A Deadly Visitor Leads To A New Discovery

After they talked a bit longer Viridian figured it was time to get back to the palace and have some lunch and let Ivy wind down some. Ivy it is time to head back to the palace, said Viridian. Okay, is it lunch time yet? asked Ivy. Yes it is so hurry up, said Ginger. You three go in the house and get changed and I will gather these cups up. Then I have to get Colin's lunch started too, said Starlite. Once they were all ready to go Ivy said good bye to Colin and Starlite then they began to walk towards Sandy Lake. I will meet you there and tell Alieta that you are on your way, said Ivy then she flew off. Sounds like she is hungry, said Ginger. Probably but she does have wings so why not use them I figure, said Viridian. Ivy flew over Sandy Lake and saw there were a few people in front of the palace. When she got closer she could see it was Alieta and a man with a horse plus what looked like an armed sprite. Ivy started to get a feeling in her chest that she never felt before. She flew down but stayed back at first in case it was palace business but she was close enough to hear what they were saying. Hello Alieta, I am Walter and I have a piece of property that you may be interested in purchasing that is very close to Fae Land. Really, said Alieta. Why do you want to sell it? may I ask. Well it has no one living on it and is somewhat barren but I figured you would need the extra room soon seeing how popular Fae Land has gotten. Plus the magic here might spread there and make things quite nice. The feeling in Ivy's chest got stronger so she started to walk towards Alieta. The armed sprite saw Ivy walking towards them and told Alieta. How nice Ivy is back, said Alieta and waved her over. Ivy went beside Alieta and said nothing, just stared at the man. Hi pretty girl, I was telling Alieta that there is a piece of land near here that she may want to buy and I was going to show it to her. Your lying, said Ivy. Alieta looked at Ivy and said, "Mind your manners please". He is a liar and that is not what he really looks like, do not let him touch you. Ivy pushed Alieta back and got between her and the man making a very scary looking face. I don't understand girl, I am a businessman and just want to offer a good deal on some land. Your a liar and you are no businessman, said Ivy, You come near Alieta and I will scratch your eyes out. Alieta could believe the change in Ivy all of a sudden but then the man's face changed to anger and went to walk away to his horse but suddenly he turned and tried go back to Alieta. The sprite raised her bow and got in between Alieta and the man and said one more step and I will kill you. I don't understand, said the man. You are evil, said Ivy and she started to get very mad and scary looking. Get lost now, said Ivy. Alieta ordered some armed guards to escort Walter out of Fae Land. There will be no need for that he said and both him and his horse vanished. Ivy hugged Alieta and would not let go. Okay Ivy, how did you know he was lying and was some kind of wizard. Ivy let go of her and said, I didn't know I just felt it. It was too strong to ignore, said Ivy. I knew he was evil and lying and wanted to kill you. Then Ivy hugged Alieta again. Just then Ginger and Viridian reached the palace grounds and noticed something was wrong. They ran over to where Alieta was with Ivy holding on to her plus now there was several armed sprites there that flew down from above. It is okay now Ivy, he is gone now and these sprites won't let him harm me, said Alieta. Go inside and get cleaned up for lunch. Okay said Ivy and went into the palace. What the heck just happened here? asked Ginger. I don't know but I am pretty sure Ivy just saved my life, said Alieta.

Really, what happened? asked Ginger. Well a man rode up and as usual a sprite flew down and followed him. When the man got off his horse not far from me the sprite asked him what he wanted. He told her he was here on business. The sprite let him approach me but stayed behind the man. Okay that all sounds pretty normal, said Ginger. Yes so did I, said Alieta. He said he wanted to sell me some land close to Fae Land but then I saw Ivy so I waved her over. It looked like something was bothering her. She came over and stood beside me. When the man continued to talk to me, Ivy got mad and called him a liar and he wasn't really a businessman. I told Ivy to mind her manners but Ivy told him to go away or she would scratch his eyes out. She even pushed me back some. Ivy said that, our kind loving Ivy threatened him? asked Ginger. Yes but that's not all, said Alieta. The man looked mad but turned around and headed towards his horse but suddenly turned and came towards me again. This time Ivy got in front of me and got very scary looking. The sprite raised her bow and arrow and got between us and the man. I told the sprite to call down some more sprites and escort him out of Fae Land but he said there will be no need for that and then he vanished along with his horse. So he must of been an evil wizard then, said Ginger. That is my best guess, Ivy did say that wasn't what he really looked likes, said Alieta. If he was a wizard then best I call Merlin, he might know more about who it was. You two go in and check on Ivy, I told her to wash up for lunch. How was she when the wizard was gone, asked Viridian. She seemed just fine as soon as he vanished, said Alieta. Will you be okay out here? asked Viridian. Look up, there are at least twenty sprites circling around above me, said Alieta. No one is getting close to me, said Alieta.

