow, said Jazmen, thank you, I have never worn anything like this before. Well now you have a party dress, said Pippie. She turned to Tara and Avan then said, you two already look great and sexy. Tara and Avan just smiled. Okay then lets get this party going, said Jazmen.

Chapter 9

All Girl Party Success

  The fairies set up a table with party food on it then an elf said she will get the minstrels. Look here comes Alexa and Tempressa, said Chestnut. Alexa and Tempressa walked over looking great. Wow you two are amazing looking, said Jazmen. Well thank you they both said. Everyone here looks great, said Alexa. Tempressa went to Tara and Avan. Hmm, you two look much better not all banged up and frozen. They both smiled. So were you that ice person that we could barely see. Yep The Ice Queen at your service, said Tempressa. Pretty sexy outfits you both have on, said Tempressa. Thanks but if you looked any hotter you would melt into a puddle, said Avan. Tempressa laughed. That was a good one she said. The minstrels arrived and got set up then started the music. Okay everyone lets start the party and get dancing, said Jazmen. Alieta could hear something in the distance as they were passing Sandy Lake. Do you all hear that? asked Alieta. Yes it sounds like music, said Ginger. Alieta smiled. Lets go girls. There is a party happening at the palace! said Alieta. They all sped up. Look the whole gang is here, said Alieta. They are all dressed up and we are all dusty looking, said Phonixa. Who cares, said Alieta. Look Jazmen, there is Alieta and the girls, said Alexa. Oh hope she isn't mad at me for having a party. Are you kidding, Alieta loves parties, said Alexa. The five of them went over to Jazmen and said nice party girl. Yep, hope it is okay, said Jazmen. You bet, said Alieta. You look great Jazmen, a pretty dress and sandals. They look good on you, said Alieta. Ya I do look good dressed like this but I do prefer my regular outfit, said Jazmen. Well looks like the perfect party dress for you, how long have you had that? asked Alieta. About ten minutes, Lilly made it for me, said Jazmen. Okay that makes sense, I am going in to clean up and get changed, said Alieta. You girls do the same. The four girls ran into the palace then Alieta said to Jazmen, "I am so sorry, Pippa filled me in how I left you all alone. It will never happen again. We will talk later". Then Alieta ran into the palace.

  The rest of the fairies along with Ivy and Sara all showed up seeing it was almost lunch time. Wow a party, said Tulip! Ivy smiled then Sara said I wish I had something nice to wear like them. Me too said Ivy. Pippie over heard them and came to the rescue. No problem said Pippie and she used her wand on them and two beautiful green outfits appeared on them. Both Sara and Ivy looked at each other then smiled. They are perfect, said Ivy. Yep, I figured you two loved green and all so now you are wearing fancy greens. Are they sexy too? asked Sara. Oh ya, very sexy, said Pippie. They both smiled at her. Wow, said Paisley. I didn't think you two could get more beautiful and hot. I am impressed! Alieta and Ginger came out dressed up and the twins came out in pretty dresses with Tabitha too. Okay we are all here, so lets all rock and roll, said Jazmen. Candy and Zan were getting close to the palace and heard the music. I wonder what is going on? said Candy. Sounds like people having fun, said Zan. Alieta must be having another party probably, said Candy. She loves to throw parties and doesn't need much of a reason to have one, said Candy. Odd for a queen, said Zan. But everything here in this country is odd she said with a smile. Lets go faster, I love parties too and dancing. Okay, said Candy and they both moved out to the palace grounds. Look, said Zan, lots of people in fancy clothes dancing and eating. Yes but I don't see Alieta anywhere, said Candy. This is different. They rode up and two elves came up to them so Candy asked where Alieta was. Oh she went inside to get changed. She will be out soon, said the elf. I will take your horses to the stable for you both. They walked over and saw that most every one was team members dressed up plus all the fairies with the she devils and even Ivy and Sara were in different outfits. Something special must be going on, said Candy. You don't get all dolled up for nothing. Who cares lets go have some fun said Zan and she ran into the crowd and started dancing. Candy walked over to Carmen that was talking to Ktara and asked what the occasion was. Oh found out that Jazmen was left in charge of the palace when everyone left on a break and she was bored stiff so we decided to all cheer her up today, said Ktara. So Alieta left also? asked Candy. Yep with all the young girls and Ginger so the place was kinda barren yesterday, said Carmen. So why is everyone all dressed up? asked Candy. Why not, said Ktara. All girl party and a chance to show off to all our friends. Even the fairies are being extra nutty today as you can see. Candy looked down and saw Sunflower sitting on the ground waving at her and was quite small. Go grab something to eat then join in, said Ktara.

