Prologue In the previous story, it ended with a girl named Mirela also known as the Gypsy Queen showing up in Fae Land after Ginger returned from Granada with a big shipment of new radios. Alieta found Mirela to be unusual but very nice plus found out she knew Mother Nature. When Mirela went into the palace to get something to eat in the dining room Alieta called for Mother Nature to find out more about this girl. Mother Nature told Alieta that Mirela was a real gypsy and was a wonderful person who loved nature and making people happy. I start this story with Mother Nature, seeing Mirela in the dining room after not seeing her in some time. Both Mother Nature and Alieta went into the dining room and saw Mirela eating a burger and fries. "Now that looks good," said Mother Nature. Mirela turned and saw Mother Nature then stood up to greet her. "Mother Nature, you are looking more beautiful every time I see you," said Mirela. "See isn't she a gem, said Mother Nature to Alieta. Thanks and you are looking great too. So you came to Fae Land finally." "Yes, it wasn't as far as I thought it was, said Mirela. You were right so many pretty happy people here." "So Aleita, what is with the children's table and chairs?" asked Mother Nature. "That is for Koko and Trigger, they are precious pets that Gabriel sent down, said Alieta. No children in Fae Land yet." "There will be soon, said Mirela. Sally in the kitchen is a great cook and has a baby cooking too." "Sally came out of the kitchen. Thanks for the compliment but how did you know? I am not even close to showing yet," said Sally. "Well, you are glowing, and haven't stopped smiling since I saw you here. That is two sure signs that you are going to be a mother," said Mirela. "Really it is that obvious. Penny is pregnant too, said Sally. We are hoping we have the babies on the same day so we can celebrate their birthdays together." "So you are pregnant, said Alieta. Should you be working? Shouldn't you be laying down and resting?" "Being pregnant doesn't mean I can't do anything, said Sally. It is good for me to be working and getting exercise. After my shift is over we are going to town and start buying baby clothes and supplies. We are going to need lots of stuff." "She is right, motherhood clicks in, and very little else matters than taking care of the baby, said Mother Nature. So how long are you staying Mirela? I know you like to move around." "That is up to Alieta, said Mirela, I am tired of going from one place to another. It is about time I settled somewhere." Mother Nature nudged Alieta. "What?" asked Alieta. "You're up, what are you going to tell Mirela?" asked Mother Nature. "Oh ya. You can stay here as long as you want," said Alieta. "Oh goodie. I have money to buy a house see," said Mirela. She pulled out a sack of money from under her skirt and dumped it on the table. "You see lots of gold coins and gems. People kept giving me money for telling their fortune, said Mirela. I never asked for money but I never refused it. A girl has to eat you know." "And eat very well I bet, said Alieta. That is a lot of money." "Enough to buy a house here?" asked Mirela. "Oh yes, you could build several new houses with that much," said Alieta. "Great, I just need one though, said Mirela. So you two going to eat? My treat." "The food is free here," said Sally. "I know, just joking," said Mirela. Mother Nature sat down with Mirela and ordered a burger too. They talked for a bit while eating. Alieta was talking to Sally, still concerned that she may need a lighter job to do while she was pregnant. "You really don't know much about elves being pregnant, do you?" asked Sally. "Actually, I know nothing about what it is like, said Alieta. I have never seen a baby elf, just humans and you are the first that I have seen that is going to have a baby." "Well it is a wonderful feeling knowing I am going to bring a new life into the world," said Sally. "Yes I imagine it is," said Alieta. "Don't worry about me, I am just fine doing what I am doing now," said Sally then went back into the kitchen. "Well that was delicious as usual, said Mother Nature. I have to get back to work, I'll see you later. Then she vanished. "So you all finished?" asked Alieta "Yep, good for another hundred miles," said Mirela. "What do you mean? asked Alieta. "Just gypsy talk. Gypsies travel around a lot," said Mirela. "Okay, let's go back outside," said Alieta. "Sounds good," said Mirela. "When outside in front of the steps Alieta saw Ivy flying towards the palace probably because she saw someone new with her. "Okay here comes Ivy, she is very special to me and Fae Land, plus is an extremely powerful forest sprite," said Alieta. "Powerful how?" asked Mirela. "Well, lots of ways but she can read people better than anyone and always checks out new people that she sees with me," said Alieta. "She can read people like my fortune?" asked Mirela. "No not like