Prolog
A year has passed and Alexa was completely healed with not even a scar to show for from her arrow wound plus Diego was living with her having a good life together. Tempressa was visiting her team members and kept them up with the news from the the north downtown area that had all the best places to shop. Ktara was having lots of dinner parties with the team and many of her elven friends too, though Tempressa was her most frequent visitor and usually around dinner time too. Mother Nature visited her little sister more frequently and found out why she was going to Ktara's place a lot. Tempressa was a terrible cook. They all got news that Oaklyn and Taiyo were now proud parents of a hundred and five pound baby boy centaur. Titus was teaching Paisley how to use a sword and in return she was teaching him some self defence moves. Archie was still living the good life and helping people that needed it and was really enjoying his life with Cinthia. None of them had heard from Alieta in a long time and Alexa planned to visit her soon just to talk and probably eat seeing Alieta loved to feed people. All seem great in this Land Of Fae but that could change at a drop of a hat.
Chapter 1
The Cry For Help
Alexa was enjoying a nice breakfast with Diego when there was a knock on the door. She opened the door to see two winged elves that looked very sad and scared. She invited them in and asked why they looked so troubled. The first sprite told them that Alieta needed the team's help again and the other elf exclaimed, "It is an emergency!" So what is happening? asked Alexa. Alieta instructed us not to tell you so that she could fill you in herself and see if you will take this task, said the sprite. We will always help out Alieta when ever she needs our help, said Alexa. The two sprites let themselves out then took flight back to the palace. I wonder if Oaklyn and Taiyo would come also seeing they are new parents now and may not want to be put in danger, said Alexa to Diego. Well best we can do is ask them, said Diego. The two of them got dressed in their battle gear and started to head towards Tempressa's place first. When they arrived, Alexa knocked on the door and when Tempreassa answered it, Alexa saw her with a book in her hand. Alexa tried to grab it from her but Tempressa hid it behind her back. Can I see what you are reading please? asked Alexa. Oh very well, said Tempressa as she looked a bit embarrassed. She handed Alexa the book and it was titled "Basics On How To Cook". Really, you can't cook? asked Alexa. Nope, I am useless in the kitchen, said Tempressa. My sister told me my cooking was awful and no matter what I cooked it pretty much all tasted the same, burnt. We have never tried your cooking before so it probably is a good thing we did not, said Alexa. Tempressa saw they were in full gear and knew something was up again. So what is going on? Does Alieta needs us to go on another quest? asked Tempressa. We don't know what is going on, the two sprites messengers would not tell us. She sent two messengers this time. Hmm, things must be really wrong, so give me my book back and I will get ready for the trip. This will not take long, said Tempressa.
They headed out towards Ktara's place and when they got there they found her taking a nap on her couch. Alexa woke her up and told her that we are all needed again at the palace. What is going on? asked Ktara. Two sprites were sent this time and as usual they wouldn't tell me anything, said Alexa. Hmm two sprites with wings you say. Then we better get going because the trouble must be on the ground. At least that means there will be no dragons to deal with probably, said Ktara. She got dressed in her gear and then the four of them headed out to see if Oaklyn and Taiyo would come also. I hope so said Ktara because they are awesome in battle. Did you hear about their baby, asked Ktara. Yes I did, that is why we are unsure whether they will come with us, said Alexa. I am glad I am not a centaur because I would never want to give birth to a baby that big, said Ktara. They laughed then started on their way. When they arrived the two centaurs were waiting for them already with swords. A small centaur was hiding behind his dad. Colin is a bit on the shy side right now when he meets new people, said Oaklynn. Colin I want you to meet my best friends that would never hurt you. With that a very cute male centaur child came out from behind Taiyo with a smile on his face. Well hello, aren't you the cutest little boy, said Alexa. Hello, said Colin then hid behind Taiyo again. So we were unsure that you would want to come with us with the child and all, said Alexa. That is no problem. There are three elves that come over all the time to play with him and baby sit Colin. It takes the three of them to care for such an energetic centaur, said Oaklyn. The elves are here now so we can leave immediately. Mom and dad turned to Colin and gave him a kiss then he asked "Where are you going?'. Well we are going to go see the queen, said Oaklyn. Wow, can I come please? asked Colin. Not this time son but maybe when you are a bit older, said Oaklyn. Now go inside where your three friends are waiting for you. Okay! and he galloped into the house. How did you know we were coming? asked Alexa. Well things have been a bit strange around here lately. Large flocks of birds were flying around and animals were just passing by for some reason, said Taiyo. Plus we saw those two sprites in the air headed towards your place. Well yes we have been summoned, said Alexa let's head out and get Titus, said Alexa.
Alexa was riding beside Ktara and whispered to her "Did you know that Tempressa can not cook?". Hmm, so that is why she comes over all the time when I am making supper. Then she smiled, that's okay I love that Ice Queen and she is really good at keeping the drinks nice and cold and flashing my ice box. Alexa just laughed. Ya she keeps my ice box full of ice too, said Alexa. Now the six of them were off to get Titus and Paisley. When they arrived the two of them were having a picnic together on their front yard. When they saw the six of them approach, they knew something was up. Alexa went to them and said the entire team was needed. Things have been a bit weird around here lately with all the birds flying around squawking but we thought nothing of it. Are you up for the job Paisley? asked Alexa. You never know when we will need a pretty blonde with a lethal body. You bet, said Paisley. I can use a sword now too, I am not a pro yet but I am pretty good. I have been teaching her how to use a sword and she has been teaching me some attack moves, said Titus. Check this out. Titus got up and did a nice round house kick in the air. How did you like that Alexa? Now that is impressive and will come in handy too. Paisley packed up the picnic blanket and food then the two of them went inside to get ready. Soon they came out and were ready to join the team. I must admit that is the sexiest battle ready outfit I have ever seen, said Alexa. So you designed that yourself? Yep, I design most of my own clothes, said Paisley. The seamstresses at the palace made this one with some special protection qualities but I met an elf that makes regular clothes and sells them to the clothing store in the west town. Anything I design and she makes I get fifty percent of the sales. Nice! Very smart thinking, said Alexa. Yep my girl is not just another pretty face, said Titus. Okay lets get going, I am sure Alieta is waiting for us, said Alexa.
