While Alieta was entertaining both Fillina and Jannice in the dining room, outside Koko and Trigger went back up to their bedroom to have a little nap so they would be fresh for supper. A couple of elves walked towards Jessie to keep her company. Before they reached Jessie. Tillia came running around the corner and stopped in front of Jessie. "Hello little girl. I haven't seen you here before," said Tillia. "A unicorn! Nobody told me there was a unicorn here too," said Jessie. "Well, there are two here. I am Tillia and belong to Ivy's sister Sara and there is Casper, who belongs to Safire, said Tillia. What is your name?" "Jessie, I was playing with Sakura plus Koko and Trigger but Sakura had to go home then Koko and Trigger went into the palace to have a nap. My Mom always makes me have an afternoon nap but she is in the palace with Alieta right now. I am old enough now to not need a nap during the day." "How old are you?" asked Tillia. "Three and a half, said Jessie. "So now you have no one to play with," said Tillia. "That is okay, said Jessie. I am a bit tired too." "I see, so do you need to have a nap also?" asked Tillia. "No, I just need to lay down for a bit and rest," said Jessie. "Well, why don't we both lie down together and rest? I just ran all the way here from home," said Tillia. "Okay, we can rest together, that would be nice then Jessie yawned. Tillia laid down then Jessie snuggled up to her. In less than a minute Jessie closed her eyes and fell fast asleep. An elf walked over and sat down beside Tillia. "Isn't she a little angel," said Cassy. "Well, I just met her but yes she is very cute, said Tillia. I have never met a child so young." "Neither have I, said Cassy. They came all the way from Haven and Jannice must of had to ride slow all the way. As soon as they got here Jessie has been playing hard and having a great time. I am surprised she lasted this long." "It is nice to see someone this young at the palace," said Tillia. "Well rumor has it that Sally who works in the kitchen is pregnant," said Cassy. "Really, that is great, said Tillia. I thought there were no male elves in Fae Land." "Well, there are some but I haven't got lucky yet to meet one. I think they are all taken now. There is more coming next week though." Really, where are they coming from?" asked Tillia. "Some place called Triland, said Cassy. Alieta made some deal with the Queen there I think. It would be so nice to have my own family." "Well maybe you will be lucky next week," said Tillia. "Ya maybe, we will see," said Cassy. "Look over there, said Tillia. There is a male elf looking at us. I thought you said they were all taken?" "I thought they were," said Cassy. "Well give him a nice smile then wave at him," said Tillia. "Do you really think I should?" asked Cassy. "Look around you, there are other elves here, said Tillia. You better do something before someone else does." Cassy looked at Cole and smiled. Cole waved at her and suggested she come over to him. "He wants me to go over there, do you think I should?" asked Cassy. "How else are you going to know what he wants? asked Tillia. I will take care of Jessie. She is not going anywhere fast." "You're right, won't hurt to see what he wants," said Cassy. She got up and walked over to Cole. "Hello, you wanted to talk to me?" asked Cassy. "Yes, I didn't want to go over there and wake up the little girl," said Cole. Cassy smiled. "She is a cutie, I have been watching her ever since they first got here, said Cassy. Full of energy and playing nonstop, she finally got worn out and went to sleep." "I have been watching her too, said Cole. I couldn't hear her from where I was standing but she always had a smile on her face and so did those around her. She is adorable," said Cassy. "I took her to the washroom when she first got here then to the dining room to give her a glass of juice. All she did was talk and ask lots of questions. She is fun and funny to listen to." "Yes children always ask lots of questions, said Cole. They want to learn about everything they see." "So do you have kids of your own?" asked Cassy. "No, but there are a lot of children in Triland, said Cole. I always wondered what it would be like if the kids were in charge of everything and not the adults. Things would be very different like more amusement parks with lots of things to play on plus many more ice cream parlors and candy stores. One thing is for certain, there would be no stupid fighting over land and power." "That is so funny and you are probably right, said Cassy. Would