that, said Alieta. You will see." Ivy flew over to Alieta and Mirela. Hi Alieta, who is your new friend, is she okay?" asked Ivy. "Yes she is very nice and will be living here in Fae Land with us," said Alieta. "Okay, nice to meet you Mirela, have to go to work now," said Ivy. "Wait, Alieta said you can read people and always check out new people. Why didn't you read me?" asked Mirela. "Already did a bit but if Alieta says you are okay then I don't need to go any deeper inside you, I did see what you name was though" said Ivy. That's right but you didn't even touch me, how could you of read me some already?" asked Mirela. "Like I say Ivy is very powerful, said Alieta. She doesn't need to touch you." "Wow, so what did you see?" asked Mirela. "Not much, I didn't have to go very deep, said Ivy. Just that you are Mirela and a gypsy, I don't know what that means. You have no secrets and your soul is white plus you like to make people happy," said Ivy. "Wow you are good, said Mirela. You got all that as soon as you met me?" "Yep, so what is a gypsy?" asked Ivy. "They are people who don't like to stay in one place for too long. Kind of like travelers going from one town to another trying to make money but usually tricking people into believing they have a gift and can see their future but they need to eat and it has been a way of life for them for many generations. I don't do that, lying to people for money is wrong, and don't want to travel around anymore, said Mirela. I am old enough now to make my own decisions so I chose to go out on my own." "I see, so you are not a gypsy anymore?" asked Ivy. "Yep, once a gypsy, always a gypsy, just like you will always be a forest sprite and a very pretty one, said Mirela. I am just a different kind of gypsy who can see the goodness in people." "So you can see that I am good, then?" asked Ivy. "Oh, I see lots more than that, You have the biggest and most beautiful aura I have ever seen. You just glow with kindness and love. You must make a lot of people happy here," said Mirela. "I do my best, said Ivy. Okay, I have to get to work, bye Alieta, bye Mirela the good Gypsy Queen. I'll be back at lunch time." Then Ivy flew off. "What an amazing person, what kinda of work does she do?" "Well she is Queen Of The Forest and land but mostly she controls all the magic in Fae Land," said Alieta. "She is a Queen and can control magic. Talk about a special person and very easy on the eyes too," said Mirela. "Yep as I told you Ivy is very special," said Alieta. "So tell me, where would you like to build your new home? asked Alieta. You have a few selections. There is the elf village or the new development area on the grassy plains or in Haven where most of the humans live. There is also the north town where humans live also." "Well Haven is a nice name, not sure about the grassy plains, said Mirela. Elf village would be nice but I suppose just elves are allowed to live there. Wherever it is closest to here I think. I would have to walk around some to see." "The elf village is the closest and not restricted to just elves," said Alieta. "Okay, where is the village?" asked Mirela. "It is the biggest and most populated of all the areas, said Alieta. It stretches along the south end of the west woods and forest over there, all the way past the waterfall mountain then there is an open area where Lulu lives. After that is the town where all the stores are. You should take your horse. It would speed things up." "I am in no hurry, I like to look around, said Mirela. Those woods are not far away. That way I will meet people and get to know the land better." "Okay go for it, said Alieta. I have some things to take care of in the palace anyway." "Okay, I will see you later then Mirela started walking past the palace and towards the west woods. She was a bit past the palace when Keiko flew up to her. "Hello, I haven't seen you here before," said Keiko. "I just got here this morning. My you are green like Ivy, are you a forest sprite too?" asked Mirela. "Nope, I am a Garson Fairy. Ivy is way more powerful than me, said Keiko. She can't do magic with a wand like I can but she does a lot of other things. "A fairy, Alieta didn't tell me there were fairies here," said Mirela. "Yep, there are two Garson fairies and a bunch of regular fairies in the fairy forest way over there and then there are a bunch of fairy nymphs in the Untamed Forest, plus Sapphire who is the most powerful of all fairies," said Keiko. "So lots of fairies then," said Mirela. "Yep, sure is but not as many as pixies, there are thousands of them," said Keiko. "Pixies too? What an amazing place this is," said Mirela. "So my name is Mirela, what's yours?" "Keiko, my partners name is Amelie. We are kind of like sisters. So where are you off to?". "I was just going over to the elf village, said Mirela. I am thinking of building a house there." "Good choice, they are really friendly there and