Prologue

Ginger decided to go swimming with the girls at the pool in the fairy forest so she went to her room and got her bathing suit while Phonixa and Repellia took Mia, Rose and Ginger to the wardrobe room. "Wow there are a lot of clothes in here," said Mia. "Yep and us two are in charge of this room, said Repellia. So over here are the bathing suits. Just pick what ever one you want to wear." "Okay," said Rose. "These are kind of sexy," said Mia. "Yep that is the way we like them, there are mostly bikinis here and one piece suits are on that rack, said Phonixa. In the fairy forest it is very private and there will be just us girls and maybe a fairy or two might join us so no worries." Mia smiled. "A swimming pool in a forest, Now I have heard of everything," said Mia."That is nothing, said Repellia. Fae Land is full of surprises, you will see." The three girls picked out what they liked best then headed over to Phonixa's and Repellia's room. "Wow this is a real nice room too, said Pixie Ginger. Big like Mia and Rose's room and very girlie." "Yep, us two sisters love this room and buy stuff from time to time to decorate it, said Phonixa. We love to shop, especially with Ginger from the palace, she gets us great deals. Ginger is in charge of the palace and orders everything for it from town." "That sounds like a great job," said Miyo. "Yep it is, said Ginger as she came into the room. It is nice to have an unlimited spending budget." They all laughed. "So you all ready to go?" asked Ginger. "Yep all set," said Phonixa. The six of them headed out and went to get their horses. Okay girls have fun yelled Alieta as they pasted her. "We will," said Phonixa.

Ginger was wondering if Rose will be able to get in the forest seeing she was a the daughter of an overlord. "I hope the forest will let you in, said Ginger. Sometimes if there is bad or destructive energy in someone then it blocks them." "I think I am all good," said Rose. "Okay then we should be all good to go," said Ginger. The six girls got to the fairy forest entrance and Ginger opened the trees then told the forest about Mia and Rose were coming in. The forest doors opened and they all walked in. "Well the forest likes you so no bad inside, said Ginger. Now it is a bit of a walk to the pool but lots to look at plus cute rabbits and squirrels come to say hi sometimes." "I see this is a very pretty forest, not like any of the forests in Cumberland," said Mia. "Yes a fairy forest is unique and very magical," said Ginger. Back at the palace Alieta was outside alone getting ready to go in the palace when out of nowhere a familiar figure appeared floating in from of her and startled her. "Hello Alieta, your not afraid of me now are you?" "Oh it's you Banshee, you just startled me, said Alieta. Plus floating like that makes you look like a bit like a ghost." Banshee smiled. "I just want to make a proper entrance, said Banshee. So long time no see, what have you been up too?" "Yes it has been a very long time and lots has happened, said Alieta. Could you stop floating in mid air. You look spooky when you do that." "Oh okay sorry dear, I am the un-dead remember. Floating is easier than standing," said Banshee.

"How's that, oh the grass here feels nice and cool," said Banshee. "Yes it is always cool feeling, said Alieta and yes that is much better. You won't attract so much attention now." "Why would you care about that? asked Banshee. You never cared before, I thought we were friends." "Well yes we are but no one here has ever heard of your kind before and have any idea how much you helped out during the great war," said Alieta. "Ya those were the good old days, said Banshee. Boy I put a lot of evil creatures in their grave back then." "Maybe good days to you but very scary for everyone else including me, said Alieta. We could of be killed but you are kinda dead already and can't be killed, well at least back then it was scary for us all." "What do you mean back then? Has something changed?" asked Banshee. "Yes lots has changed, said Alieta. Fae Land has a team of amazing heroes now that can kill just about anything evil plus God made us two amazing she devils that can destroy anything, even other devils and demons. You can't even kill them." "Really, there are two she devils here that are that powerful?" asked Banshee. "Yes and nothing evil comes near Fae Land anymore," said Alieta. "Hmm, so it is true what I heard, said Banshee. Fae Land is very safe and at peace with everyone on this continent now." "Yes, but I still have my winged army keeping a watch on Fae Land, said Alieta. Once and a while something evil shows up that needs to be dealt with." "Ya I noticed the sprites up there, said Banshee. There is a bunch of them up there watching us. They are not going to try and shoot me are they? I may not be able to die but being shot by an arrow still hurts a lot." Alieta laughed. "No they are just making sure I am safe," said Alieta.

