When Mika reached the palace she dropped her horse off at the stable then walked over to the palace and saw a man sitting on the couch. "Hello there, you must be Andrew, right?" asked Mika. "Yes, how did you know?" asked Andrew. "Ivy told me when we were doing nothing at her place," said Mika. "You know Ivy? asked Andrew. I have never met Ivy." "Ivy can sense and read people from far away, said Mika. She has to stop doing that now, Viridian told her she has to so she won't get burnt out or something like that." Mika sat on the arm of the couch. "Okay you are confusing me, said Andrew. Ivy told you my name when you were doing nothing with her and she can read people from far away but she is not allowed to anymore because someone else told her not to." "Yep that's right," said Mika. "Okay, so where is Ivy now?" asked Andrew. "Over there playing with the two kids and those tow elves," said Mika. Andrew looked over. "That is Ivy?" he asked. "Yep, pretty good looking don't you think," said Mika. "Yes very pretty, said Andrew. You know when my wife died, Kalvin took the loss very hard and wouldn't talk or play with anyone for the longest time, said Andrew. Then when we got here Alieta told him a moving story about Ivy. Then just like that he was back to his old self playing with people he has never seen before." "Yep, Fae Land is an amazing place plus Alieta has her own kind of magic that can make people feel better. So where is Alieta?" asked Mika. "She said she had to get back to the dining room to help finish the bottle of wine she was drinking with two other women," said Andrew. "Oh okay, said Mika. Would you like to meet Ivy?" "Well she seems busy playing with the kids," said Andrew. "She can take a break, besides there are two other elves there that can take care of them," said Mika. "Okay sure then," said Andrew. "Hey Ivy take a break and come over here. Andrew wants to meet you, yelled Mika. Oh by the way my name is Mika". Ivy walked over to the couch. "Hi Andrew, could you swish over a bit. I need to rest a bit, said Ivy. Boy those two can really move and your son is a very fast runner." "Yes he is an elf, elves can run fast, said Andrew. I just can't believe how much has changed in a short period of time. Not long ago I was at home wondering what to do and now I am here with my son that has been magically returned to his old self and I am sitting between two very beautiful women." "Well Mika is still a teenager but is quite the flirt at times," said Ivy. "I am not a flirt, said Mika, I am just very friendly." "I sort of have a boy friend so don't get any ideas," said Ivy. "It is nothing like that, said Andrew. You don't get it. I have never seen or been anywhere that is like this place where the people are so carefree and happy plus so friendly. The grass here is greener, everything is so clean. What is this place all about?" "Ivy you take it from here. You have been here longer and do the whole magic thing," said Mika. "Well Andrew, you came to Fae Land, the most magical place on the planet, said Ivy. This land is protected by God, well Fillina too. It wasn't always like this. It took many years and many battles in the earlier years that cost the people of Fae Land big time." "What do you mean by that," asked Andrew. "Well during the great wars before Alieta was queen and long before I was born, male elves were used to defend Fae Land, said Ivy. Many elves lost their lives until it looked like Fae Land was going to fall. If it wasn't for Alieta and her winged army that was in Cumberland mostly, fighting from the air and got word that Fae Land was in big trouble, then there would be no Fae Land now as we all know it. She brought her army here and wiped out every attack until word got out that Fae Land's army was too powerful to even try to invade. You see Fae Land went hundreds of years with no single male elves so no new babies were born. Just all the widowed and single elves were here that may or may not of had children. When Alieta became queen she changed everything in Fae Land to make the people here happy again. It was Alieta that that brought the love and happiness back to Fae Land with some help from God I guess. With the deal Alieta made with Katilina to bring male elves back to Fae Land, that hope of finally of having a family again spread very fast among the elves. That is the best I can do to explain it to you." "Well I will say you did a great job and now I understand a lot more about Fae Land," said Andrew. "Good, I am going in to see if Alieta will give a glass of wine to drink with them," said Mika. She hopped off the arm of the couch then gave Andrew a kiss on the cheek then ran into the palace. "See I told you, a big flirt," said Ivy. "That was really nice of her to do that and not really flirty," said Andrew. "Okay think what you want but get used to it, said Ivy. There is over two thousand single pretty elves in Fae Land, mostly in the elf vilage that is in walking distance to the palace." "Over two thousand! Oh my God," said Andrew. Mika walked into the dining room and saw Fillina