"Andrew is going to show us the house he got for us all so I better gather the kids and get going," said Zenith. "So you are going to be living with Andrew?" asked Alieta. "Yes, he said there are two bedrooms and there are other good size rooms in it too, said Zenith. Plus there are lots of other elves there that I can meet." "Okay then. Ginger is going to send Lilly over to make some beds and stuff for you after lunch," said Alieta. "Alieta can I go into the dining room and have some ice cream? asked Mirela. We are all out already. Lilly made some for us but Kendra ate most of it." "While living with a forest sprite you will have to keep lots in the ice box," said Alieta. "Yes I know, said Mirela. "Sure go ahead, said Alieta. So Kendra, Quinn seems to be smaller than all the pixies I know. Is she small like that just for the kids?" "Nope, that is her regular size. She is a bit smaller than most pixies but she likes being her real size, said Kendra. Talk to her and find out some stuff about her, you will be surprised. I sure was when I first met her in the fairy forest. Just remember she is a pixie that does what she wants but Quinn does so much more." Quinn walked over to Kendra and Alieta. "So are you going to show me your new home now?" asked Quinn. "Not just yet, Alieta wants to talk to you first," said Kendra. "Oh okay, said Quinn. What can I do for you?" "Well, I was just talking to Kendra about how small you are and was wondering why you don't get bigger like the other pixies I know that come to the palace?" asked Alieta. "Because it hurts a bit and limits some of a pixie's movement," said Quinn. "Well, can you get bigger so I don't have to talk down to you so much if it only hurts a bit?" asked Alieta. Kendra laid down on the steps and smiled. "No, what part of "it hurts" do you not understand. Would you do something that hurts even though it doesn't matter if you do it or not?" "Well, I suppose not, said Alieta. I just thought seeing Pippa gets bigger all the time for us here that you would too." "Well, I am not Pippa and she only gets bigger because she doesn't want to be looking up so much all the time around all you tall people, said Quinn. Being small doesn't bother me at all. Actually, I think I look cuter small." Alieta looked at Kendra and then looked back at Quinn. "Okay small it is then, said Alieta, I didn't want to upset you." "Well you did a bit, said Quinn. You don't even know me and I just met you. I didn't ask you to let down your hair because it looks stupid the way you have it or put on better clothes that at least covers your butt better. No, I just took you as you are." Alieta looked at Kendra. "Listen to her Alieta. She is not finished yet," said Kendra. "Well, I don't mean any disrespect towards you seeing it was you that turned Fae Land around when it was almost defeated then became Queen and made Fae Land the greatest place in the world, said Quinn. That is what I expected from you being a hybreed sprite with greater intelligence than all the other sprites and elves. To me, you are just a child still and will do many other great things in the future." "What do you mean, I am almost two thousand years old," said Alieta. "So, I saw when sprites were just balls of energy and then eventually became winged sprites, said Quinn. I have been around almost as long as Triffies walked the planet. The only pixie older than me is Pippa. I respect you so all I ask is you respect me. I like being my natural size, I don't even like getting small unless I have to sleep or go somewhere fast. I am very intelligent with the knowledge I have gathered over the ages. Pippa even comes to me to help solve things for her sometimes. I believe I deserve your respect." Alieta sat down beside Kendra. "Well now I know what you meant when saying get to know Quinn," said Alieta. "I am sorry, I didn't mean to make you sit down but now I don't have to look up at you now," said Quinn with a smile. "No that is fine, said Alieta. I didn't know there was another pixie like Pippa. "Well I am not like Pippa, said Quinn. The other pixies listen to Pippa and will do as she says. With me the pixies come to me and ask questions about life and how to do things." "So you are their teacher, said Alieta. Now that I can respect even more with everything else you just told me." "Check out this, said Kendra. Tell Alieta how you killed that dragon." "No way, a pixie killed a dragon. I have to hear this," said Alieta. "Well the mountain killed him, I just made it happen, said Quinn. The dragon was chasing my friend Copper the eagle and wanted him for dinner I guess so I flew into the dragons ear then ripped his ear drum apart that must of hurt but more important through was it threw off his balance big time. Then I flew around and sat on his head between his eyes and began poking them with my fingers. As you probably know dragons are not that smart so while he was flying mostly out of control and trying to get me off his head he didn't notice the mountain just ahead of him. I flew off of him just as he smashed into the mountain head first, lodging his head in the hole he made on impact. He tried franticly to get loose but snapped his neck, killing him instantly leaving his body just hanging there." "Wow, where did you learn that destroying his ear drum would make him loose balance?" asked Alieta. "Merlin taught me, said Quinn. He taught me lots of stuff when he was a young man. We were friends for awhile. Lousy cook but an amazing wizard." "Well he still isn't that great at cooking," said Alieta. "So Kendra when are you going to see the house you live in now?" asked Quinn. "As soon as Mirela comes out of the palace, said Kendra. She shouldn't be long now."