you like to come sit with me a Tillia and talk some more. We can wait for Jessie to wake up then you can see how funny she is." "I would love that," said Cole. A man rode into Fae Land by the stable that had a boy and a couple of bags with him. Phoebe came out to take his horse to the stable. "Hello, I have come to bring your horse to the stable. My look who you have with you. What is your name?" "This is my son Kalvin and I am Andrew. Kalvin doesn't talk too much." "Well, nice to meet you, Kalvin and Andrew. Are you here to see Alieta?" asked Phoebe. "Yes I believe so, said Andrew. Well I don't see her outside so just tell someone that you need to talk to her," said Phoebe. She started to lead the horse into the stable but stopped then smiled and waved at Kalvin then continued to the stable. "She is pretty Dad," said Kalvin. "Yes she sure is," said Andrew. In the dining room, Fillina just finished telling her version of what happened at the Land Of Pure Evil. "Alieta you need to go outside and greet Andrew. Be very nice to him and I am not telling you who he brought with him. I'll leave it as a surprise." "I am always nice to people," said Alieta. "Yes, I know but be extra nice to him, you will see why," said Fillina. "Okay, so are you two okay for a bit without me?" asked Alieta. "We have a big bottle of wine on the table, said Fillina. We will be more than okay." Alieta smiled and then left the dining room. When Andrew and Kalvin reached the palace. He put down the bags and told an elf that he was here to see Alieta. "Okay I will tell her you are here, said the elf. Wait there she is now, hello cutie," she said to Kalvin then left. "Hello there, how can I help you?" asked Alieta. "Well, I am not sure yet, my name is Andrew and this is my son Kalvin." "Well hello Kalvin. How old are you?" asked Alieta. Kelvin held up four fingers. "I am sorry but Kalvin doesn't talk much to people he doesn't know well," said Andrew. "Okay so has he always been like this?" asked Alieta. "No, he used to be quite the chatterbox before his mother left us," said Andrew. "Oh dear, where did she go?" asked Alieta. "Well to heaven I am hoping, said Andrew. Over a year ago, she suddenly got very sick and in one week she died. Kalvin stopped talking to everyone, even me for a while. My wife took care of Kalvin while I was at work all day. She helped him learn to walk and taught him how to talk. Kalvin loved his mother very much and took our loss the hardest." "I am so sorry to hear about your loss, said Alieta. So did Katilina send you here?" "Actually no, said Andrew. You see she posted notices in each town asking for whatever single young men wished to travel to Fae Land there was a surplus of pretty girls, they were to deliver a note with their name and age on it to the palace. Needless to say, the list of names became long very fast. She then posted four randomly picked names then meet with them for a bit and sent them on their way. I happened to overhear her telling Nathan the directions to Fae Land." "So you came here on your own then," said Alieta. "Well yes, I had to do what was best for Kalvin. For the last two weeks, I have been having the same dream over and over again with my wife telling me to move on and find a nice girl to help take care of her son. Every night the same dream with her telling me how much she loved us and she would always be with us. When I told Kalvin about this dream he started to talk a bit more and eat better. I don't know anything about Fae Land but I had to go find out at least so a few days ago I packed up some necessary supplies and personal things and headed out with Kalvin who didn't want to go at first but when I told him this is what his mother wanted us to do, he changed his mind some but still was a bit reluctant. So here we are and I am not sure what I am to do other than possibly find a kind girl that will help me raise Kalvin." "Now I know what Fillina was talking about," said Alieta. "Who is that? asked Andrew. "Just a very special person I know," said Alieta. Alieta got down on her knees. Now Kalvin I am going to tell you a true story and I need you to listen very carefully okay." Kalvin nodded his head. "Now a long time ago there was a very happy couple and together they made this very pretty baby girl. They loved this baby with all their heart. As she grew up, they both taught her things and played with her all the time. The girl loved her parents very very much. Now one day everything changed for this girl. Both of her parents died at the same time giving