close to the candy factory," said Keiko. "There is a candy factory here too?" asked Mirela. "Yep Jessica's candies, best in the world I think, said Keiko. I was on my way to get a few candies from Alieta. I have no money, fairies don't usually need money but I forgot to get some money from Pixie Ginger at the treehouse. I can't copy Jessica's candies with my wand. They never turn out as good. Candies are free for fairies at the candy factory but I don't like going there just to get candies all the time." "Well I have money, if you show me where it is I will buy some candies for you," said Mirela. "Really, boy am I glad I ran into you, said Keiko. Okay, let's go, it is not far from here. Just before Sally and Penny's houses." "The Sally that works in the palace kitchen?" asked Mirela. "Yep she sure does," said Keiko. "She is having a baby and so is Penny you know," said Mirela. "Really, babies. I have never seen an elf baby before, said Keiko. Actually, I don't remember ever seeing any kind of baby before." "Well you will have to wait eight months, said Mirela. That is how long it takes to grow a baby in a girl." "Wow that is a long time, said Keiko. Okay follow me to the candy factory." When they reached the candy factory, Jessica was just opening up and going in the kitchen side door. "Hello Keiko, who have you come here with?" asked Jessica. "This is Mirela, she is new here and wants to build a house in the village," said Keiko. "Oh how nice, a new neighbor. New people are always welcome in the elf village. So what can I do for you Mirela?" asked Jessica. "I want to buy some of your candies, said Mirela. Keiko has no money and I offered to buy her some if she showed me the way here. She said they are the best." "Keiko, every time you come here I tell you that fairies get candies for free here," said Jessica. Ya I know, but I don't want to be a pest," said Keiko. Don't be silly, you only take a few at a time and I love seeing you," said Jessica. Jazmen took me to see the tree house you and Amelie created. It is an amazing work of architecture, said Jessica. Here let me go in and get you a box of candies to share." Then she went in the factory. "You built a tree house?" asked Mirela. "Well Amelie and I did with our wands, said Keiko. We made it for Pixie Ginger plus us too." "Can you make regular houses too, that would sure speed things up." "Maybe if we can find a spot to put it. Lots of old houses there already," said Keiko. Jessica came back out. "Okay, here you go, a box of assorted hard candies. Now Keiko try to remember you can come here anytime to get a box of candy for free and that goes for Amelie too," said Jessica. "Okay, I will try," said Keiko. Then Keiko walked off while opening the box of candy. She knows I love having her come to get candies, she just forgets, said Jessica. This is the tenth time she has come here and forgot candy is free for fairies." Mirela chuckled. "Fairies are so useful but are also pretty nutty and forgetful at times. God bless their souls, said Jessica. See she has already forgot you came here with her. You better catch up before she eats all those candies, said Jessica. Your kidding she is that forgetful? asked Mirela. No but she is focused on the candies now and fairies love sweets big time," said Jessica. Mirela ran after Keiko. "So Keiko can I have a candy, please? "Oh ya sure you bought them," said Keiko. "They were free silly," said Mirela. "Oh ya I forgot," said Keiko. "Already, you just got them" said Mirela. "I know, sometimes fairies forget stuff but we always remember eventually, said Keiko. Here try one of the red ones, they are my favorite." "Wow, these are good," said Mirela. "Yep I told you, they are the best," said Keiko. "Okay let's look around, said Mirela. Most of these places look lived in." "We have to go closer to the woods and down there further, said Keiko. Most of the elves like to be closer to the palace or town. I remember because Amelie and I did some exploring when we first came here before we met Pixie Ginger and made the tree house. It is really big but you wouldn't like to live there because you can't fly. There is a really big ladder you would need to climb to get to the front door." "Ya you're right, I don't like climbing ladders, said Mirela. Okay then let's get close to the woods then. I prefer to be closer anyway. More nature and small animals." "Yep and monkeys too," said Keiko. "Monkeys too, that is so awesome, said Mirela. Yep, Fae monkeys that talk. "They were supposed to live in the pixie forest but the pixies kicked them out, said Keiko. Monkeys can be nuttier than pixies." "Okay, what about this place. It is run down and looks empty," said Mirela. "Okay let me ask the people next door, they should know what is going on with it, said Keiko. Here you hold the box of candy before I eat them all and we have to go buy more." Mirela took the box and just shook her head. Keiko