Chapter 5
The Knighting
After the huge feast was over and the Black Fae started back on their long journey back home, Alexa and the rest of the team were summoned to the queen's throne room. There they found Alieta sitting on the throne wearing her crown again. She stood up and asked Tempressa to approach her. Alieta pulled out a necklace that had a gold circular emblem on it from a box that Ginger was holding then placed it on Tempressa and announced with her arms in the air to the group. " I now pronounce you a knight of my court. She did the same with all the rest of them, saving Alexa for last. I have something special for you my leader. She reached into the chest and pulled out another chain that had a bigger emblem made of platinum and put it on Alexa. Then Alieta reached in the box again and pulled out a ring. She placed it on Alexa's finger and told her that this ring, once you rub it will allow you to become translucent like Mother Nature can do. Actually it is a gift from her. While translucent nothing can touch or harm you even though you can be plainly seen. She then raised her arms in the air once again and announced "Your are now the head knight of the court". They turned to the all the elves watching and they all began to cheer.
After the ceremony was over they all said their goodbyes. Mother Nature stayed for a while to talk to Alieta about the old times when she was mortal. They all got on their horses and headed on home. On the way home they met the two trolls again. Alexa got off her horse and talked to them. She pulled out the the luck coin and told the male troll she wanted to give him back the luck coin that he gave her. This coin did me well but now it is time to return it to the original owner. He smiled and said I was missing it lately. Then he saw the necklace she was wearing. That is beautiful. I cannot read what it says though, what does it mean? asked the troll. The queen made me a knight of the court, said Alieta. The two of them immediately got down on one knee and bowed. You must be very important to the queen to become a knight, said the troll. Yes we all are but there is no need to bow to me, we are friends remember, said Alexa. Plus we are all equals in this great Land of Fae. Yes we are friends, said the troll, what is your name then? I am Alexa and what is yours? I am Trog and this is my beautiful woman Fabby he said with pride. Alexa smiled at them both then she got back on her horse. Bye for now Trog and Fabby, and rejoined the group. Once Alexa and Diego got home they went straight to bed for a good night's sleep. In the morning they looked out the window and saw everything seemed to be back to normal again. Well you did it again Alexa, said Diego. You lead the team to another victory. We all did it, said Alexa. I just hope we don't run into anymore evil wizards any time soon. So are you ready for breakfast. I think I will wait a bit, I am still a bit full from that feast yesterday, said Diego. I will jog around a bit to work up an appetite. I think I will join you, said Alexa. We can jog all the way to Tempressa's place and see if she will make us breakfast, said Diego. Well maybe we should pass on that just yet, said Alexa but there are some nice eateries downtown, said Alexa with a smile.