 Alieta called for Merlin and he appeared quickly. Well glad to see you again Alieta, how can I assist you? asked Merlin. Well the strangest thing just happened with me and Ivy, said Alieta. Do I know this Ivy? Did she do anything wrong? asked Merlin. No you wouldn't of met her yet, she is a forest sprite that arrived here not long ago, said Alieta. Really a forest sprite I have never had the pleasure of meeting one yet but I have read they are very timid beings that live in the forest and can talk to trees, said Merlin. Well Ivy is far from timid and lives in the palace now, said Alieta. She was able to tell that a man I was talking too was lying and said that he didn't really look like what we all saw and called him a liar. Then she told me not to let him touch me but when the man went to grab me the guard stopped him and he vanished like a wizard along with the horse he came in on. I have never seen her get so mad so fast before. Actually I have never seen her mad ever. Where is she now, asked Merlin. I told her to get ready for lunch so she is in the dining room with Viridian and Ginger now, said Alieta. Hmm interesting, well forest sprites can get very angry when threatened and quite scary looking. But how she knew that the man was not who he seemed to be is puzzling. Could you if she is finished lunch have someone bring her out so I can talk to her? asked Merlin. Alieta sent an elf in to get Ivy. We are going to need Gabriel also, said Merlin, She will know how this Ivy was able to know this man was evil. Well Gabriel did tell me that Ivy could read people a bit but nothing like this, said Alieta. All the more reason to have her talk to her too, said Merlin. Fist I want to meet Ivy and talk to her a bit. Well here she comes now, said Alieta. Hi Alieta, am I in trouble? asked Ivy. No dear not at all, I want you to meet an old friend of mine, said Alieta. Ivy looked at Merlin for a moment. Your Merlin, then greatest wizard of them all and a good wizard too, said Ivy. Why yes you are right, said Merlin. You look old but you have a young heart and a very white soul plus you have no secrets, at least no bad secrets, said Ivy. Merlin chuckled. You are a remarkable girl Ivy, can we be friends? asked Merlin. Yep I always have room for more friends, said Ivy with a smile. Good, now Gabriel needs to talk to you about what happened out here not too long ago. Is that okay? asked Merlin. Sure, I like Gabriel she is my friend too, said Ivy. Have you always been able to sense evil, asked Merlin. I have always been able to tell if someone is good or bad but this time I wasn't even close and I felt his evil inside me, said Ivy. Remarkable, later we can talk some more and I will show you some magic tricks, said Merlin. Ivy got a big smile on her face. I love magic! said Ivy. 