"I better call down Jazmen to meet you if your going to be here for any length of time, said Alieta. She is the general of Fae Land's army, both in the air and the ground troops." "Oh so I better be a good girl then," said Banshee. "Yes, best behavior please," said Alieta. Alieta waved down Jazmen and she flew down fast and landed beside her. "So Alieta, we have been watching you two and she seems to be no threat to you so far, said Jazmen. Who is she, must be Fae though with those ears?" "This is Banshee and she is a Banshee," said Alieta. "A Banshee named Banshee, that is odd, said Jazmen. Kinda like Sakura I suppose. So what is a Banshee? "Go ahead Banshee, tell Jazmen all she has to know about your kind," said Alieta. "Well a Banshee is the un-dead, we are both dead and alive, sort of like a zombie but not stupid and weak and tries to eat people plus we are much better looking," said Banshee. "Well that is good to know, said Jazmen but still confusing. How can you be dead and alive at the same time?" "Beats me but that is who I am," said Banshee. "Go on, said Alieta. Keep talking." "The main thing a Banshee does, that is very annoying is when someone nearby is going to die soon we scream really loud then announce the name of the person, said Banshee. That way they can get there stuff in order before they die or get killed." "Ya that would be annoying, said Jazmen. Bet you don't have many friends." "Well your right but Alieta is my friend and we met during the great war, said Banshee. She was leading the winged army of sprites but saw what I was doing so she came down to talk to me." "Okay so Alieta is your friend but what did a death screaming Banshee do to get her attention?" asked Jazmen. "Go ahead Banshee, tell Jazmen what else a Banshee can do," said Alieta. "Do I have to? asked Banshee. I don't use those powers much anymore." "Yes Jazmen is the general and needs to know," said Alieta. "Well okay, said Banshee. Pretty cute for a general, that is for sure." Jazmen smiled. "You have powers too, what kind?" asked Jazmen. "Yes, there are three of them, said Banshee. The most useful one is that I can drop many beings and creatures to the ground at once. What ever is in my view. A second blast usually kills them all. The next one works the same but the blast sends out death and will kill what ever it hits but that takes a lot of energy for me to do." "Really, you can kill just like that? asked Jazmen. What is the third one dare I ask?" "It is more for face to face close combat, it is a death ray, said Banshee. I can only hit two beings at the same time at most but kills instantly. That one takes a minute or two to recharge." "Holy crap, no wonder you got Alieta's attention. You must of been dropping the enemy like flies," said Jazmen. "Yep and it was a lot of fun, said Banshee. The best time I every had." "So you are good and not evil at all then," said Jazmen. "Banshee's are good folk and have a pure soul. If we didn't look scary and scream from time to time we would have lots of friends," said Banshee. "you don't look scary to me, said Jazmen. A bit on the spooky side with that sheer robe and blue hair but I can get used to that." A sprite flew down and told Jazmen Ivy was flying this way. "This will be funny," said Jazmen. "Who is Ivy, asked Banshee. "The most powerful reader and prettiest girl you will ever see," said Jazmen. "Powerful reader? nobody can read the mind of a Banshee," said Banshee. "She reads more than just your mind, said Alieta. She is the Queen of all the forests and plants here in Fae Land so just relax and let her do her thing. She considers it her job when someone new shows up especially around me and has powers."