walked over to the house not far from them and knocked on the door. "Hello Keiko, nice to see you. What's up?" asked the elf. "Well, my friend Mirela over there holding the box of candy from Jessica's factory is looking to buy a house and we want to know if that old one by the woods is for sale?" asked Keiko. "Really, well that old log house has been empty for years and as far as I know it is unsafe inside. Ginger was going to have it torn down a long time ago but I guess she forgot about it," said the elf. "Well I can fix it and make it look new again," said Keiko. "I doubt it but if you can, you will be doing Ginger and me a favor. It is just an eyesore as it is now," said the elf. "Okay let me see what I can do with it," said Keiko. "Can I watch? asked the elf. "Sure just stay out of the way in case something goes wrong," said Keiko. "Okay I will just sit out here," said the elf. Keiko went back to Mirela. Well it is in bad shape and Ginger at the palace wants to tear it down but if I fix it you probably won't have to pay much for it." "So can you fix it?" asked Mirela. "Yep, I do amazing architect work, remember. Just stand back and let me get to work," said Keiko. She made her wand appear and then began to circle the log house from the bottom to the top. Around she went several times and in about five minutes the outside looked like new. "That was awesome, said Mirela. It looks great now." "Not finished yet, Pixie Ginger loves her big deck so I will add a big deck for you too," said Keiko. She flew around again with her wand and soon a big deck was made all around the house and off to one side with new steps leading up to the front door. "That looks beautiful," said Mirela. "Yep, the outside is done but now I have to do the inside. I will call you when it is safe to come in," said Keiko. In about fifteen minutes Keiko opened the front door and yelled out to Mirela. "Okay, you can come in now, it is safe," said Keiko. "Wow that didn't take long, thought Mirela. She went up the deck steps then in the front door. Keiko was standing in a big empty room. "Wow this is a big room, said Mirela. I can dance in here." "This is the living room, said Keiko. Normally I would have made some furniture too but when I read you I got nothing. It is like you have never lived in a house before." "I haven't, said Mirela. Gypsies always lived in trailers and covered wagons or slept outside under the stars." "Oh okay so let me make a couple couches that match the walls and table for you in this room, said Keiko. Maybe a chair too, you need a place to sit and rest. You can always get more stuff later." "Okay but not too big, said Mirela. I like all the space in here." "Okay, where do you want the couch?" asked Keiko. "Over by the window, said Mirela. "Okay, one log couch coming up. There now a table in front of the couch I suppose." "Okay, you know best," said Mirela. "Well if you have a drink or are reading a book you need something to put them down on," said Keiko. "Ya that makes sense," said Mirela. "Okay there, now the chair, maybe a shorter couch incase you have friends over, said Keiko. I am not even going to ask you where you want that, said Keiko. I know where to put it but you can always move it later. There, all done with this room." "It is perfect, said Mirela. Lots of open space still and can even have a couple of people over." "Okay, I get it now, said Keiko. You like the open space and very little clutter. Do you want a carpet?" "No yet, I need to see some different types and patterns first, said Mirela. I might buy a little table later to put in that corner way over there." "Okay then, let me show you the kitchen and then we will go upstairs to the bedroom," said Keiko. "Now over here is your kitchen, said Keiko. "All I have to do in there is make some cabinets, fix the sink area, add some cupboards, then a stove and ice box." "You can make all that stuff too?" asked Mirela. "Yep, no problem, said Keiko. Just watch." Keiko once again made her wand appear then first fixed the sink area and added a cabinet above. Then she made the stove and finally the ice box. "There, now you can cook once you buy some food in town. You do know how to cook, right?" asked Keiko. "A little bit, just basic stuff," said Mirela. "Well you can get Ktara and Tempressa to show you. They taught Pixie Ginger how to cook, said Keiko. I suppose you will need a kitchen table and a couple of chairs too. Let me put it back here out of the way. There, it is a bit tight where you have to do the cooking but that is the way this house was built. Now let's go upstairs to where you will sleep at night." "Lots of room up here also for you, said Keiko. You will need a bed so what end of the room would you like me to put it?" "Let's see, probably over there close to the window, said Mirela. That way I will get fresh air when I sleep." "Okay sounds good, said Keiko. There a nice big bed now some sheets