Okay time to call Gabriel because as far as I know, only an angel can see anyone's soul, said Alieta. Merlin called for Gabriel and in a few moments she appeared. Yes Merlin, what can I do for you? asked Gabriel. Go ahead Alieta tell her what happened, said Merlin. Well we have a new development with Ivy and I need your help with this one, said Alieta. Oh my is she okay, asked Gabriel. Oh she is great, she just saved my life that is all, said Alieta. Gabriel's eyes opened wide. How did she do that, asked Gabriel. She sensed evil in a man and went all scary looking at him and he ended up vanishing like a wizard, said Alieta. That is very odd, she shouldn't be able to sense evil just if someone is good inside, said Gabriel. She just read Merlin and found him to have a white soul also, said Alieta. Hmm, her inner energy is developing much faster than I expected but are you sure she saw Merlin's soul?, asked Gabriel. Find out for yourself, said Alieta. Gabriel went to Ivy and took her away from the other's. So Ivy I hear you did a very good thing today, said Gabriel. Yep we went swimming at Sandy Lake then Starlite gave me a ride to her place where I met Colin and played some then I scared something evil away from Alieta, said Ivy. My you have had a busy day today so far, said Gabriel. So tell me, how long have you been able to sense evil and read people deep enough to see if they have a white soul. Well I have been able to read people that deep for a long time but it was just today when I was flying back from Starlite's place and saw Alieta and a man standing outside of the palace when I got this weird feeling in my chest. Did this feeling hurt at all? asked Gabriel. Nope but I could tell something was bad close by, said Ivy. Then what happened? asked Gabriel. I flew down beside Alieta and heard the man lying to her and what I saw in him was evil and not a businessman like he said he was. So I called him a liar and scared him away, said Ivy. How did you do that? asked Gabriel. Like this, then Ivy made the scary face like she did with the evil man. Pretty scary, right. I am really good at making scary faces and funny faces too, said Ivy. Then she stuck her tongue out and touched her nose with it and went cross-eyed. Yes I see that, said Gabriel. Now I want to check inside you to make sure everything is fine so I need to touch your chest with my hand. Is that okay? Yep, I like it when you touch me, said Ivy. Gabriel smiled then placed her hand on Ivy's chest for at least a minute. I can see what you are seeing, Ivy began to sing out. Really, what is that? asked Gabriel. Memories, my memories. I can see some of your memories too, said Ivy. You can. What do you see then? asked Gabriel. I see you at home with another pretty angel I think but she has no wings for some reason. She was trying to cook supper but the two of you are not that great at cooking, Ivy told her. I think you two are good friends. Okay that is enough and Gabriel then took her hand off her chest. So do you see anything now Ivy. Nope but I can if I wanted to but I don't unless you ask me too because I don't look at personal stuff in people, said Ivy. Really so you don't need to touch someone to read them deep? asked Gabriel. Nope not at all, don't even need to be close, said Ivy. See that elf over there. She is coming to work in the palace and is wondering what she is going to make for supper tonight. She doesn't have a lot in the ice box to work with though so Alieta should invite her to eat in the palace, said Ivy. Do you read people you don't know all the time? asked Gabriel. Nope, never, that is none of my business but I figured you already knew what she was thinking, said Ivy. Yes well that will do, you are just fine Ivy, said Gabriel. You can go back in the palace now. But Merlin promised to do some magic tricks for me, said Ivy. That I did, said Merlin. Come over here and let Gabriel talk to Alieta.

Well that was weird, said Gabriel. I can always see other people's dreams and memories but never has anyone been able to see mine, plus she has never seen Mother Nature before and she was right, we have a problem cooking food. I didn't feel any anger at all in her, just lots of love and her memories were just of recent ones mostly with Viridian, Pippa and you. Has she ever gone invisible again that you know of since she became friends with Viridian. No I am pretty sure she doesn't anymore, said Alieta. She is young we all know that and she is learning easier and faster than adults do but inside is growing too and there is a very strong energy inside that won't even let me see inside. Ivy is outgoing, loves to meet new people, learn new things, she just stepped forward and defended you. For heaven's sake, she is the exact opposite that a forest sprite should be. And being able to read that elf over fifty yards away is mind boggling. I can't even do that without getting nice and close to her. Alright, so is Ivy going to be okay? asked Alieta. Okay? She is is more pure and white inside than anyone I have ever met, including other angels. I have to go back to heaven and talk to God again. Last time he told me anything about her was that Ivy is the first and there will be one more soon. What does that mean? asked Alieta. I don't know, I guess we have to wait to find out, said Gabriel. One thing I know is Ivy will never lie, even a small white lie so if she tells you something in the future believe her completely. Anyways, take care Alieta and show Ivy that palace library. She is a sponge for knowledge right now. Then Gabriel vanished. Alieta walked over to where Merlin and Ivy were standing. So how are the magic tricks going? asked Alieta. Merlin is amazing and really funny too, said Ivy. Can I go in and have some ice cream now? Yes please help yourself anytime, said Alieta. Ivy smiled. Oh by the way that evil thing is still in Fae Land just not around here anymore. You should talk to Alexa, she is super smart and will figure something out, said Ivy, then ran into the palace. She can sense evil from far away? asked Merlin. Gabriel said Ivy will never lie so if she says it is still here then it is, said Alieta.