Ivy landed right in front of Banshee. "Hi Alieta, I sensed there was something different here so I came to check it out, said Ivy. She is okay but I saw Jazmen was here with you so is there any problem?" "You tell me, said Alieta with a smile. She says no one can read her." "Really, I already read her a bit, said Ivy. Her name is Banshee and that is what she is. Do you mind if I read you a bit, I only read people that I sense something bad or evil in them unless Alieta tells me to read them." "You can try but wow you are definitely a looker," said Banshee. Ivy smiled then look at her for a few seconds. "Wow you are something else, said Ivy. Alieta is your only friend and you need more plus that massive power in you must be useful but it isn't what you think." "What do you mean by that?" asked Banshee. "First you are not dead and alive like you think. You are just alive but your connection with death as you think it is, gives you that inner energy, said Ivy. Your similar to a Fae elf but with wizard like powers wizard that uses dark and white magic and yes you can be killed but not easily, because of your connection to dark magic you've just been lucky so far. You have a soul so if you were dead then you wouldn't have one but you are mortal. You can sense when someone is going to die sort of and have no control over it. That must be the connection to death I sense in you." "What do you mean I can sort of sense when someone is going to die?" asked Banshee. "No one can see into the future seeing it hasn't happened yet but somehow you get information about someone that may die soon if they don't change what they are doing, said Ivy. There is no way of you breaking that connection so long as the dark magic is prominent in you. A Banshee is everlasting but not immortal, at least that is what I see in you but just about everyone here in Fae Land are everlasting so hardly any death here anymore. You know the saying if you don't use it you lose it?" "Not really," said Banshee. "Well it is true and there is way too much white magic here in Fae Land for that connection to last long if you stay here long and don't pipe into that dark magic, said Ivy. The power you have was born in you and is not from your connection with death. Kind of like how Tempressa was born with the power to freeze things. I read your soul and a soul never lies. I like you and so does Alieta and Jazmen. You now have three friends. You want to be happy so just make more friends, that is the secret to being happy. Do you want to know anything else about yourself?" "Um no, that is quite enough Ivy," said Banshee. "Okay, back to the forest, got some magic to move around, said Ivy. She turned to Alieta and said. "Let her stay. She came here to live and really needs to, she belongs in Fae Land now." "We will see," said Alieta that was just as surprised as Banshee was. "Okay bye, see you at supper time maybe," said Ivy then she flew off.

"My God, how did she know so much about me in just a few seconds?" asked Banshee. "Not exactly sure but I told you she was good and I am told she is getting stronger, said Alieta. She is not even twenty one years old yet." "Really and flipping gorgeous, a forest sprite right?" asked Banshee. "Yep and she is loved by everyone here and she loves everyone in return, said Alieta. Ivy is a very good friend to have." "So do you think all she said was true?" asked Banshee. "Ivy never lies and she has never been wrong so yes I would say, said Alieta. So did you come here to live like she said?" asked Alieta. "Well yes I did but am afraid I wont fit in, said Banshee. I don't get to stay in one spot for too long as you can guess why. So I suppose I need permission first, is there a Queen or King I need to meet first?" Alieta smiled. "I am the Queen of Fae Land," said Alieta. "No way, your the Queen now! When did that happen?" asked Banshee. "A bit after the war. Ginger kinda set that up," said Alieta. "Ginger, who is that?" asked Banshee. My very best friend and an elf that takes care of the palace for me and many other things, said Alieta. She is a remarkable girl. You will meet her soon. She is always the first one back from swimming." Where in a lake nearby?" asked Banshee. I could use a did in the water." "Nope in a big swimming pool that the fairies made in the forest," said Alieta. "What, there are fairies here too? I have never seen a fairy before, said Banshee. Do they have magic wands and stuff like I heard?" asked Banshee. "Yes and you will meet some of them soon too at supper time. They make it for us all here at the palace," said Alieta. "It must be amazing living here all this time Alieta or is it Queen Alieta now?" asked Banshee. "Just Alieta, that is my name. The Queen part is just a title, said Alieta. So when is the last time you ate?" "At least two days ago. I have been traveling mostly to get back here from the south," said Banshee. "What! No one goes hungry in Fae Land under my watch, said Alieta. Come with me and I will get my cooks to make you something in the palace dining room." "Cooks, a palace, fairies, a super forest sprite and now a Queen. You were right when you said a lot has happened since we last talked," said Banshee. "Yes and I will tell you more while you are eating," said Alieta. "I am going home now after I tell the sprites all is good now, said Jazmen. Hopefully Jessica will cook something nice tonight." Then she flew back up. Alieta and Banshee walked to the palace and she called over an elf over to tell Ginger to come to the dining room when she gets back from swimming. "Okay, will do Alieta. Who is the new girl?" asked the elf. "This is Banshee, she will be living here in Fae Land now, said Alieta. Just not sure where yet." Okay cool. Hi Banshee, welcome to Fae Land, I love your blue hair, said the elf sat on the steps. "Is everyone that friendly here?" asked Banshee. "Yes, the people here are very friendly as you are beginning to see. Come it is time to feed you," said Alieta.