and a top blanket, plus some pillows. I'll give you two end tables too in case you need to put stuff on them or candles on top plus books or a glass of water. There, all done. How do you like the bed?" "Very nice and big, said Mirela. I have never slept in a real bed before. Just on a cot or in a sleeping blanket on the ground." "Sounds like you had it rough growing up," said Keiko. "Not really, I was born a gypsy and raised as one too, said Mirela. It was all I knew until I went out on my own." "Kind of what Amelie and I did before we came to Fae Land." "Why did you come to Fae Land?" asked Mirela. "Well, Amelia was chasing Doctor Shadow, a nasty being that captured fairies and I was trying to find Amelie who liked to take off on me a lot back then." "So did you get him?" asked Mirela. "Didn't have to. Ivy and Alexa came up with a plan to trap him. Ivy's sister ended up pulling Shadow's hand off that was holding the magic cane then Viridian sliced him up into pieces with her spear." "Cool, nice story, said Mirela. Does stuff like that happen here often?" Nope, not anymore. Fae Land is too well protected and word got around not to even think about coming here to cause trouble." "Really, there was a sprite with a bow and arrows flying above me when I was coming here," said Mirela. "There was probably more than one, said Keiko. Just out of sight especially when Alieta is outside. There are over two hundred sprites that fly over Fae Land night and day making sure everyone is safe. So I suppose you should go tell Ginger you found a new house," said Keiko. "Not yet, I want to talk to that girl next door, said Mirela. She looked very surprised when you were doing the outside of the house." "Okay I have nowhere to go right now, said Keiko. Where did you put the box of candies? On the floor in the living room by the door, said Mirela. "Okay good. I'll grab the candies then we will go talk to her. I bet she has some questions to ask," said Keiko. Back at the palace, Alieta just got back outside and was going to sit on the couch when Kendra flew up to her. "Well hello Kendra, haven't seen you in a while. How are things in the fairy forest?" ask Alieta. "The fairy forest is fine, it is me that is not," said Kendra. "Why what is wrong? asked Alieta. "I am just bored and tired of hanging out with pixies, said Kendra. The fairies are okay but all they do is work most of the time. Pixies can drive a girl crazy after a while. I don't want to go back to Samantha's forest, I like Fae Land much better." "But I thought being a forest sprite, you are needed in that fairy forest to keep the forest happy and magic strong," said Alieta. "They don't need me, Ivy has that place so full of magic it could make the planet spin backward," said Kendra. Alieta laughed. "You're probably right, so what do you want me to do for you?" asked Alieta. "I don't know. I was thinking of living out here in the elf village where there are lots of people to talk to and do stuff with, said Kendra. I don't have much money but maybe Ginger knows someone that I can rent a room from. Then I can get a job somewhere and live like a normal person." "Well first Kendra you are far from normal, you are a beautiful forest sprite that can talk to trees and plants and make them grow faster and better," said Alieta. "I guess but that doesn't help me get out of the fairy forest," said Kendra. "Well there might just be a way come to think of it," said Alieta. "What way is that?" asked Kendra. "Well, this morning I met a very interesting girl that traveled here from the south somewhere. I found her to be a bit odd at first but she was very kind and pleasant to talk to. She knows Mother Nature and Ivy liked her too when they met," said Alieta. "Well if Ivy liked her then she must be okay," said Kendra. "Yes, she is more than okay and is quite wealthy from what I saw plus loves to make people happy, said Alieta. The thing is she is a gypsy but she is looking to buy a house in the elf village." "Well I don't know what a gypsy is and I don't care, said Kendra. Where is she now?" "Last I saw her she was walking towards the elf village, said Alieta. Might be hard to find a place i there though. Ginger told me that most of the good homes are sold now and just old run-down houses are left. She may have to have a new house built." "So seeing she walked, is she an elf?" asked Kendra. "Nope, she is human and around your age, pretty and in very good shape, said Alieta. Into nature big time. You two may be good sharing a house together." "Okay so how can I recognize her, asked Kendra. There are always lots of people walking around in the village." "You can't miss her. She has red hair and wears a red scarf on her head. Very pretty long red skirt with a red top," said Alieta. "Okay I will find her, said Kendra. Thanks." Then Kendra flew off towards the elf village. "Odd how things seem to work out these days," thought Alieta.
