Chapter 2

The Plan

When they got to the palace they saw Alieta sitting on the steps that was odd for her plus there were wild animals everywhere just walking around. This is the weirdest thing I have ever seen, exclaimed Alexa. Even small animals of prey are just walking around or laying down on the grass. Yes very odd and they are ignoring us too, said Ktara. Alieta jumped up and smiled at them all. Glad you all could make it, said Alieta. Come inside the palace so we can talk. She then got them all to sit at the table and told an elf to get us all a cup of tea please. So how is little Colin doing? asked Alieta to Oaklyn. I am sorry that I have not come over to see him yet but I have been very busy here. Well not that little anymore and growing fast plus full of energy, said Oaklyn. He never was little, said Ktara. He was born heavier than me. So what is with all the animals out there? asked Alexa. Do you need us to send them back to the woods? Oh no, not at all, they are all welcome and safer here, said Alieta. "Safe from what?" they all asked. Well the Black Fae have invaded the two forest on either side of the palace. Black Fae? asked Alexa, I never heard of them before. Yes I would figure that, said Alieta. They are from the very far south and live on the high mountains in caves. They are normally a very peaceful clan and I know the Queen well, that is a very kind ruler like myself. I sent two of my best sprites into the west woods to see what was going on. They stayed high up in the tree tops and over heard some Black Fae talking that said, "I hope he doesn't hurt our queen while she is imprisoned". The other Black Fae said that it makes sense for him to imprison her and use her as leverage to make us obey him. One of the sprites flew down and asked them who he was. He calls himself Ranger The Evil Overlord and he is big plus has very strong magic, said the Black Fae. We have to do whatever he says or harm will come to us and may kill our queen. From what we have heard there is no chance of us defeating Fae Land's defences so this is just suicide for us. Okay, let me tell Alieta what is going on, said the sprite then they returned to me with the news that shocked me but I had heard of the name before, said Alieta. He is no overlord. Overlords are celestial and he is probably just an evil wizard. A wizard, we have never dealt with a wizard before, said Alexa. Are they powerful? Oh yes exclaimed Alieta, they are much stronger than witches and warlocks and can be kind or evil, said Alieta. This one is obviously an evil one. I will gather my armies and you Alexa will lead half of them into the west forest then Oaklyn and Taiyo will lead the rest into the east forest said Alieta. Try not to hurt any of them though because they are really a peaceful folk. Besides these Fae are slow moving yet very strong. Coming down from the high mountains where the gravity is much lighter, slows them down in the stronger gravity on the ground. It also makes their skin harder. They are the exact opposite of the Blue Fae. Have you heard from Safire at all? I have never seen her before but I have read stories about her and the army she has below us plus she is very beautiful, said Alexa. Just then she heard from behind her a voice say well thankyou young warrior. Alexa turned and saw Safire then went down on one knee. Please get up, I do not want people to bow to me, said Safire. I like the gesture though. So you must be the girl that Alieta has told me about that leads this team of heroes. Alexa, right? Yes this is Alexa, said Alieta. Hmm, small but very strong and likes cutting off the enemies heads. My kind of girl! said Safire.