up their lives to save their daughter's life from something evil. Now this happened about four years ago, around the same time you were born. She was only a teenager. Do you know what that is?" asked Alieta. "Yes," said Kalvin. "Now she got so sad that she stopped talking to everyone, all of her friends and she had a lot of friends. She began to hide so that she didn't have to see anyone anymore. She got so mad inside of herself and hated everything that she became very dark inside and then suddenly she was able to go invisible so that no one could ever see her again. Now God does things in mysterious ways that we can't understand at first. Keep that in mind," said Alieta. "Okay," said Kalvin. "She decided to leave the place she lived for her entire life and forget about all her friends who still loved her and were worried about her and went to a different place where she started being bad to the people that lived there. At least that is what everyone thought at first. She would stay invisible and push or trip people then become visible and took off laughing. Everyone there began to hate her except one person that saw some good still deep inside this girl. Everyone started calling her The Trickster. One day that person that saw some good in this Trickster girl got together with some special friends and came up with a plan to trap this her and find out why she was being so mean to everyone. With the help of a little magic, they were able to hold on to her and bring her to the Queen to find out what her problem was. Now remember I said God does things in mysterious ways?" asked Alieta. "Yes I remember," said Kalvin. "Well, the Queen had trouble getting this very pretty girl to talk so she called out to an angel that was a friend of hers." Kalvin's eyes opened wider. "The angel told the girl no one is going to hurt you here and I am here to help you get better. The angel touched the girl and the magic from the touch of an angel relaxed the girl then she started telling everyone her sad story. She began to cry but kept telling her story and soon everyone else around her started to cry. Now after she finished her story she saw that everyone was crying around her. The girl started saying sorry to everyone and she would not be bad again. Just please stop crying. I can't stand to see people sad, said the girl, I was just playing and trying to have some fun again. Now God and the angel knew what happened to this young girl and the thing that the one person that saw in her to still good was actually love. Love never dies and is the strongest power in the universe. God knew that this girl needed to leave her own home and go to a place where love was everywhere so he made it so she would find such a place. Do you know where that place was?" asked Alieta. "No, said Kalvin. "It was here, Fae Land and I was that Queen and the person that saw the good in the girl was Pippa, Queen of the pixies. The angel's name is Gabriel, the first angel God ever created. Gabriel told the girl to tell everyone her name. She said Ivylynn but my friends called me just Ivy. Well welcome to Fae Land Just Ivy, said Pippa and gave Ivy a big hug while everyone started to laugh. Ivy saw everyone laughing and smiling which made the love in her begin to grow back again. To this day Ivy and Pippa are the very best friends with a connection that can never be broken. Soon Ivy became loved by everyone in Fae Land and she loved everyone back and is now one of the most powerful and loved girls in Fae Land. Ivy is a very special forest sprite that now can control all the magic in Fae Land and is the Queen of the forest and plants among many other things and she is one of my best friends. "Wow, so Ivy is here now?" asked Kalvin. "Yes, she is, a bit older now and very smart, said Alieta. She is always looking for ways to make people happy. "Can I meet her? asked Kalvin. "You will, she comes to the palace a lot, said Alieta. I want you to meet Jessie first. If it is okay with your father." "Yes please do, said Andrew as he wiped the tears from his face. Sorry but that was the most amazing story I have ever heard, said Andrew. Alieta smiled then took Kalvin to meet Jessie. "Hello Tillia, I see you are taking good care of Jessie," said Alieta. "Yes she needed a sleep after all she has done today, said Tillia. Cassy and Cole are watching her too." "I see that, so how are you two doing?" asked Alieta. "Doing great, said Cassy, I have been watching Jessie ever since she got here. An adorable little girl." "Yep the little ones have lots