telling a story to Alieta and Jannice. "Hi everyone, am I intruding?" asked Mika. "Hi Mika, I haven't seen you in a while, said Alieta. No not at all, sit with us." "Can I have a glass of wine too? I am old enough, you know," said Mika. "I suppose so," said Alieta and passed the bottle over to her. Fillina made a glass appear for Mika. "Oh so you're a wizard too like my dad," said Mika. "Nope she is a god, said Jannice. You should have heard the stories she has told us." "A god you said, that is pretty impressive," said Mika. "Yes, I am very good at impressing, said Fillina. Anyway, I got to go. Jannice you should stay here tonight and I will bring you and Jessie home in the morning. Don is at the bar right now with a few friends so I will tell him what is going on. Thank you Alieta for letting me sit at your table." Then Fillina vanished. "I still say she is a wizard," said Mika. "Well, do you know that story in the bible when God turned water into wine?" asked Alieta. "Yes, everyone knows that one," said Mika. "Well this bottle was almost empty but now it is full again, said Alieta. Fillina just turned air into wine and as you know, wizards can not make liquids or food. "Wow, I am inviting her to my next party," said Mika. "If my husband is back from work then it must be supper time, said Jannice. I better go and see what she wants to eat and clean her up some. I am sure the elves can take care of her and make sure she eats properly, said Alieta. I can have the kitchen make us a nice quiet dinner here." "Um no, I have never missed having supper with Jessie, said Janice. From the day she was born, I breastfed her and then spoon fed her until she learned how to feed herself. I have never missed having supper with her and I am not going to miss having supper with her today. I would have thought you knew what it is like to be a mother. "Actually, I know very little about being a mother to my own child because I never had one and probably never will," said Alieta. "Oh, I am so sorry," said Jannice. "I have an idea, said Mika. "Why don't we have the three of them come up here and we can all have supper together." "Three of them, who else is outside? asked Jannice. "Andrew and Kalvin of course. Ivy is down there with Andrew playing with the two kids," said Mika. "Yes I forgot to tell you, another male elf came with his four-year-old son, said Alieta. That is why I had to leave earlier, to talk to them." Well, Andrew is really cute and nice and would probably love to come in here and eat with us. I gave him a nice kiss on the cheek." "Why did you kiss him?" asked Alieta. "I already told you, he is cute and nice," said Mika. Alieta smiled. "You are such a flirt, said Alieta. "Hey, that is what Ivy said but I am just very friendly, maybe a bit of a flirt too, said Mika. What do you expect, I am a pretty teenager." Mirela and Kendra had their first supper in the new home and were cleaning up after eating. "You see, I can cook stuff, said Mirela. Just heat it up for a bit and it was ready to eat." "That is because I asked Lilly to put mostly fully cooked food in the ice box, said Kendra. I can't cook at all. The fairies always made the food for me and when you said you knew the basics that means you are good at boiling water." "Yep, I am really good at that then heating up a can of beans in the water," said Mirela. "That is not cooking, said Kendra. How did you survive when you were on your own?" "I ate at eateries mostly, said Mirela. Sometimes I would eat berries and apples, there is lots of food around if you look closely enough." "I see, well dishes are done so let's get ready for bed. I want to check out that new bed Lilly made," said Kendra. "And the new nighties I got for us," said Mirela. "Yes and the nighties too," said Kendra. They both went upstairs and got ready for bed. Mirela, how is this better than answering the door naked? asked Kendra. I can almost see right through it and doesn't hide much." Well that looks great on you, said Mirela amd it is much better than being nude. How do I look?" "Actually, you look great in yours, said Kendra. Very sexy. Exactly, nighties like these are designed to make a girl look sexy, said Mirela. Plus they are very light, and feel nice. Very girlie." "Well it is comfortable, said Kendra. Okay blow out the candles and let's get some sleep." In the morning they got up and went downstairs to have breakfast. Mirela opened the ice box to see what they had. "Do you know how to cook eggs," asked Mirela. "No, I told you I know nothing about cooking," said Kendra. "Neither do I for the most part," said Mirela. "I thought Lilly made stuff that was already cooked. Maybe you don't have to cook them," said Kendra. "Oh okay, grab a plate, said Mirela. Now I guess you have to take the shell off first but I don't see a place where you open it." "Maybe you have to crack the shell first," said Kendra. "Okay good thinking," said Mirela. She banged the egg on the side of the plate then it broke open and the insides oozed out onto the plate. "That doesn't look like any egg I've seen before," said