Andrew, Zenith, Sarah and Kalvin reach the house that they are going to be living in. "Here it is what do you think of it?" asked Andrew. "It is big, just us four will be living in there?" asked Zenith. "Yep, all four of us, said Andrew. Now those windows upstairs is where the two bedrooms are plus there is a good size full bathroom on the top floor. The kitchen and living room is on the main floor. There is a good size backyard where Sarah and Kalvin can play." "Dad, can we go in now? asked Kalvin. "What do you think Sarah, are you ready to see our new home?" asked Zenith. "If Kalvin wants to go in then so do I," said Sarah. Okay then let's go inside," said Zenith. "Now keep in mind that the place has no furniture yet but Lilly will be here soon to make some for us," said Andrew. He opened the door and they all walked in.

"Okay this is the living room where we can relax and have friends over once it is furnished, said Andrew. We will put a couch over there and a chair close to it then a coffee table in front of the couch so we can put our feet up on it. Some end tables too. A nice carpet on the floor also maybe." "Okay you seem to know what to do, said Zenith. I don't know what most of that stuff is," said Zenith. "You will see and it will look great, said Andrew. Now over here is the kitchen. The stove and the ice box plus over there is the pantry for putting food and spices that don't need to be kept cold." "So you know how to work that stove?" asked Zenith, "Yep it is easy, said Andrew. "I don't know how to cook, said Zenith. The men did the hunting and cooking in the forest. The girls did the washing and gathered leaves to make new dresses from. Something I have to do soon because these leaves are getting dry." "Well I can cook but I will teach you, said Andrew. Zenith looked over at Sarah who had got up on the counter. "What are you doing Sarah?" asked Zenith. "Washing my feet. said Sarah. The floors in here are really clean like at the palace so I don't want to get them dirty." "There is a washroom upstairs for doing that," said Andrew. "Oh, I didn't think of that," said Sarah. "Why didn't you stop her and take her upstairs Kalvin?" asked Andrew. "Well first I wanted to see if she could get up on the counter then I watched her turn on the water with her toes and got her feet wet, said Kalvin. Sarah does funny things all the time. I like watching her doing stuff." "Well silly come with us upstairs to see the bedrooms and the washroom," said Andrew, then picked Sarah up and put her on his shoulders. "Okay, follow me up the stairs."

While they were upstairs looking at the empty rooms, the bell at the front door rang. "What is that? asked Zenith. "The doorbell downstairs, said Andrew. Must be Ginger and Lilly. Come lets go let them in." They all went down stairs then Andrew opened the door. "Hi Lilly where is Ginger?" asked Andrew. "She went to town to get some ice for your ice box, said Lilly. She told me just to go to the house that had the bell hanging above the door. I like the bell, it makes a nice loud sound. So show me the kitchen first and I will start there." "Hi Lilly. I washed my feet so I wouldn't get the floors dirty," said Sarah. "Well I flew here so my feet are clean," said Lilly. "Okay you can come in then," said Sarah. They all went into the kitchen then Andrew told Kelvin to take Sarah to the backyard and play. "Just stay out back and no running around bothering the neighbors." "Okay Dad," said Kalvin. "Okay so first let me make the pots in pans in the cupboards then the cutlery, said Lilly. I will make you plates and a bunch of cups and glasses too. There, now for the kitchen table. What kind would you two like?" "Something like the one in the palace but with stronger log legs. Sarah likes to climb up on things," said Zenith. "Okay and six matching chairs," said Lilly. "There are just four of us," said Zenith. "Well there is lots of room in here so two extra for company," said Lilly. "Okay you know best, said Zenith. Lilly waved her wand and made a nice sturdy kitchen table set. "There how is that? asked Lilly. "Perfect I think, nice and long too, said Zenith. What do you think Andrew?" "I like it," said Andrew. "Good, so let me stock your ice box and pantry with food and supplies then we can move to the living room," said Lilly.