of energy," said Cole. "Hello Kalvin how are you?" "I am okay," said Kalvin. "So you two know each other?" asked Alieta. "Yes Andrew is a friend of mine, said Cole. I am glad he came here with Kalvin." Jessie opened her eyes and looked around. "Good it wasn't a dream," said Jessie. "What wasn't a dream? asked Alieta. "Being here at the palace," said Jessie. "Well I want you you meet someone," said Alieta. Jessie stood up and looked at Kalvin. "Hello, what is your name?" asked Jessie. Kalvin, nice to meet you." "Okay I am off to go see Casper, said Tillia. Nice meeting all of you," then she ran off. "Was that a talking unicorn?" asked Kalvin. "Yep but never lay down beside her to rest, said Jessie. She makes you fall asleep." "Maybe you were just tired and needed to go to sleep," said Alieta. "Well I was tired, I guess I still need my afternoon nap, said Jessie. Cassy smiled. "What do you say we go to my place for a cup of tea and some banana bread I baked," asked Cassy. "Sounds great to me," said Cole. "Bye you three, see you later," said Cassy. "Yes dido from me too," said Cole, then they left. "What does dido mean?" asked Jessie. "I don't know, maybe goodbye in a different language, said Kalvin. So what do you want to do?" "Go to the bathroom first," said Jessie. "Me too, do you know where the bathroom is?" asked Kalvin. "Yep follow me," said Jessie then they both ran to the palace entrance before Alieta could say anything more. "Well looks like they will be fine together for a while. I better go back and make arrangements with Andrew," thought Alieta. At Mika's house, she was getting bored after her stepsister went to town. She decided to ride over to Ivy's place and see if anything was going on there. She changed her shirt then went and got her horse then headed to over. When she got there she saw that Tillia wasn't home so she walked around to the front yard and saw Ivy lying on the ground. She walked over and looked down. "Ivy, are you okay?" asked Mika. "Yep," said Ivy. "What are you doing?" asked Mika. "Nothing," said Ivy. "But you are always doing something," said Mika. "Exactly," said Ivy. "Well I came over here because I was bored at home and wanted to see what you were doing," said Mika. "Now you know," said Ivy. "Okay so is it okay if I do nothing with you," asked Mika. "Sure pull up a piece of grass," said Ivy. Mika laid down beside Ivy. "Are we allowed to talk while we are doing nothing together?" asked Mika. "I guess so, said Ivy. Just as long as I keep doing nothing for an hour." "Okay, so how long have you been doing nothing so far?" asked Mika. "I don't know. Viridian will come out and tell me when an hour is up," said Ivy. "Okay so why are you doing nothing," asked Mika. "It was Viridian's idea. I am always doing something, working in the cove then going to the palace then going to Haven to check on the beacon tree then going home and checking stuff on my computer for new things then going back to the palace to see what is going on there, said Ivy. Viridian said I should take one hour a day to do nothing and just relax. She said my body and brain need the rest and I have been doing way too much lately." "Well Viridian is probably right, said Mika. Does it make you feel better after resting and doing nothing every day?" asked Mika. "Don't know yet, this is the first day that I started doing nothing," said Ivy. Mika smiled. "What are you going to do when the hour is finished?" asked Mika. "Go to the palace I think. Go say hello to the little human girl Jessie and there are two more elves there from Triland that I haven't met yet, said Ivy. Andrew and his four year old son named Kalvin." "How do you know their names if you have never met them yet? Never mind, stupid question," said Mika. Viridian came out and told Ivy the hour was up. "Hi Mika, thanks for coming over and doing nothing with Ivy, said Viridian. Do you two want to come in and have a bowl of ice cream before you start doing stuff?" "Now that is a stupid question, said Ivy to Mika quietly. Okay Viridian." They went into the house and sat at the table. "Okay here you go, a bowl of chocolate ice cream for both of you," said Viridian. "Thank you," said Mika. "So Ivy how do you feel after that rest?" asked Viridian. "I feel rested, said Ivy. After eating this ice cream I will feel energized too." "So what did you think about while you were resting before Mika came over?" asked Viridian. Mostly what I was going to do for the rest of the day and meet the two new elves that just arrived in Fae Land," said