Mirela. "Me either, maybe it is a bad one, said Kendra. Try another one." "Mirela broke open another egg and the same thing happened. "Well I suppose eggs need to be cooked, said Mirela. Let me boil some water." "No you don't, said Kendra. If you put an egg in boiling water it might explode. Maybe we should go to the palace and have breakfast there then we can ask Sally how she cooks her eggs." "We could but I did see a sign on the sidewalk in town not far from the clothing store that said Pancake House. Do you like pancakes?" asked Mirela. "Yep I love them covered in maple syrup and butter," said Kendra. "Well, let's go there instead of the palace. I will put on a different outfit and be able to show it off there," said Mirela. "Okay but why do you need to show it off?" asked Kendra. "You are a forest sprite and always wear the same thing, said Mirela. People expect you to dress like you do that makes you look very pretty and sexy. I am a human and we don't wear the same clothes every day and when we put on something new, we like to show it off to other people. That is part of buying new clothes. You like the way you look to other people but I like to change the way I look." "Okay so let's get dressed and go then," said Kendra. "Okay, beat you upstairs," said Mirela. Kendra smiled and then ran after her. Kendra changed back into her green sprite outfit then Mirela first started to brush her hair. "We should look for a mirror when we are in town, said Mirela. It is a bit brushing my hair when I can't see what I am doing." "Do you want me to brush your hair for you? "Nope, Should be good enough now, said Kendra. It always looks the same when I put on my head wrap. Mirela then put on the shorts and top she bought. "What do you think?" asked Mirela. "Wow that is a very new look for you, said Kendra. Very colourful." "Ya, I like lots of different colours," said Mirela. She then grabbed her scarf. "What are you doing?" asked Kendra. "I'm putting my scarf on," said Mirela. "Why, you just brushed that beautiful red hair of yours and now you are going to hide it," said Kendra. "Well gypsy girls always wear one, it is how people can tell we are gypsies," said Mirela. "Well you are not wandering the countryside anymore and don't need to let people know that you are a gypsy anymore, said Kendra. Here let me see that for a second." Kendra folded the scarf then tucked one end through a back belt loop and under the belt on Mirela's shorts then draped it across the front and tucked the other back end. "There now that is a better way to wear that scarf," said Kendra. "It does look good like that too," said Mirela. "It looks way better and now you can show off your beautiful red hair too. Let's get going, I am getting very hungry now." Mirela got her horse and they went to town. Once they got to the Pancake House they went in and sat down. "Smells good in here, said Kendra. "Yep I love the smell of being in different eateries, said Mirela. You can tell how good the food is." The waiter came up to them. "My two new customers, said the waiter. Not often I see such a pretty redhead and a forest sprite come in together. Ivy comes here a lot but always alone. So what can I get you two." "Well we don't know how to cook and tried to have eggs at home but when I broke one open it was all gooey and Kendra said it might explode if I boiled it so we came here for pancakes," said Mirela. The waiter smiled. "Well you have to fry eggs or boil them before you can eat them," said the waiter. "So they won't explode if you boil them?" asked Kendra. "No but if you boil them for too long they will crack open, said the waiter. Now we have a pancake breakfast that comes with bacon and a cup of tea or coffee that is two dollars." "Really, just two dollars, said Mirela. That is a very good price. I will have tea with mine please. No milk and two sugar." "I will have the same please, said Kendra." "Very well, said the waiter then left. "You see he liked your red hair," said Kendra. "How to you know that?" asked Mirela. "He just said a redhead and a forest sprite. Remember all forest sprites can read people some and he definitely like your hair," said Kendra. "Oh ya but I do feel a bit naked not having my scarf on," said Mirela. "Well you have it with you and if you need to put it on your head, you can but I wouldn't," said Kendra. In a few minutes the waiter came back with their pancakes and tea. "Here you go, if you need anything else just call. I have to say you have very pretty red hair and it looks natural," said the waiter. "It is natural," said Mirela. "Wonderful, not many natural redheads in Fae Land. Now remember if you need anything and I mean anything just call for me," said the waiter then he left. "Wow he was hitting on me," said Mirela. "Yep he sure was, said Kendra. I told you it wasn't a good idea to hide your hair." "Your right, I haven't had a man hit on me in a long time," said Mirela. Kendra picked up her tea and so did Mirela. "Here is to showing off," said Kendra. After they finished eating and Mirela paid the bill, they