"Okay just follow me, said Alieta. The dining room is this way." "Wow it sure looks a lot different inside, said Banshee. From the outside it just looks like big old building." "It is old but inside Ginger had it all fixed up like this. She has a crew of elves that maintain the palace," said Alieta. "Ginger must be smart too then," said Banshee. "Yes, very wise old girl. Even older than me," said Alieta. "So old looking then?" asked Banshee."Not at all, very cute actually, said Alieta. The magic here keeps everyone young looking also. Ginger was one of the first elves to arrive in Fae Land before it was even called Fae Land. Okay here we are so just take a seat." They both sat down at the table. "What would you like to eat?" asked Alieta. "Anything, said Banshee. I haven't had a sit down meal for months." "Okay then my choice then," said Alieta. She whispered in the elf's ear and she went back to the kitchen."You know I have never actually been inside Fae Land, said Banshee. Just outside fighting. Is it a big place?" "Yes very big. There are four additional separate provinces in Fae Land plus Eden and a bunch of forests, said Alieta. Two big towns with lots of stores in them, there is lots to see in Fae Land." "Is there a lot of people living here?" asked Banshee. "We can't keep track of the population because new people come all the time, mostly pixies, said Alieta. They number in the thousands plus some new elves and humans show up from time to time." "I best stay away from the humans, they tend to die sooner than elves," said Banshee. "Not so much in Fae Land even humans live much longer and never get sick. They stay in there own section of Fae Land north of the Fantasy Pixie Forest," said Alieta. "Okay that is cool then," said Banshee. "Here you go," said the elf and gave Banshee a nice big cheese burger and a strawberry milk shake. "This looks great, said Banshee. Thank you so much dear"." It's our pleasure Miss. My name is Cathy, what is yours?" "Banshee, I have always been called that." "Very cool name, well nice to meet you Banshee," said Cathy. Then she went back to the kitchen. "So polite and friendly and pretty too," said Banshee. "Ivy always says everyone in Fae Land is pretty and she is correct, said Alieta. White magic brings out the best of all people." "Yes Ivy, I still can't get over how amazing she was," said Banshee. "Believe me Ivy has surprised me many times since she got here a couple of years ago, said Alieta. Now eat up and I will tell you about our heroes and some of the other special people that live here."

After Banshee was finished eating the elf came and took the plate and glass away. Alieta finished telling her about the heroes plus the special people living in the palace especially about one of the newest member Rose. "So she is a mixed breed from an overlord and a human you said, she must be very powerful," said Banshee. "I imagine so but she is very nice and her father wants me to look after her, said Alieta. He is super powerful overlord so she must have some big powers too." Just then Ginger walked in. "Hi Alieta, you wanted to see me?" asked Ginger. "Yes I wanted you to meet Banshee," said Alieta. "Okay, Ivy came to the pool and filled me in about Banshee. It seems she has a special interest and liking with her, said Ginger. Some of the stuff she told me I didn't understand but what I did get is you need to be living here now." "Really, but I barely know Ivy, said Banshee. We just met and it wasn't for long." "Well she sure knows you, said Ginger. She must of read you." "Yes that she did and told us things that I didn't even know about Banshees, said Alieta. So you know she needs a place to live and the palace is full so it is up to you to figure this out for her. I am going outside to enjoy more of this lovely day. Once you are done here take her to the wardrobe room and pick out something new for her to wear. That outfit is a bit too sexy even for around the palace. It is more like an evening gown Then come back outside so she can meet some of the girls." "Okay will do," said Ginger then Alieta left the dining room. "Well, so you are Ginger, said Banshee. Alieta said you were very cute but didn't say you were very pretty and sexy too." "Well thank you for saying that, said Ginger. All us girls at the palace like to dress to show off. It is all in good fun." "I wish I could look pretty," said Banshee. "Ivy thinks you are and so do I though you could have your hair worked on a bit, said Ginger. It is a bit messy right now but Pippie can fix that for you." "Who is Pippie?" asked Banshee. "She is one of the fairies, she loves styling peoples hair. So lets get down to business," said Ginger. Now you need a house built seeing there are no empty ones left. Do you have any money?" "I have some but not enough to pay for a house," said Banshee. "Well all you need is to pay for the permit first then we can make a payment plan' later, said Ginger. House in Fae Land are not that expensive." "Okay how much is the permit?" asked Banshee. "Sixty five dollars," said Ginger. "Okay I can afford that no problem," said Banshee. "Good now it will take three or four days to build so I will have to find you a temporary place to stay until it is ready. The fairies will make furniture for you so you won't need to worry about that," said Ginger. "Fairies will do that for me?" asked Banshee. "Yep, they love doing magic and making people happy. Now I will take care of everything else for you, said Ginger. Lets go upstairs and get you into something new like shorts and a t-shirt for now."