Ivy. "That is what I thought, said Viridian. Now I am not worried about your body, that is supercharged and there is magic everywhere. It is your brain that I am worried about," said Viridian. "There is nothing wrong with my brain," said Ivy. "That is what you think, said Viridian. Lately, you have been saying "I forgot" a lot more than usual. Everyone forgets things from time to time but not several times a day." "When was the last time I forgot something? asked Ivy. "Well, when I asked if you brushed your teeth this morning you said I forgot," said Viridian. "Oh ya, I forgot about that," said Ivy. "Yesterday I asked you to pick up a loaf of bread and butter for me and you came home with just the bread, said Viridian. You sleeping just six hours is not enough for a girl like you. One of these times you are going to forget something very important and something bad is going to happen and saying I forgot is not going to be good enough. You need eight hours of sleep and to shut down for one hour a day." "Okay, I will," said Ivy. "Good, you know, if you would stop letting your brain scan and read people around you and just talk to people and ask questions like everyone else does, that would eliminate half the stress on your brain," said Viridian. "How do you know that I scan Fae Land and read people around me?" asked Ivy. "Look I have lived with you for a long time. I was your first roommate, said Viridian. I know you better than anyone. I know what you look like when there are a lot of people around at the palace. The way you move and the way your eyes move. That is how I read you." "Okay I get it, said Ivy. I am going to the palace now and I am going to try my best to not scan around or read anyone there, even a little bit." "Well that is all I can ask, said Viridian. Your best is better than anyone else's best. Now off you two go and have some fun at the palace." They both left the table and went outside. "Wow, she really laced into you," said Mika. "I know and I deserved it, said Ivy. I have been feeling a bit burnt out lately, said Ivy. Not once has Viridian been wrong when she told me something about what I was doing. Viridian is like a mother to Sara and me. If she says I have to rest more then that is what I will do, said Ivy. So are you going to the palace too?" "Yep, my horse is out back," said Mika. "Okay see you there," said Ivy and flew off. When Ivy got to the palace she flew down to where Jessie and Kalvin were playing. "Hi Jessie, who is your friend?" asked Ivy. "This is my new friend Kalvin. He is an elf and a bit older than me," said Jessie. "Hello Kalvin, nice to meet you," said Ivy. "Hi, you are very pretty," said Kalvin. "Thank you and you are a handsome little boy, said Ivy. My name is Ivy." "No way, are you the same Ivy that Alieta told me about in her true story?" asked Kalvin. "I am not sure what story did she tell you?" asked Ivy. "She said you were very happy when you were young then got very sad and dark inside but got happy again when you came to Fae Land and everyone loves you now, said Kalvin. That is the short version, the entire story was a lot longer." "Ivy smiled. "Yep that was me," said Ivy. "My mom died but my Dad is still alive, said Kalvin. I was really sad for a long time but I am better now. A bit like what happened to you." "Yes it sounds like it, said Ivy. I am glad you are better now." "Yep, lots better, so do you like to play?" asked Kalvin. "I sure do, said Ivy. What do you want to play?" "Let's play Tag, said Jessie. Okay I like that game," said Ivy. "Cool, now there are some rules you know," said Jessie. "Okay, what are the rules?" asked Ivy. "Just two, first there is no flying, Kalvin and I don't have wings and that wouldn't be fair," said Jessie. "Okay, I can understand that," said Ivy. "Next, we have to stay on this area of grass, said Jessie. No going out too far passed the boundaries or under the arches over there or you a automatically IT." "Okay, so where are the boundaries?" asked Ivy. "Um not sure, they are invisible. I will tell you when you are out too far," said Jessie. Ivy laughed. "Okay, so how do we start?" asked Ivy. First Kalvin and I have to touch you then after that you have to touch one of us, said Jessie. Okay, so ready set go." Then the three of them started running around. "What is Ivy doing over there with the kids?" asked an elf to another elf. "Looks like Tag to me, said the elf. Haven't you played Tag before?" Nope never," said the first elf. "It's lots of fun, come on let's join in and play," said the second elf.