went outside. "So we need to find a mirror now," said Mirela. "We can just get Lilly to make that for us, said Kendra. She loves getting out of the forest and making stuff for people." "Okay, so what do we do next?" asked Mirela. "Let's go to Ktara's place and see if she will teach you to cook," said Kendra. "What about Tempressa, I really want to meet her," said Mirela. "I don't know where Tempressa lives, somewhere in the north town, said Kendra. I do know where Ktara lives and it is not that far from here and close to Ivy's place." "Okay, then Ktara it is. Let's go," said Mirela. They went and got Mirela's horse and headed to Ktara's house. When they went past Carmen and Zatsuky's place Mirela saw them outside sunbathing again. "Who are they," asked Mirela. "Just Carmen and Zatsuky grabbing some rays," said Kendra. "They really don't wear much do they," said Mirela. "It is their property and they can do what they want on it, said Kendra. They usually don't wear anything." "So will Ktara be sunbathing like them too?" asked Mirela. "No, she is much more private. She will probably be in her kitchen cooking something, said Kendra. She doesn't eat much of what she makes but loves feeding other people. That is her place up there." When they reached the house Kendra knocked on the door. "Come on in the door is open," yelled Ktara. "Wow it smells nice in here," said Mirela. "That would be the brownies in the oven," said Ktara. "Nice to see you Kendra, who did you bring with you?" "This is Mirela, we are both living in a log house that Keiko fixed up in the elf village," said Kendra. "That is great, said Ktara. "So are you just visiting or are you hungry?" "We just had pancakes at the Pancake House," said Mirela. "Ya they make good pancakes, almost as good as mine," said Ktara. "That is why we are here, said Mirela. Keiko told me that you and Tempressa taught Pixie Ginger how to cook and I was wondering if could teach us too?" "I taught Ivy also, said Ktara. She didn't even know how to light a stove. So what do you two know so far about cooking?" "Well I know nothing and Mirela knows how to boil water, said Kendra. We couldn't even figure out how to cook an egg together." "Well, cooking eggs can be a bit tricky, said Ktara. When boiling them you need to time it just right and there are a lot of ways of frying eggs. There is sunny side up, over easy, yoke removed and cooked to the side and scrambled to mention a few. I know what you would like Kendra. I saw you looking at the cake on the counter, Do you want a piece?" "Yes please a big piece," said Kendra. "What you just ate," said Mirela. "I know but there is something you should know about Forest Sprites, said Kendra. We have two big weaknesses. The first is ice cream and the second is chocolate, Candy runs a close third." "So sweet stuff," said Mirela. "Yep, it makes our wings stronger so we can fly faster and for longer distances, said Kendra. Once Ivy and I ate almost an entire chocolate cake big enough for ten people. We got really sick and brought it up in the washroom. When we came back out to the kitchen we saw what was left of the cake so we finished it off and then had some ice cream." "You're kidding," said Mirela. "No, she isn't, said Ktara. Forest sprites are very smart but they just can't resist ice cream and chocolate. If it wasn't for Viridian living with Ivy and Sara the two of them would finish an entire tub of ice cream each. Here you go Kendra, enjoy." "So even if you are not hungry you can still eat that big piece of cake?" asked Mirela. "Once I saw the cake I got hungry again so yes I can, said Kendra, watch." "Okay I will teach two how to cook some basic meals but I have to finish here first, said Ktara. I have another batch of brownies going in the oven once these ones are ready so that will take about thirty minutes. After Kendra is finished eating you two can bring this cake over to Viridian. You best carry it Mirela." "Yep you better carry it," said Kendra. After Kendra finished the cake Ktara gave Mirela the cake. "Viridian's place is around the corner so just follow Kendra, said Ktara. When you get back we can go to town and pick up some stuff I will need then head to your place. Have you got pots and pans and containers I can store food in?" "Yep I had Lilly make all that stuff for us, said Kendra. She seened to know what we needed." "Good then I will see you back here in thirty minutes when the brownies are done. Can I have one of them when we get back," asked Kendra. "Yes of course and so can Mirela," said Ktara. "A brownie on top of cake and pancakes, where does she put it all?" asked Mirela. "I don't know but one thing you don't want to do with a forest sprite is make them mad. The get very scary looking and can be quite dangerous, said Ktara. Ask Alieta about how Ivy saved her life." "I would never hurt you or Mirela," said Kendra. "I know that but would you let anyone hurt Mirela?" asked Ktara. "Nope I would rip his eyes out and kick him where the sun don't shine," said Kendra. "See pretty scary stuff, said Ktara. Okay off you