"Now what kind of living room furniture do you two want," asked Lilly. "What do you think Zenith, stay with the forest look?" asked Andrew. "Ya, okay I like the forest," said Zenith. "Okay, so a couch and coffee table plus a chair?" asked Lilly. "Yes but end tables and ottoman too for the chair," said Andrew. "Okay, that will be easy, said Lilly. Stand back some please." Lilly made her wand appear again and waved it around and the living room furniture appeared. "I like this furniture," said Zenith, then sat down on the couch. "Now the coffee table has two drawers in it and the end tables has one for putting things in," said Lilly. "Putting what into them?" asked Zenith. Well like this blanket for you two snuggle up under," said Lilly then made and nice big comfy blanket appear on the coffee table. "Now you're going to need some light in the evening so a candle lamp on each end table. Would you like a carpet?" "Yes a brown one please, said Andrew. "There now let me finish it off with a nice picture with fall trees in it. "Now bedrooms are a bit more tricky so I need to read each of you some to get the feel of what both of you want for each room, said Lilly. You first Andrew, give me your hand." She took Andrews hand and read what he was thinking of. "Okay, that is nice, okay your turn Zenith put out your hand." Lilly looked up at Zenith and smiled. "Really, that is what you want?" asked Lilly. "Yep, you decide what is needed," said Zenith. "Okay then you two relax down here and I will go upstairs and get to work," said Lilly.

"So first their bedroom", thought Lilly. "First a nice sturdy bed, blankets and pillows. A bit on the fancy side but I think they will both like it. Two matching nightstands on either side of the bed. Let's see, a bench at the end of the bed will be nice that opens up to keep extra bed sheets and blankets in. Now a nine-drawer dresser on the far wall and a wardrobe over there beside the nightstand. Something is missing. They don't need a chair in here with the bench. Oh yes, I am not sure if Zenith needs one but Phonixa and Repellia like theirs. One vanity with a stool, something every pretty girl should have. They can buy their own carpet and pictures seeing they will have to agree on what they want but the room looks great to me. Now for the kid's room. This will be harder seeing I never made one before."

Lilly went into the other bedroom and looked around. "Well, where do I start? Maybe two single beds beside each other. Pink blankets for Sarah's bed and blue for Kalvin. That doesn't seem right. The beds are too close and they will probably just start talking to each other instead of going to sleep. So in the forest, I sleep above Tulip on the next big branches above her and that works for us. There is no tree in here though. I suppose I could make something out of wood and then put Kalvin's bed above Sarah's but it would have to be strong. There that looks better. Now put a ladder going up to the top bed. What if Sarah gets up when it is dark, she might bang her head on the ladder. That is no good. Let me turn the top bed and put the ladder at the end of the bed, out of the way going up to the top bed. Well, that is better. Got this big space to cover now so maybe a headboard and a small dresser beside her bed. Okay, that looks great now except I need to put wood guard rails around Kalvin's bed so he doesn't roll out of bed when he is asleep. Good now a dresser for Kalvin by the ladder. Lots of room in here still though. Well, Phonixa had me make another dresser for her because of all the different clothes she has so I will stick another dresser over there. Sarah might like to buy a lot of clothes too as she grows up. There, that is the best I can do in here. Lilly sat on the side of Sarah's bed. What do I need to do next, she thought. Oh ya, the bathroom. That will be easy, just soaps and some towels."