"Okay in here there is lots of choices, Repellia and Phonixa have everything sorted in here. Have a look around and see what looks good for you," said Ginger. "It's like a clothing store in here, said Banshee. Where do I start?" "Over there is all the summer clothing and bathing suits. That is the best place to start, said Ginger. I am going to my room to get something to fix your hair a bit." "What's wrong with my hair?" asked Banshee. "It is all messy and at the back it is tangled and knotted. I need to shorten it and brush it out some, said Ginger. You said you wanted to be pretty so clothing and hair is where we will start." "Okay, you know best seeing you have great looking hair," said Banshee. Ginger smiled then left the room. Banshee looked around and after a bit she found and nice top and shorts in a colour that matched her eyes. She put them on and they fit perfectly. Ginger came back with scissors and a brush. "Now that looks perfect on you, said Ginger. Very good choice. Now sit down on this chair and let me get to work on you hair." Ginger tried to brush out the knots first but that didn't work so she started to cut the knots out and shorten the back quite a bit. Now she could brush the hair but it had very little body to it. "Okay that is the best I can do, said Ginger. Later you can get Pippie to do something with it but I think it looks much better now. Pippie is the best at fixing hair with her wand. She can make it what ever colour you want add body or make it curly, just about anything you want your hair to look like." "Really she can do all that too?" asked Banshee. "Yep she has fixed a bunch of people's hair here. She is the best, said Ginger. Now lets go outside and wait for the girls to get back from swimming." Once outside Alieta was very impressed with how much better Banshee looked. "Ya Pippie will fix her hair but it is much better now," said Ginger. Yes it is, I think it looks very pretty just like that," said Alieta. "You did this Ginger?" "Yep, I have cut and styled quite a few elves hair over the years, said Ginger. I may be no Pippie but I get no complaints."