two go." When they got to Viridian's place, Kendra knocked on the door. Viridian answered it. "Hello Kendra, come on in, who is your friend? "This is Mirela, my new room mate," said Kendra. "Oh yes, Ivy told me about you being the last of the Gypsy Queens," said Viridian. "Ktara gave me a cake to bring over for you," said Mirela. "Well thank you so how was it Kendra? I see there is a piece missing," said Viridian. "It is really good," said Kendra. "Ya everything she makes tastes great. I will put it on the counter for now, said Viridian. I see you didn't have any of the cream and pecans." "Nope I don't like pecans. Nuts are for squirls," said Kendra. "Yes I suppose, well have a seat for a bit," said Viridian. They all sat down. "You know the waiter at the Pancake House said Redheads were very rare in Fae Land but I saw one sun bathing almost nude on the way to Ktara's place and you have kind of red hair plus I have seen other elves with red hair," said Mirela. "Well Zatsuky is a elf and so am I but my hair is more amber than red. Looks redder in the sunlight. Red hair on a human girl is very rare here," said Viridian. "Oh okay so he was telling the truth then and not hitting on me then," said Mirela. "He probably did hit on you, said Viridian. Having a redhead as a girl friend or wife would make all his friends envious of him." "Yep he hit on her alright," said Kendra. "There you go, Kendra would know. So what are you two up to today?" asked Viridian. "Well we are going back to Ktara's place and she is giving us a brownie each then we are going to our place where she is going to teach us how to cook," said Kendra. "I see, so I take it neither of you know how to cook, said Viridian. Ivy was like that too but know she is a very good cook. You know before Ktara started teaching her, she wouldn't even go close to the stove. She was so affraid of fire that she would never light the candle in her room. She would just go to bed when it started to get dark and wake up when the sun came up." "Is that why both candles are at my side of the bedroom now and you asked me to blow them out and then went straight to bed?" asked Mirela. "Ya, but fire kills and distroys trees and plants. I don't like fire," said Kendra. "Okay that makes sense coming from someone that helps trees and plants to grow," said Mirela. "Yep that is the same answer Ivy gave Ktara, said Viridian. Ivy is better around fire now but still is very careful around it. Forest sprites can be a bit on the nutty side sometimes when it comes to certain things." "I am not nutty, said Kendra. Well maybe a little bit but nothing like pixies." "True but I never heard of pixies eating and entire cake and a tub of ice cream and making themself sick, said Viridian or seeing how high you can fly then passing out because of the lack of air then free falling down, waking up just before you hit the ground, like you and Ivy did together. You wouldn't believe some of the nutty things those two did together after Kendra came to Fae Land." "Well we were happy to see each other again," said Kendra. "I suppose, said Viridian but most people hug and talk to each other, finding out what they have been doing," said Viridian. "Oh we did that first, said Kendra. Then we started playing together again." Alieta was outside of the palace when Andrew and Kalvin walked up to her. "Good morning, how did you two sleep last night?" asked Alieta. "Great," said Andrew. "I slept good too, said Kalvin. I had a nice dream also, want to hear? I was in a big sandbox with Jessie and there were slides and even a rocking horse there we took turns on." "Well I am glad you slept well and had a nice dream," said Alieta. "Yep but then it started to rain so we went into someone's house, I think it was Jessie's house then we had ice cream and everything," said Kalvin. "Well he is back to his old self, said Andrew. A real chatterbox." "Where is Jessie now? asked Kalvin. Well, she left with her mother earlier to go home. They wanted to get back before her father went to work so Jessie could give him a kiss. One of the things they do as a family, said Alieta. Something I know very little about it seems." "So who am I going to play with today? asked Kalvin. Well there will be lots of elves around soon, said Alieta. I am sure some of them will play with you." "I guess but they are all older. Jessie is my age and we like the same stuff." "Well maybe I can get Sakura and Lulu to come over, they love to play and Jessie played with Sakura yesterday, they had lots of fun. I am sure something nice will turn up, said Alieta." "Don't worry the elves will be fine for now, said Andrew. I will play with him when I get back." "Where are you going? asked Alieta. "Well I need a place of my own so I was going to look for a place in the elf village," said Andrew. "Really, you alone in the village with all those pretty elves around. There is no way you will find a place with them all over the place," said Alieta. "Well, what am I supposed to do?" asked Andrew. "Wait until Ginger comes out. She is in charge of all that stuff