 After Lilly had the bathroom all set up she went back downstairs where Andrew and Zenith were still in the living room. "Okay all done, said Lilly. Your bedroom is really nice in my opinion. I think you two will like it. I even put a vanity in it for you Zenith not that you need one but every pretty girl should have one. The kid's room was the hardest seeing I have never created furniture for children before but I figured it out and got it done. The bathroom is set up and ready to be used now also." "Wait so Kalvin and Sarah are in the same room and Zenith is in my room?" asked Andrew. "Well it is both of your rooms but that is what she wanted when I read her so talk to Zenith about it, said Lilly. I need to get back to cove so just let Ginger know if you need anything else." Then Lilly let herself out. Zenith walked up to Andrew nice and close and put her right arm around his back then began to rub her finger up and down his chest with her other hand. "You did say you wanted to have a big family, right?" asked Zenith. "Well yes I do," said Andrew. "Okay, so how is that going to happen if I am sleeping in a different room every night?" asked Zenith. "So you want to make a family with me?" asked Andrew. "We are already a family silly, I want more children like you do, said Zenith. What do you think?" Andrew grabbed Zenith and gave her a big kiss. "I take that as a yes, said Zenith. Let's get the kids and see what the bedrooms look like. I am sure they will be excited to see they have their own bedroom together." Not as excited as I am that we have the same room together," said Andrew.

When Mirela came out of the palace, Kendra told her that Quinn wanted to see where I live now. "Who is Quinn?" asked Mirela. "Over there the pixie, said Kendra. She is a good friend of mine and kept me company in the fairy forest. She even stayed in the little house and slept on the bed." "Okay so you don't need me, said Mirela. You two got wings and don't need me slowing you down. I want to hang out here anyway." "Okay, Quinn, come over and meet Mirela, said Kendra. This is who I am living with." "Hello Quinn I am Mirela, nice to meet one of Kendra's friends." "Nice to meet you too, said Quinn. Kendra wants to show me the house she lives in now. I wish I was as lucky as her." "Okay, Mirela is staying here so let's go," said Kendra. "Lead the way," said Quinn then they flew off. Mirela walked over to Alieta. "Quinn seems nice," said Mirela. "Yes she is, very nice and very wise, said Alieta. Just don't say anything about her size or you will get an earful from her." "I think she is a very cute little pixie," said Mirela. "That's good, said Alieta, just remember what I said." When Kendra and Quinn reached the house they landed on the deck. "Wow, this is where you live now? asked Quinn. It is huge." "Ya I know, much bigger than the house in the fairy forest, said Kendra. Come let me show you the inside." They went inside and Kendra showed Quinn all the rooms and even made a sandwich for each of them. After that, they went and sat on the deck. "You are so lucky to be able to live out here now, said Quinn. You don't have to put up with them crazy young pixies anymore like I have to." "Ya it is nice and quiet here and I even learned how to cook some," said Kendra. "You can cook now, how did that happen?" asked Quinn. "Ktara taught both of us, just the basics but now I am not as afraid of fire as I used to be." "Really, forest sprites hate fire just like pixies," said Quinn. "Ktara showed me when you know how to control it in the stove it can be your friend, said Kendra. I still don't like candles that much though." "I don't blame you, said Quinn. Why use a candle anyway, When it starts getting dark go to bed and when it gets light out just get up. Candles are stupid." "Well they do have their purpose for those that like to stay up longer," said Kendra. "I would love to be able to buy a house here but I don't have any money," said Quinn. "Neither do I, Mirela has all the money, she is a Gypsy Queen," said Kendra. "Really, like the real nice ones or the gypsies that fake being a queen? asked Quinn. I have met lots in my time and it is hard to come across a real Gypsy Queen. They are always out on their own. I haven't seen one since I came to Fae Land." "Mirela is real nice and Ivy said she is one of the last Gypsy Queens," said Kendra. "Okay, Ivy would know, so what do you want to do now?" asked Quinn. "Let's go see if Ktara has any brownies left. She made a whole bunch yesterday," said Kendra. "You and your sweet tooth, said Quinn. Sure let's go, I have never met her just heard she is a great cook from Ivy."