Repellia and Phonixa just rode by to the stable. "They will be back here soon. Looks like they decided to leave their bikinis on seeing it is so hot today," said Ginger. In a few minutes they came out of the stable and headed towards the palace. "Okay here comes the two sisters, said Ginger. Be nice to them both. They are very sweet and innocent nineteen year old girls." "Wow are they twins?" said Banshee. "Yep but always remember Phonixa loves red and always paints her nails red, said Ginger. Repellia usually wears blue clothes and has blue nails mostly but she likes all colours. I am going to get a messenger to go to Cumberland so we can get things started with the house. So when are you going to pay for the permit." "I left the two gems in my vest pocket in the clothing room," said Banshee. "Gems, how big are they?" asked Ginger. "Not that big, about the size of the top of my thumb," said Banshee. "Okay, I get them and take them to the treasurer but I am sure they are worth a lot more than sixty five dollars, said Ginger. I will be back in a bit." Ginger left just as the sisters got back to the palace. "Hi Alieta, is it okay if we go talk to Banshee? asked Phonixa. Ivy told us a bit about her and said she is okay." "Yes you can but she is very self conscious as to how she looks, said Alieta. The way you two look right now isn't going to help things. Well we all decided to keep our bikinis on today while it stayed hot out, said Repellia. She looks fine from here and cool looking hair." "Yes Ginger fixed it quite a bit," said Alieta. "Come on Repellia, lets meet another new girl," said Phonixa. They both walked over to Banshee where she was trying her best to not stare at these two beautiful young girls walking towards her. "Hello Banshee, I am Phonixa and this is my sister Repellia. Ivy said you were very nice and we always trust Ivy. Your not spooky looking at all like Ivy said you thought you were. What was spooky is when Tara kicked that Wyvern that I thought was dead on the ground while I was getting a closer look at it and it's head moved and eyes opened. I screamed and almost peed myself, actually I think I did a bit. Now that was scary." Banshee started to laugh. "Ya that would even scare me. "Wow you two are so beautiful. Everyone I have met here so far is so beautiful," said Banshee. "Your not that bad looking yourself, said Repellia. Hey Phonixa, look at the abs this girl has. Wish I had abs like that." "Ya, you must work out right?" asked Phonixa. "Not really, I just move around a lot, said Banshee. "You must be very strong then, said Repellia. We are not that strong but we are very fast runners." "Yep, Repellia can move things with her mind also and I can make fire balls in my hands and throw them, said Phonixa. Not very big ones yet." "Really, I didn't know humans could do that kind of magic," said Banshee. "Ivy and Alieta said we must be high breed humans or something," said Phonixa. "Miyo and Rose will be here soon. They want to meet you too. They both are new here also and live in the palace with us. So once you get settled in you should go shopping with us once we save enough money, said Repellia. We just love to shop especially with Ginger. She gets the best deals." "Here they come now, said Phonixa. Lets go to the dining room and have some ice cream sis." "Good idea, said Repellia. Remember shopping, you have to come with us and no excuses." Then they headed back to where Alieta was.

"She is not scary looking at all Alieta, said Phonixa. Kinda pretty and those abs are hot!" "Yep and we are taking her shopping with us when we save enough money, said Repellia. Hopefully Ginger will go with us again too. She gets us great deals." "Okay so you like her then?" asked Alieta. "Yep she is awesome and said we were beautiful, said Repellia. You have to like some that says that about us. We are going in for some ice cream. See you in a bit." They started to walk in the palace. "We should start doing sit ups, said Phonixa. I want abs like hers." "Ya me too, said Repellia. Then we will look hot too." "Ginger passed them as she came back out of the palace. "What were those two talking about? asked Ginger. I heard something about abs?" Alieta smiled. "They want tummy abs like Banshee. They said she was hot and pretty. I think they are going to start doing sit ups so they can look like her." "Really, those two are already super pretty and hot," said Ginger. "Yep I know but what ever else they talked about made Banshee laugh and is smiling now, said Alieta. I have never seen her smile and laugh before." "So things are going very good from the sounds of things," said Ginger. "Yes but here comes Rose and Miyo. They are new today and things may be different when a overlord daughter and a human meet a Banshee for the first time, said Alieta. Stay with me and lets watch together." Both Miyo and Rose jumped off their horses and waked over to see Banshee. "Wow so this is what a Banshee really looks like, said Miyo. I read about Banshees in a book at the library in Cumberland. I love folklore stories. My name is Miyo and just got here today. Rose is sharing a room with me in the palace. So you are the singing girl? asked Banshee. Alieta told me a bit about everyone that was staying in the palace." "Yep I sing and so does Ginger. The pixie Ginger not the elf. She will be here soon too. She was talking with a bunch of fairies in the forest when we left." Banshee turned to Rose. You are very quite, how come, asked Banshee. "Well I have never heard of a Banshee before and when Ivy said you had very powerful powers, that kind of scares me," said Rose. "Really, but Alieta said you are a very powerful to, fathered from a very powerful overlord," said Banshee. "Ya I know but I have never been around anyone with strong powers before. Just stupid witches, they are more talk than powerful" said Rose. "I see, well I am no match to you pretty girl. Your father can destroy a sun in one blast as Alieta told me. You could probably wipe out an entire town. I can't do anything like that, said Banshee. Besides I have no reason to use my powers anymore. It is very peaceful here." "Oh okay. I wouldn't hurt anyone here either, said Rose. Come Miyo, lets bring the horses back to the stable." "Ya sure, nice meeting you Banshee," said Miyo and they got back on the horses then rode off.