and will take you to a place for you to look at, said Alieta. She should be out soon." "Okay that sounds good too, said Andrew. Come Kalvin, time for your lessons before you start playing." What lessons?" asked Alieta. "Every elf starts being taught Elvish when they are four years old," said Andrew. Yep, Dad is teaching me the elf language," said Kalvin. "Wow I don't even know that language," said Alieta. "Then come with us and learn it with me. It isn't that hard and Dad makes it fun too," said Kalvin. Okay, I will after Ginger comes out and let her know what I need her to do," said Alieta. "Okay see you," said Kalvin. "Yep soon he will be a chatterbox in two languages," said Andrew. Alieta waited for Ginger and in a few minutes, she came out of the palace. "Hi Ginger, how did you do with the radios yesterday?" asked Alieta. "We got rid of them all, mostly in the North Town, said Ginger. So when I got back I was told you were entertaining in the dining room so I didn't come up and disturb you." "Well, you could have joined us. It was just Jannice and Fillina at first then Mika joined in, said Alieta. Then Jannice got her daughter and asked Andrew and his son to join us for supper in the dining room. After supper, the kids played together while the adults drank some more wine. When it was time for bed, Mika went home, Andrew took his son to their room and Jannice took her daughter to their room. I was beat so I went to my bedroom and went to sleep." "So wait a minute, when I left you told me a woman was headed towards the palace on a horse riding very slowly. What was she like and who are all these other people?" asked Ginger. Well, the woman on the horse is Mirela and she is the last of the Gypsy Queens that Ivy found out. Very nice pretty girl with lots of money and Keiko fixed an old log house up for her. Kendra moved out of the fairy forest and Mirela is letting her share the house with her for free. Jannice is a woman from Haven that came all the way to the palace with her three and a half year daughter that wanted to see the fairies and sprites. Wonderful child Jessie is. Then later Andrew arrived with his four-year-old son Kalvin from Triland. His wife died a couple of years ago. Kalvin and Jessie hit it off nicely and played together for the rest of the day. Yesterday was full of fun surprises." "Wow and I missed it all," said Ginger. "Well, Jannice will be back with Jessie and her husband Don on the weekend and Andrew and Kalvin are in their room, said Alieta. He wants to buy a house in the elf village but I wouldn't let him go alone in there looking around with all those pretty single elves walking around so I told him you would find a place for him." "So he must be good looking then?" asked Ginger. "Oh yes very handsome and a bit older than the other male elves that are here. Very smart and a very nice guy. So maybe you could fins a house for him while I go up and learn elvish." "I thought you knew that already," said Ginger. "Nope, never needed to learn it but Andrew is teaching Kalvin it so I figured why not learn something new, said Alieta. I will be able to talk to you in your native tongue." "Well elvish hasn't been our native tongue in two hundred years, said Ginger. English is now. The only time elves use the elf language is when they are very mad at someone or need to act like they don't know how to speak English. Well now I will be able to do the same, said Alieta. Anyways. I need to get up there so I don't miss more of the lesson." Then Alieta went into the palace. "Man, it figures when I go away for a while all kinds of things happen and what the heck is a Gypsy Queen?" wondered Ginger. Ginger was about to go to the stable and get Black Magic to take her to the village and see if one of the houses she asked top be cleaned up was ready yet, when someone called out for her. She turned around and saw Milena walking towards her. "Well hello Milena what are you doing here? asked Ginger. Nice outfit by the way." "Thanks, Candy made it for me, said Milena. I was just wondering if you needed any extra help in the palace. I need to make some extra money to replace a few things that are too old now and not worth fixing." "Like what, asked Ginger. "Oh just my bed and ice box plus the wood stove is not good now, said Milena. The couch sags in the middle and one leg broke off so I am using books to hold it up. Stuff like that." "So basically you need to refurnish and replace all the appliances," said Ginger. "I guess but the kitchen table is just a bit warped and wiggles a bit when you touch it but the chairs are all good and solid," said Milena. Ginger smiled. "Tell you what, you come with me and and help me check out a few houses that someone wants to buy in the village and I will see what I can do for you," said Ginger. "Okay that sounds good, said Milena. "So where is your horse?" asked Ginger. "Died a few weeks ago. I need to buy a new horse too," said Milena. "Wow when things go they all go at once it seems, said Ginger. Well, my horse is strong enough to take us both. Come let's go get him."