  Alieta came back out from the palace all dressed up and went to Jazmen. You put on a very good party, even better than me, said Alieta. No you are the party master but this party just kinda happened by itself, said Jazmen. All I know is Pippa said today was going to be better and man it sure is. You look great in that dress now, said Jazmen. I have never seen you a different outfit before other than your old battle outfit. But look at you all decked out looking so pretty. Yep everyone looks great here today, said Alieta. So lets go dance! Everyone was dancing plus eating food and drinking, just having a great time. Tempressa and Phonixa put on a little show for everyone. Phonixa made fire appear in her hand then Tempressa froze it that fizzle it out. Lots of little things were going on here and there. Ginger went over to Alexa and showed her the ring the elders gave her. Wow, you met the elders, Yep and they want to meet you and Ivy also, said Ginger. I wonder what would happen if we both went translucent and touched each other, said Alexa. Lets try, said Ginger. They both went translucent and found they could touch each other. Alexa called Carmen over. See if you can touch us while we are holding hands like this, said Alexa. Carmen's hand could not touch either of them. Very cool, said Alexa and the they both went solid again. So you got a cool ring like Alexa too now, said Carmen. Yep the elders gave it to me, one of them read Alieta for something that she needed and also saw that she wanted me to have this ring I think. Alexa smiled. You know Alieta loves you like a sister, said Alexa. You two go back a long way. Even before Mother Nature and probably even further. You have always been by her side and she loves it that way. Of coarse she wanted you to have that ring. Ya I know, I love her too, said Ginger. You better, she would die for you. So get out there and have some fun, said Alexa. They really go back that far together? asked Carmen. Oh yes, probably before Alieta was even queen, said Alexa. It was Ginger that found Tempressa and Snowflake for Alieta. If it wasn't for Ginger, we may not of ever gotten our Mother Nature.

  Repellia saw Tempressa and Alexa talking by the table with all the food on it. She walked over and said hi. So you got to meet the elder elves too, asked Alexa. Yes and found out something very special about Alieta, among other things like Tasha is an amazing cook, even better than Ktara but also that Alieta grew up in that village and is very strong, said Repellia. She could probably pick someone up and throw them away. Really, said Tempressa. She is keeping that a secret from us that is for sure. I don't think so, said Alexa. Ivy could tell if she had any secrets and she says Alieta has no secrets. We just haven't asked her about being strong, but I know she was a warrior before she became queen. Lets do it now then, said Tempressa. She is over there with Ginger. Okay why not, said Alexa. They went over to Alieta and Alexa said that Repellia heard that you are actually very strong. Is that true? Well yes dear I can take care of myself I was raised in a very magical place with very magical elder elves. I have tossed a few men around here and there. Not as strong as you though. Wow there is so much that we don't know about you, said Alexa. Well just go to the elder village. They want to see you, said Alieta. Where is it, asked Alexa. Oh just a bit south east of Cumberland. You can't miss it. It is the village with all the red maple trees growing everywhere. They will tell you anything you want. I don't mind. I have no secrets, said Alieta. Yes we know that, said Alexa.

  The party was still going after a couple of hours then Safire showed up again. Another party and I wasn't invited, said Safire. Don't blame me, this is Jazmen's party, said Alieta. Oh okay then, I better go suck up to her some so she will invite me next time, said Safire and off she went. They all laughed. She is so funny, said Ginger. Yep and strong as anything, said Alieta. Safire is very light hearted and loves to make people laugh but she has a flip side you don't want to mess with. So Alexa, when you go to see the elder elves, take Ivy and Ktara with you. I believe all three of you will find it very interesting and different there. They are all waiting for you three, said Alieta. Okay, said Alexa. Now get out there and have some fun with everyone. Okay and off she went. Why does Alexa want to know so much about you, asked Ginger. I don't know, Alexa is just very inquisitive, said Alieta. You can always ask me questions too you know. Nope don't need to, said Ginger. I know all I need to know about you. What about you, what stuff haven't you told me yet? asked Alieta. Nothing important, I am just a boring elf, said Ginger with a smile. Boring my butt, said Alieta. The party went on and more food was put out. It was one of the longest parties ever with exception to the harvest festival but that was more of a celebration than a single party. Eventually it was beginning to get dark and Jazmen noticed that people were starting to get tired. Okay every one, may I have your attention please. Everyone went quite and the music stopped. Hmm, that was easy she thought to herself. Now I want to thank you all for coming and looks like everyone had a great time. I also want to thank you all for showing me that I am also part of the most amazing family anyone could ever wish for. It is starting to get dark and I believe you all should start getting ready to head back home soon. Tomorrow is another day and anything can happen in this great land of ours so thanks again and pleasant dreams to you all. They all clapped then started getting ready to go home. Jazmen went over to Alieta and Ginger. How was that? she asked. Very queen like, said Alieta. Safire came over and said nice speech Jazmen. Even better than Alieta's. Well maybe not all of them but better end of party speeches anyways. Okay I am off down stairs again. Word of warning though, never arm wrestle with Alieta, she almost beat me once then off Safire ran. Man she is such a nut, said Jazmen. Yep but she is our nut, said Alieta. The minstrels all packed up and the fairies cleaned everything up. Everyone stopped to say great party and good night to Jazmen. Pippie put Ivy and Sara's normal clothes back on but gave them the two outfits to keep. Tara and Avan went to the woods. Soon everyone was gone and the fairies all went back to the forest. So how about you Jazmen, you keeping that dress. Yep I like it. I have lots of the other outfits at home. Okay then see you tomorrow then, said Alieta. Jazmen then flew home. Okay girls in ya all go. Get ready for bed please, said Alieta. What about Ginger, said Phonixa. Oh she is older than all of you put together. She can stay up as long as she wants, said Alieta. Then they all went into the palace.

Conclusion

  All was nice and quite again. Alieta and Ginger sat down on the palace steps. So how did you like the trip we all went on? asked Alieta. I loved it, said Ginger. The elder village was the best though. Yes, they are amazing people in an small village. First place on this continent to have magic coming from it that they know of, said Alieta. I would like to go back and visit that farm though with you, said Ginger. Candy said the three triplets were very nice and so was their brother. Yes we will do that, said Alieta, but not on horse back. I will get Gabriel or better still Apollonia to transport us there.