When they reached Ktara's place Kendra knocked on the door and Ktara opened it. "Hi Ktara, I see you're not out of your night clothes yet. Am I too early?" asked Kendra. "No not at all, I am just having one of those lazy days bumming around the house," said Ktara. "Oh, okay, we were just wondering if you had any brownies left," said Kendra. "You said we, I only see you here," said Ktara. "Oops sorry," said Kendra then moved to the side. "This is my good friend Quinn from the fairy forest." "My goodness, a pixie has never come to visit me before, said Ktara. Please come in and have a seat." They walked in and sat on the stools. "So isn't it a bit early in the day for brownies?" asked Ktara. "I don't think so," said Kendra. "It's never too early or late for sweets," said Quinn. "I suppose not for you two, said Ktara. Well, you are in luck, you must be able to sense chocolate and sweets like Ivy can sense evil. I came home from your place yesterday and decided to use up the rest of my flour and made a bunch of different pastries. There are a few brownies left. Let me show you." Ktara went to the ice box and pulled out two trays of pastries. "Wow, look at everything Quinn, I have never seen so many sweets in my entire life," said Kendra. "Okay here is a brownie for you Kendra and here is a bit smaller one for you Quinn," said Ktara. "Thank you, so you think I am small?" asked Quinn. "Well yes, pixies are small, that is part of what makes them so special and cute," said Ktara. Quinn smiled. "Yep, you're right, pixies are supposed to be small and not get bigger around tall people, like Pippa does for Alieta," said Quinn. "Ya, Alieta wanted her to get bigger for her and Quinn got mad at her after she already told her it hurts to get bigger than her regular size," said Kendra. "Well you are just fine the way you are, said Ktara. Does it hurt all pixies to get bigger than their normal size?" "Yep, that is why pixies don't come out of the forest much, said Quinn. Pixies are very fragile and not that strong so being around big tall people is scary to them. Not me though, I am used to being around tall people." "So does getting small, hurt too?" asked Ktara. "Nope, that is how we sleep and fly real fast, said Quinn. When we are really tiny there is next to no wind resistance so we can cut through the air super fast." "Okay, so who told you that?" asked Ktara. "Merlin, he taught me a bunch of really cool stuff, said Quinn. Ivy said he is a lot older looking now from when I knew him but still has a young heart." "Really, how long ago was that?" asked Ktara. "Let's see, he was just a young man back then so around a thousand years ago, said Quinn. Ivy said he comes here sometimes so it would be nice to see him again." "So you have been around for a long time then," said Ktara. "Yep, long before Merlin and long before Alieta, even before humans. Just Pippa, Triffies and the fairy nymphs are older than me, said Quinn. Just Pippa and me are the last very old pixies." "What happened to the other older pixies? asked Ktara. "They got killed when there were so many dragons around everywhere, said Quinn. Pippa and I stayed small and out of the woods and stayed hidden after seeing how the dragons hunted for food. Pixies naturally believe the woods and forests are the safest place to be but not when dragons are hungry and burn down the woods in all directions then eat all the dead animals. We tried telling the other pixies that the woods were not safe but they didn't believe us. That was a good brownie, can I have that one with the white cream in it please." "Yes, help yourself just don't eat them all, I want to give some to Ivy, Sara and Viridian." said Ktara. "You don't have to worry about me but Kendra has a sweet tooth she has a hard time controlling it," said Quinn. "Yes both her and Ivy I have been told, said Ktara. How long have you been in Fae Land?" Long before it was called anything, a little before Ginger and her friends got here, said Quinn. Pippa, Lily and me found those woods before anyone else was here." "Lilly? You don't mean Lilly the fairy oviously," said Ktara. "Oops, no not her, said Quinn. That is a secret, Pippa and I swore to keep her secret so don't try and trick me into telling you, I am really smart you know." Ktara smiled. "Don't worry I won't try and make you break your promise," said Ktara. "You are a good person, just as good as this cake," said Quinn.