 Alieta then told the team to go outside after finishing their tea and sort through the troops while Safire and her taked. While outside they all separated the ground troops into two equal groups and told them what Alieta said to them them about trying not to harm anyone. Then Alexa and Taiyo sent one messenger into the west and east woods to tell them that they were not going to fight them so long as they don't attack. Well that is good but what choice do we have? asked one of the Black Fae. I do have a good idea seeing that they we are so slow compared to your elves. We should battle but fake fighting. Just sword fighting with no arrows. We have no archers so everyone should be safe. That will make the overlord content for at least a while. Do you have a plan as to how you are going to defeat him yet. Not yet but we are working on it said the messenger. I heard that Alexa was very good at making plans though. We have heard of Alexa from our queen. Alieta and her message each other frequently. Really so you know she is the leader of the team of heroes, asked the messenger. Oh yes, our queen told us about her and how she is amazing with a sword and very smart. Okay, hold your positions for as long as you can. I am going to tell Alexa your idea, said the messenger. She went back to Alexa and Taiyo and told them the plan the Black Fae elf suggested to them. That is a great idea, said Alexa. Back in the palace Safire told Alieta that she will put together a small army to help out, but will make them promise not to harm any of the Black Fae. When Safire came out of the palace Alexa told her the plan they had in place. Very good idea Alexa, said Safire. It was not my idea, it was one of the Black Fae that came up with it. Well who would of know that they were that smart too, said Safire. Safire then went back to the tunnel that lead underground to gather some troops. Alieta told Alexa that just in case things go south for them she will place her best archers outside of both forests. That may not a good idea seeing that I have first hand experience on how that can turn out if this wizard appears, said Alexa. He probably can deflect the arrows back at them. Oh ya, said Alieta, then I place this task in your able hands. One of the messengers told me the Black Fae were not black at all, said Alexa. They were brown. Yes I know that but the queen figured that The Brown Fae sounded weak so Black Fae it became, said Alieta.

Alexa and Taiyo could hear the Black Fae troops were moving closer so the two of them ordered their troops to advance. They met at about a hundred feet inside each of the woods. Alexa ordered her troops to advance and start the plan. Alexa began fake fighting with one of the Black Fae. I am surprised at how good you are at using a sword, said Alexa. We have a lot of free time on our hands up in the mountains so we started sparring together to get better at the skill, said the Black Fae elf. That is where we got the idea of fake sword fighting. They all continued to sparr for a while until Alexa heard a loud sound and saw a black whirlwind appear then the Ranger the evil wizard appeared looking very mad. All you troops are useless to me, said Ranger. Get out of my way, I will take care of this myself. Alexa ordered her troops to fall back to the edge of the forest and get the rest of her team to join her fast.

When the eight were together again Alexa quickly came up with a plan to fan out and put Tempressa in the lead to distract him with her special skills. She started to throw ice bolts at the wizard that he stopped easily. He then started to throw fireballs at her that she dodged. Tempressa set up a huge thick ice wall in front of him that took some time for him to melt with fire. This gave the team a chance to encircle him but he noticed them so he started to spin letting out lighting charges in all directions. The team hid behind trees as two bolts hit two big trees that made them bend over broken near the base of each tree. Alexa signaled to Taiyo and Oaklyn to kick the two trees at the same time so they would fall down on the wizard. He he saw one coming and was able to blast it but the other one came crashing down on him. This stunned him for a few moment and gave the team a chance to regroup. Tempressa froze him but that just lasted a moment and she wished that her sister was here to help. From behind she heard a voice say, "You called little sister?". You just gotta stop doing that, scaring me from behind, said Tempressa. Mother Nature just smiled and said how can I help? I need you to get his attention somehow so we can come up with a new plan to get rid of this wizard, said Tempressa. Well how well is the team at throwing swords that stick in whatever they hit. Alexa came forward and said we are the best and can hit a target from one hundred feet. Good, then while you see that I have his attention you get within that hundred feet and get ready for my signal, said Mother Nature. What is the signal? asked Alexa. I will start a whirlwind of energy around me that you can't miss and neither will he. For a few moments he will be focused just on me so that is when Tempressa has to drop the ice shield then everyone throw the swords. I don't think I can throw a sword like that yet, said Paisley. Don't worry we have got this, said Alexa. Then Mother Nature disappeared and reappeared high above the wizard. The wizard saw Mother Nature and Tempressa put up another ice shield in front of her and the team got behind her. Tempressa began to walk closer to the wizard then stopped when she figured everyone was in range now. Mother Nature then went into a translucent state that made it impossible for anything to hit her. What kind of beings are you that dares to challenge my great powers, yelled the wizard. Just two sisters that don't like evil wizards, said Mother Nature. Then she started the energy whirlwind and the wizard was now ignoring Tempressa and wasn't watching where his fireballs were going. Tempressa dropped the shield and everyone threw their swords at the unexpecting wizard.
